About this house rental
Located in Surf City, this attractive house for $398 per night is a great choice for your next break. “Sea Life” A well decorated, pet friendly, ocean view townhome in a convenient location just walking distance to the pier, restaurants, bars and shops, with its own private, covered parking for two vehicles. How you interpret ‘sea life’ is down to you! It may be the wonderful marine life on the island that you’ll spot, the shells you collect, the life on the beach around you - whatever you find brings you happiness and a sense of fulfilment at the ocean. This is one of the most popular locations on the island! The home is on an ocean front lot. You can see it has two duplexes built in front of it but you still have a great ocean and beach view to your left, right and straight ahead. You are only a number of steps to the sand! You can sit out on the high top deck chairs, and enjoy the scenery. Plus as an extra bonus you can clearly see the waves, and often dolphins, from the kitchen and living area. Guests love this location as the home is on a quiet street. It’s very rare there’s any street noise so you can hear the ocean at night too! We have a wonderful private beach access for the townhomes to use and it’s literally steps from the front door. There is no road to cross to the beach and you are almost on the beach due to being on an ocean front lot already! You will not need to carry the beach gear far that's for sure. So much easier if you have little ones or your dogs with you. Bed linens, Bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, along with all the necessary items such as hair dryers, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning sprays, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet paper and washing detergents are all provided for you with no limit! Plus beach chairs, loungers, Beach towels, umbrella, beach toys, and a beach blanket. We even provide a furry friends kit if you are bringing along your pet- dog bowls, poop bags, dog blankets, a medium/ small crate and of course some tasty treats are all there for your dog. It's their vacation too right!? All this is included in your stay at no extra cost to you! The home has 3 smart TVs including one 65” screen with 125 channels including ESPN. The kitchen is fully equipped with all items you will need if you decide to cook in and enjoy the ocean view on an evening. There is a water boiler, coffee machine and a keurig and pods. The home has a king bed in the ocean side bedroom, a queen and twin in the second bedroom on the quiet roadside with the washing machine and dryer. I feel the size of the home would best suit families of up to 3-5 people. The kitchen, dining and living area is upstairs. There’s one flight of stairs to access this area in the house, and there are stairs outside from the carport up to the front door. The two bedrooms and bathroom are on the lower floor. The unit is 978 sq foot. We have had this rental just over a year and refurbished it at the start of 2023. We have changed most of the furniture and decor and added everything you need- if you have stayed at the home before please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have. We are very excited to host you in 2024- we have been having vacations on Topsail island for many years and adore the island. We want you to enjoy our new home and Topsail Island as much as we do. We have the most wonderful, thorough cleaning/ hospitality manager who we are very lucky to have so we hope to provide you with an amazing stay. Topsail really is a special place- the beach is amazing, very relaxing and there's plenty to see and do for all types of beach fanatics! Lastly we ask to report any items broken or not working. We stay at the house regularly to keep an eye on things and need to know about any problems so we can fix them for our next guests. We take immense pride in the home and want it to be enjoyed by all.

Our family needed some beach therapy and we happened to find this place on VRBO in a beach town we’ve never visited before. Pippa was easy to communicate with and Christine (the property manager) sent me a text the day of and was easy to get a hold of if needed. The place was exactly as described, awesome location to the beach, and great views of the ocean. We walked almost every where we went. It was a very quiet and relaxing vacation. Our kids loved that they each had their own bed and our pup enjoyed visiting the ocean for the first time. The king bed was also very comfortable! We will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Overall our stay was amazing! I stayed last year at the same property (different owner) and Pippa has really impressed me. She had everything there for us we would possibly need, even beach towels! Loved how she even had dog bowls and treats there as well. We did have a problem with the lock on the front door. In the middle of our stay it just quit working. Pippa and the property manager, Christine, were on it right away. Communication was top notch! We enjoyed our stay so much we booked the property for the same week for next year! Thank you for being such amazing hosts and we can't wait to come back next year!

Wonderful property with great location. Quiet and friendly neighborhood and right on the beach. Needed to bring very few supplies with the amount of amenities there. Would stay again or would recommend to friends and family.

