I love the hotel. But two downsides..... the $45/ night for parking & the toilet had to be flushed 2 or 3 times for every thing to go down. The rooms are nice and the location is great.

Such a great hotel I felt compelled to leave a review! Really clean and trendy hotel with excellent customer service to boot. Highly recommend if staying downtown. Great amenities, the gym is super new and nice, the steam room, hot tub, sauna combo is lit. Helped us sort out parking for tour bus.. Love this hotel.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I booked this for my wife for mother's day along with a spa package. Her check-in should have been at 4. Instead, her room wasn't ready until after 7. The staff was very rude, and not willing to even apologize. Instead, they simply repeated, "Sorry, the group in your room hasn't checked out yet." They didn't offer anything complimentary while she waited, nor did they offer to discount anything towards her spa package or dinner. They didn't even offer to hold on to her suitcase, which she had to keep with her as she waited in the lobby for her spa package to begin. If i could give 0 stars, I would! What should have been a nice relaxing evening to celebrate Mother's Day, turned into a very stressful experience for her. I cannot stress enough how much I would avoid this hotel!

Our stay was great, the room was nice, clean and comfy. We wanted to have breakfast the next morning before check out, the restaurant would only take reservations first and walk ins on a 1hr 20min wait. Sat at the bar, the wait was long to get our food, requested an hour longer on checkout and was denied.

Everything was great. My only complaint is no icemaker.

Horton at the check-in was very nice and helpful on the 19th as was the wait staff in the restaurant on the 20th and the maid service who helped me find a more comfortable pillow that day. The artwork is interesting. I had been sent an email from the hotle saying that a special experience of a bourbon tasting. I asked upon check-in about this and was told that they were out of the cards but that all I needed to do was to ask about this at the bar and the samples would be provided. So that evening I did so. The bartender told me that t was no longer available. He was very rude to me. I told him that it had been confirmed upon my checking in and asked to speak to his manager. The manager was even worse saying that it was no longer available and asking me who had told me about it. He headed off to chastise the front desk clerk. About 15 minutes later when we were so embarrassed about waiting so long and were ready to leave, he returned with four little cards for the bourbon samples. He apologized but in a rather curt fashion. I cannot imagine that such a lovely hotel would have such a head bartender with such poor people skills. Other than that pretty awful experience, our stay was fine. The Eggs Benedict for breakfast by the way were excellent. I hope to return but will avoid the bar in the evening.

We loved the art gallery

Such a special property. The food at the restaurant was incredible and the staff so friendly. The art in the hotel was really well curated and the gallery space on the 2nd floor was an absolute must see. The room was nice and well appointed. My only call out was that the pillows were quite firm. Staying at another one of their properties next week and very much looking forward to it.

Very nice stay in downtown St Louis. Will be back next year.

The art is amazing and why I stayed. The room was clean, modern and very accommodating in some ways. The television didn’t work much of the time. When I called the front desk, they weren’t helpful and the connection was bad. That’s when I noticed a curtain was missing. The window looked directly across to someone’s apartment kitchen. Had I been staying more than one night I would’ve complained. Btw, it’s room 809 - by the elevator…

The fitness center and pool attached to the hotel made my stay perfect. The hotel rests was great too.

Great experience, had some issues with the key cards not working but staff was very accommodating and helpful in replacing them. (Software issue not their fault!)

21c never disappoints and St Louis is a gorgeous property. This was my second stay in a week and I will be certain to return upon my next work visit.

the hotel was very nice overall and offered a lot for the price. we stayed in the bunk bed room for my children’s experience. the bottom bunk was not as comfortable as i’d wished for but overall we enjoyed ourselves and plan to come again.

Check in time was at 4p and we ended up not being able to check in until 9p. I was given a slightly later time that the room would be available multiple times and no changes were made to even slow a late check out given the circumstance.

