There are 64 steps up to the house from the street but so worth it! Fenced and gated for privacy, it is perched in the Hollywood Hills, a ten-minute walk from Universal Studios and City Walk. Its central location is close to the Hollywood Bowl and the Bowl shuttle lot, Griffith Park, hiking, the LA Zoo, shopping and restaurants. Formal living and dining rooms, two patios, shaded backyard hammock for relaxing or reading, outdoor dining area, and free parking make this home perfect for entertaining, vacationing, work, or romantic getaways.

Great location, house was clean and very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked with fresh avocados, milk, eggs, and spices. Utilities were useful. The shower and bathtub were a plus! Would love to stay here again!

We felt transported to old world Provence in this hollywood hills property. Perfect match of antique and modern finishes. Everything was spotless. Host provided us with snacks and first days breakfast in the fridge which was a lovely and unexpected touch. We walked to dinner and the next morning about 8-10 min to the Universal Studios shuttle.

I wasn’t quite prepared to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the front door with a bone spur. I may have missed that detail. It’s a very lovely home and the proprietor is lovely as well. She stocked the fridge and cabinet with some food. It was a nice experience overall.

The family and I stayed here for a visit to Universal Studios. The park entrance is about 15 minutes away by foot. You can catch a Universal shuttle at the bottom of the hill to bring you to the entrance. This is also a quicker way to get there. Overall it was a great experience.

The home was beautiful, Julia was super responsive and helpful, location was very centralized and easy to find. Only downside was it has a lot of steps. If you have hip, knee, or stability problems is probably not where you should stay. If you want a great view, and the feeling of home, it's a must.

I know it shows a FEW stairs in the pictures but it does not represent the true amount. This house has only one way in and out and it requires a suuuper steep hill with a TON of stairs. I would not have rented this property knowing I would have to haul up and down as much. My mom has had hip replacements and I was stuck carrying everything up and down the hill. There were no guard rails to hold onto and if you fall you WILL get hurt. The owner was nice and helped me carry cooler and luggage when we were leaving but if you are not a group that is willing to carry ALL your own gear and you are in good shape I would not recommend this property. This would not be good for anyone with small children or anyone that has trouble hiking.

Nice facilities and very welcoming. Excellent location right across the street from Universal. Parking can be a little dicey. Wish we were staying longer though!
