The long, sweeping beaches surrounding Sandy Point have breathtaking mountain views of Wilsons Promontory National Park. The beaches are perfect for surfing, boogie boarding and swimming. There is a patrolled section of the beach in summer. The house is a pet and family friendly beach house, perfectly located at the end of a quiet court. Wattle Haven is connected to the NBN with unlimited data and it’s a 5-minute walk to the beautiful foreshore, Ned Neale's Lookout and a year-round off-lead beach area for dogs. Only a 10-minute drive away, nestled between Waratah Bay and the majestic peaks of Wilsons Promontory, the sheltered waters of Shallow Inlet provide a peaceful setting for a range of water-based activities such as fishing, boating, kayaking, windsurfing and standup paddleboarding. Wattle Haven’s newly renovated kitchen opens onto a large open plan dining and living area, with a cosy woodfire and split system air conditioning system, making it a great getaway location all-year-round. The bathroom has a bath, basin and shower, a separate toilet off the laundry. The Neighborhood: Picturesque Sandy Point beach is a pleasant 5-minute walk away near the general store. Shallow Inlet, famous for wind surfing and fishing is a short 5-minute drive. Other Sandy Point recreation facilities suitable for children and families include the mini golf on the foreshore, the Surf Lifesaving Club, Children's Playgrounds, Tennis courts and a half basketball court. Numerous recreation and relaxation facilities are within reach such as golf courses, bush walks, fine restaurants and of course the South Gippsland's popular wineries and art galleries. Accessible to both Wilson's Promontory and South Gippsland the location makes it an easy drive to the popular Squeaky Beach, Waratah Bay, Inverloch and Port Franklin. Other Things to Note: Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control. Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