The stay was great. Front desk staff amazing, barista was amazing. Dining restaurant was not for us, very high $ and nothing a child/teen would want plus the waitress i encountered was very putout when i asked for an ice tea, so putout that the bartender got it for me
The hotel has no free parking, its valet, or feed meters.
Pool & hot tub amazing
The cleaning & working crews we spoke with were super friendly

Really cool hotel and fun concept with the art and eclectic subtleties mixed in. Great location..definitely walkable to most downtown spots. Hotel staff was nice but not really interested in being helpful . Cafe staff really awkward and acted relatively annoyed in general. Definitely an uncomfortable vibe there..very unfortunate.

Overall fret stay, however front desk and housekeeping need to coordinate better

The phone didn’t work in my room, the ice machine was in a housekeeping closet which the door was locked. Before check I called several times w no answer each time. There was no microwave in any rooms

Visit was nice. Only complaint was no way to reheat food from dinner earlier in the day. Not a single microwave in the hotel.

I loved how modern this stay was, the gym the sauna the pool were are beautiful new. The ambiance was a little much for me no parking the entrance was almost missed. But its a beautiful once you get past the loud entrance there was just a lot going on.

The hotel is beautiful! The front desk was accommodating when I asked to switch to a room with full length windows (they were kind enough to move me from my 3rd floor room to the top level 10th floor!). There are two workout rooms, one with free weights and one with machines. I wasn't able to try the sauna, steam room, moon/rain shower or pool because I forgot a bathing suit, but next time I definitely will! I got breakfast or coffee everyday at the Good press, right off the lobby. I will stay here every time I visit STL!!

The Hotel is really lovely--open, modern, clean, and the art gallery was so cool! I loved the old pool from the original YMCA.
The worst parts were the light in the closet that you couldn't turn off but shined out like a homing beacon, and the music coming from the patio on the 1st floor. We were on the 5th floor and it was on ALL NIGHT our first night. They claimed they turn the music off at 1am, but it was still going strong at 5am.
I'd love to see more photos of the old YMCA as it was before it became this hotel!

Stayed one night, valet made check-in/out a breeze. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool, sauna, and gym were amazing! Absolutely recommend for young kids. The gallery floor was pretty cool, too. Seems to be a good spot for a couples stay, as bar/restaurant seemed popular. Will stay again!

Fun place to stay, great coffee shop, nice restaurant, clean, great experience!

This is definitely a posh hotel and I would be happy to stay there again. The staff was 50/50 on friendliness and service. Some aspects seemed overrated and also overpriced. The room was nice, but it was tight quarters for a night. I enjoyed walking through the gallery and the restaurant was nice—not necessarily worth the price point, though. Overall, it was a good place to stay. I'm just not convinced I'd recommend it over another hotel in downtown St. Louis.

This place is unbelievable from the artwork to the staff to the amenities. It’s one of the coolest gems in St. Louis. We had a fantastic night !

When we first got to the hotel, we immediately noticed that the area in front of the hotel was really icy. The lack of attention by the staff was dangerous. They didn't even have salt down. Also, we could not find any one or anything (like a cart) to help bring in our luggage. No one even asked if we needed help with the luggage. When we went to order dinner (cheeseburger and fries) we were told they do not carry lettuce, tomato, or onion. How does a 4 star hotel not have these? This is not a four star hotel, and definitely not worth the price. We will not be staying here again. They are really understaffed, this they admitted. Maybe hire some workers? I do not recommend this hotel, you can get much better, bigger rooms for less money

We arrived at 21c during a snow storm and they allowed us to check in early. The valet and front desk staff were so nice, prompt and accommodating. The hotel was very clean but we absolutely loved the style and decor. Our room had the best view of the the city with The Arch in the background. The cafe was perfect for a quick bite. The only complaint was the morning of checkout (checkout time is 11:00) the cleaning staff began knocking on our door at 8:30 wanting to clean our room. We left at 10:30, but they came to our door 3 times in two hours despite me telling them the first time they knocked to come back at 11:00. I know they have a job to do but I came there to forget mine for the weekend, paid good money to be there and did not want to feel rushed to leave. Despite that, 21c will be my city stay from here on out.