This unit has a convenient location and is close enough to the water to enjoy the sight and sound of the ocean. The bedrooms are on the level where you enter the unit with the living area being on the up a flight of wooden stairs. The stairs are slippery. We have an older std poodle that is still very active. He had problems slipping on these steps with us holding onto his harness. It was bad enough he did not want to go down these steps. Unfortunately do the the layout of the unit and the limited space downstairs we had to take him upstairs. He has gone up and down stairs every place we have lived. Now that he is older we simply hold onto to his harness as we go up and down stairs without any problems. The stairs are not pictured on the web so that prospective renters can be aware when making their rental decision which is wrong. We made the owner aware of the problem, however nothing was offered.
Putting a runner up the stairs or putting carpet on the tread surface would be relatively inexpensive and should improve the situation and hopefully this will be done.
Otherwise the unit is satisfactory.

Very Clean with new furniture, beds, linens, and fridge really make the place look great. The gift basket with a bottle of champagne, chocolates, and other snacks was a very nice surprise. Place is well stocked, with coffee pods and machine, beach chairs, umbrella, We had a wonderful stay as usual. Checkin was super easy and communication as always was great. This is our go to place for beach get aways. Convient to everything, steps to the beach, ocean view from deck (great place for morning coffee) and pet friendly with treats, water and food bowls, blankets, poop bags on ring with flashlight (comes in real handy at night) and kennel. We had a wonderful relaxing time. If you are looking for a great escape to the beach for fun, sun, and relaxation that is not over crowded look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Such a gem and might as well be oceanfront! Super cute (dog friendly) townhouse pretty much right on the beach! We stayed with our toddler and dog and it was PERFECT! Communication was amazing and we will DEFINITELY be back. Loved our stay!

My husband and our fur baby had a wonderful time at "Working Remotely". Convenient and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, bed slept well, and we were walking distance to many places. Access to the beach was so easy too.

This property perfectly met our needs for this vacation. With three teenagers I do a good bit of cooking and the kitchen had everything I needed. The deck was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee watching the waves. The beds were very comfortable, the bedrooms are a bit small but it didn’t bother us as we spent most of our time upstairs enjoying the view. Communication was excellent. The binder in the living area was full of useful information and explained clearly what was expected at check out. We walked down to a couple of shops and restaurants one day, so close enough to be considered walking distance. We look forward to staying here again next year.

Condo is literally 50 steps from the beach with private beach access (only for this quadplex). Comfortable furniture and beds, a better view of the beach than I expected for a "second row" house.

Steps from the beach. Great location if you enjoy walking, you never need to drive to go out and find places to eat. We walked down the beach to grab lunch almost daily. I'd recommend for a couple or small family only

The property was just as advertised and the location to the beach was great. The view was wonderful, considering the property is not technically oceanfront. We enjoyed long days at the beach, quick walks, and looking for sharks teeth (we found more than expected). We were able to walk to the shops and restaurants, which was a little bit of a walk, but manageable, as we made many stops in the shops and cafes along the way. Ted was very helpful and easy to contact. We loved the earlier check in time.! Thanks for a great week!

Ted is great at communicating and helping. This property is a 1/2 mile walk to all the shops, which is a nice way to start your morning to get a coffee or stop for breakfast. You can see the beach from the property and it's a 1 minute walk until your feet are in the sand.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The property was clean, which was a nice change as we had rented twice from a large company in the area the last two years and both of their homes were not nearly as clean as we would expect. Everything was comfortable and having the majority of amenities there was very convenient. With a very short walk to the beach, we were able to take our children out multiple times a day then come back in for snacks and lunch. The balcony offered a much broader view than you can see in the photos, as well. If we return to Surf City next year we would absolutely rent this condo again.

The location was great. Even though it's not completely ocean front, it has great views of the ocean with a private beach access. The neighborhood was nice, close to plenty of shopping and restaurants. The interior was well maintained and comfortable. The only small complaint I have is that the floors needed a good cleaning. Being a beach property, I understand that's not an easy thing to keep clean. I was very pleased with our stay and overall experience. I would recommend this location and host.

Our first time to Surf City. It was great. The condo was nice, clean and had great views of the ocean. We loved sitting on the balcony. Beach access was easy. Ted checked on us and renting from him was a great experience. We loved being able to take our puppy. Would rent this unit again!

Ted’s place is wonderful and he is a delight to deal with. The unit is comfortable, clean, well equipped, has beautiful views and proximity to the beach. It’s in an idyllic location in Surf City. In fact, we didn’t get in our car once in 4 days because of that! We were planning on exploring a little but thoroughly enjoyed the area ( lots of great restaurants, cute shops and NO CHAINS) . We made a last minute reservation here and very grateful that it worked out. Our dog adored it too.
