Would come again

Nicely decorated, delicious breakfast. We have upper rooms all on the higher End , didn’t hear people, bit in the morning traffic loud sounds.

As it is often windy, the doors are very loud at night, claping. Few times water presurre issue.

Exceptional

Sibu Lodge was perfect! Excellent location with a 5 minute walk into Santa Elena town. The room was clean and comfy and spacious. Hot running water in the shower and taps. Breakfast included was a lovely treat and you can choose from 4 different options. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Thank you!

comfortable, clean, convenient

this was the best place we stayed in all of Costa Rica. it was clean, the location was good for this town, walking distance to the center, and the breakfast was big and filling.

it was a bit noisy on a rainy night and I could hear my neighbors next door. so the walls are thin and the roof made of tin. But for me compared with all my other Costa Rica stays this was a minor issue

Nice lodge, modern comforts, well located.

Very nice landscaping. Friendly house cat. Excellent staff.

The room is a bit small, but the common areas are very nice.

bad experience in Monteverde

we booked at the Rustic lodge, but as it was apparently full they changed us to Country Lodge, which is a run down place

Comfortable and clean hotel

This is a very nice and clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. We liked the location since it was in a calm area, but you need to walk a little to go to Santa Elena center with restaurants etc.

The only bad thing is that the accoustic isolation between rooms is not great ,and you can hear a lot from the neighbouring rooms. Nevertheless, it was not a problem to us.

Great stay at a quieter section of the town

Located in a nice quiet area only a short walk away from the city center, parking available, good breakfast selection. I actually stayed in the hotel next door (Cipreses), I think they have the same owner, although I booked here, so I can't tell you anything about the room in the Rustic Lodge, but the Cipreses room were nice, comfortable and spacious. Staff was friendly at both places. Great value for money.

Nice place to stay with tasty breakfast

Tasty multiple choice breakfast - the pancakes with the fruits were yummy. Room with terrace was comfy decorated with taste. Friendly and professional staff. Friendly black cat at the premises. Help with trip/activities' organisation and taxi ordering.

There could have been a line in the room or hooks close to the window to hang the wet clothes Missing shelves close to the sink in the bathroom. To get there you need to walk quite a bit a steep hill so you will probably need a taxi to get there with the luggages when coming from the bus station.

I liked the place a lot.

Quiet from other rooms but a bit of night time noise from adjacent road, dogs and strong wind.

We would choose it again

Our room was very nice and big. The hotel is nice and has a small patio. Very good breakfast. Only about 10 minutes from the city centre.

A fridge in the room would have been nice

Nice short stay before doing the Superman & Tarzan Swing at a nearby Adventure Park! Tasty rich breakfast and very nice and helpful staff.

Fantastic value - large spacious room with great views and delicious breakfast.

Rustic Lodge is absolutely fantastic value for money. We had the corner room which is featured in the main photograph and it was spacious and airy and the big picture window gave us great views. Add on to that a delicious breakfast (you pre-book your breakfast time slot the day before) and you have a great stay and terrific value.

Absolutely nothing. It’s about a 20 minute walk out of the village up a steep hill but we definitely saw nowhere else in the area which would be as good as Rustic Lodge.

hard beds, not the most central, would only recommend to people with car (3 minutes drive to center)

Great value for money and friendly staff.

We liked the staff and the value for money we got for our stay.

We struggled to sleep while we there because it rained every night. Because roof was made out of metal we could hear every single drop. So you can imagine how noise it got every night.

Excellent Lodge

I loved the fact it was a beautiful small lodge. The staff were great and the room was great. It wasn’t too far away from the centre. Breakfast was exceptional as well. The hotel had links to all the activities as well

One problem I had was, the people next door to me were smoking, and the smell kept coming into my room. I suffer from asthma badly, and it affected my breathing. I told the staff, and they went and told the people. Not that it mattered because they smoked up again. Not necessarily the hotels fault, but that didn’t leave a great feeling

Exceptional

The owners didn't open the venue due to the slow season. They arranged us an upgrade to Poco A Poco hotel at the same rate. Poco A Poco was lovely. Nice pool. Nice nature trail and rainbow every morning.

Rustico was a great find with a helpful and kind staff, excellent breakfast + tea/coffee time 3-4pm.

Great a la carte breakfast - we got to choose from 4 different breakfast options. Coffee or tea and juice. Lots of fruits. The reception staff was very helpful with great tips on what to do; they also helped us book activities.

Room layout could be better but we understand this is an older building and so they can't do much about the layout.
