Very charming hotel with historic charm. I would get deluxe room next time just due to size and having street view but very happy with stay and value. Staff polite and friendly with walking distance to dining. Also entertainment and dining on site. Only issue is parking is somewhat challenging on the street but would stay again!

Lovely hotel and convenient to downtown and restaurants. It was not very quiet- you could definitely hear people above you walking and talking from the room next door. However with an old building that is to be expected. The charm of the hotel more than makes up for some noise. The only negative was the lack of hot water. It didn’t matter when you showered the hot water only lasted for about 3 minutes. Just had to take fast showers. We not hesitate to stay her again.

Hotel is very quiet! Building was an old furniture store turned into a hotel 5 years ago. Very convenient to UNA campus and restaurants/bars. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Would stay again.

Love this hotel. Nice people who run it, great staffing, fantastic location, good price. Walking distance to food/shopping. BBB right down stairs, yummy breakfast!

Our grand daughter goes to UNA. A unique place to stay. We have booked two more stays.

Overall comfortable bed and clean and beautiful decor. I downgraded clean score because of water stains on rug. They need to throw rug out or clean it.
There’s no designated parking for hotel. So you have to find open spot on street.
Also The pictures on site are not exactly what you get. I got window room but I look at ally and dumpsters. It wasn’t a walk in shower either. It was a tub with shower

We loved the location and the vibes were great. The staff were very friendly. The only issue we had was with the toilet being finicky, but otherwise everything was great. May be back soon! Thanks Stricklin Hotel!

My husband and I stayed for an overnight trip to Florence, AL. The staff was super sweet and the place was neat and clean. We loved the bar and bowling in the basement and the BBB breakfast place below the hotel was the best in town.

What a quaint, beautifully appointed hotel! Walking distance to UNA and in the heart of downtown.

The hotel is awesome and staff were friendly
However it was Friday night and we did not get to sleep until 2:30 when the traffic and party on the street below went home. The motorcycles 11:02 revving and playing Dwight Yokum was too much along with all the other cars with loud music. We heard the next day that Friday and Saturday nights are not when you want to stay there

Stayed 1 night. We hope to one back to Florence in future and stay again. Was fantastic stay. We were there on a Tuesday, stayed in Room 308. I don’t know about sound on weekends but was very quiet on a Tuesday. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel in a great location. Nice BBQ place for a late lunch directly across street. Stopped at Boiler Room downstairs for some happy hour food and drinks - good service and food/drinks there. Went next door go FloBama as they had live music and had great time there. Next day toured both FAME and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio which we thoroughly enjoyed. Parking was on street it we had no issues(and was free).

Pleasantly surprised I would definitely come back again.

Only the problem I encountered was car parking

The property had a very old classic feel. The design was also interesting. Having said that, there are many cosmetic updates that need to be done. New sheet rock, etc. I didnt really feel like the price fit. Our bathroom just didnt seem clean, and the towels had hair in them. My hair is short so i know it wasnt mine! The bed was comfortable and it did feel safe, with 3 key locks that had to open to enter the room. That was a plus when there is no on staff help downstairs!

This has become one of our favorite place for a weekend get away. In the past it has been amazing, however this time there was a wedding party that also rented out the party area. That made resting before their party was over almost impossible. They were allowed to play club level music until after midnight, they then stood in the hallway yelling to each other for awhile. This would have been helpful information for the hotel to communicate or to handle in a more accommodating way. The hotel itself it’s fantastic, this stay was less than desirable.

Convenience to downtown and anywhere else in Florence.
Heard lots of noise in the room.
There is a need for magnifying wall mirror in bathroom as lighting was dim.

Very convenient to UNA and walkable to the University and local restaurants.

I personally found pros and cons for this hotel. Pros- Great location for walking to several restaurants and bars downtown, safe environment, comfortable bed, good hot water and pressure in shower. Cons- There were literally tons of hairs in the covers that were not mine (NASTY), there were also a pair of someone else's underwear that must have been stuffed under bathroom sink plumbing (not sure if someone had them stuffed there for a reason and then when I moved the Stob for the sink stopper they fell??, but still gross), you could hear music coming from somewhere around us till past 11:00pm while we were trying to go to sleep. This was a nice hotel, but I will not be staying here again due to the cons I listed.

Lots of character, excellent breakfast. Internet was out our entire stay, bed was very uncomfortable - had a large hump in the middle. Tv was small, no microwave, no comfortable seating. Was a bit disappointed, was expecting better.

I loved the location but parking can be a little aggravating. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Also, connected to one of the best breakfast places.

We stayed on the 3rd floor facing Court street. At 1:30am there were guys blowing the streets and I was up all night. The next night it was drunks fighting and yelling. I won’t stay in that room again! Also no phone to call the front desk for help! It was not good and no one at the desk until 7-7:30am. Bad experience!

I love the accommodations and the location.

Quaint hotel, great area, lots of restaurants in the area, comfortable bed, nice bathroom.
Few issues- more body wash please, do not disturb sign was not honored on check out day before check out time.
Front desk staff was great.

Room without windows.
The bed was terribly uncomfortable, as were the pillows. Without a fan or ambient light, it was nearly impossible to sleep. My partner and I only got about 2.5 hours of sleep. Room should be laid out better with lights that can be reached from the bed (not the hallway)

We enjoyed our stay for the most part. There was a small issue with cleanliness, since it appeared there was a drink spill that was not cleaned before our checkin. Also, the handle on our toilet was broken and when mentioned to the staff at the front desk, they just said they already had note of it and acted like it was no big deal.

Will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in this area

The place was great. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Only negative was the on street parking.

This review is a decidedly average in the context of how the property views itself and the cost. Room was clean (no window but that wasn;t a big deal). Staff was essentially unattentive and couldn;t care less that you were staying there. Not in a bad way but completely ambivalent and unapologetic for the minor inconvenicences that arose (room key did not work so had to go back downstairs...one person didn't even apologize just recoded it and handed it back. The other one who was there for at leat 8 hours didn;t say a word, look at you and spent her time taking selfies and watching movies on her phone). Also slight dings for not having parking lot..had to park on street. Street parking was free but had to walk a half a block between car and hotel with bags. For $200 a night, just feel it should be better. Will not go back.

The room was amazing! It was really cute and the bed was super comfortable. The hallways were definitely loud, but since we had an interior room, we didn't have any problems sleeping due to noise.

Parking a problem
3.0
Pros: Cute rooms, great area with lots to do. Boiler Room bar and bowling is right down stairs. Lots of parking all around the hotel. Really close to campus.
Cons: Paper thin walls, so you'll hear the band when you're trying to sleep, and you'll hear EVERYTHING your neighbor is doing. If someone is in the room above you it will sound like they're moving furniture. Brown bath water.

It was a very unique and beautiful place. Would highly recommend!

Rooms small but comfortable. No place to work if you need a desk in the room. Also, A/C blew straight onto the bed into my face which disturbed sleep during the night.

Beautiful hotel! Only complaint was we could hear the band in the bar on side of hotel. I brought earplugs and it helped.
