This brand newly renovated condo is located on the PORT SIDE second floor in a prime spot. (Unit 201) Easy access to all of Maine's best beach amenities. It has two bright, airy bedrooms with a queen bed in each and two full bathrooms. Open concept living room, and central a/c via wall mounted mini-splits. AAAAHHH! So nice after a hot day on the beach. A fully stocked kitchen for the chef in the group -- pots, pans -- everything you need to prepare tasty meals for everyone. But why cook when all of Old Orchard's restaurant options are just out your door? LOCATION If there’s one reason people come to Old Orchard Beach year after year, it’s because this town really knows how to play. For more than 170 years, this community of about 9,000 year-round residents has thrown open its doors and invited folks to join in the fun. And boy, have they responded. During the warmer months, Old Orchard Beach’s population swells to upwards of 75,000. Many come all the way from Eastern Ontario and Quebec, often year after year. Things to Do in Old Orchard Beach Why? First, there’s that beach, all seven miles of it. When the tide is out and the sun is shining, the sand goes on forever. People nestle in for a nap, play football, toss a frisbee, venture into the surf. There seems to be room for everyone. Then, there’s the Old Orchard Beach Pier. First built in 1898, the Pier once marched more than 1,800 feet out into the bay. It hosted restaurants, shops and even a casino where Frank Sinatra once crooned. Storms eventually broke down the old Pier; the newer one is slightly shorter. But it, too, includes places to eat, drink and shop, all of them above the waves. Back on shore, check out Palace Playland, the Old Orchard Beach amusement park. Here, you can scare yourself on the big-kid rides, play for tickets on the arcade games or watch the waves below as you sit atop the Ferris wheel. More than anything, OOB is a local’s town. Stroll the Old Orchard Beach boardwalk, enjoy small, local shops and stop by Old Orchard Beach restaurants, local bars and local hotels and motels. Pick up a sandwich, shop for a t-shirt, sip a beer or grab some cotton candy. People have been strolling these same streets and enjoying these places for generations. Ready for some quiet time? Visit Ocean Park. This woodsy, summer retreat was founded in 1881 in a section of OOB as a place for religious camp meetings and self-improvement lectures. It’s still owned by an association and hosts ‘The Temple,’ the only octagonal church in Maine. Restaurants in Old Orchard Beach Old Orchard Beach restaurants range from small places serving great pizza by the slice to sit-down spots with terrific views of the sea. THE NEIGHBORHOOD- Did we mention the beach? It's right there. But it's also the best neighborhood for pubs, restaurants, live music, ice cream, Palace Playland, all of Old Orchard's amenities and attractions are an easy walk. The property was updated and very clean. The pillows were not very good, but the bed was great! The location was not where we anticipated. It was very easy checking in and out.

Process of booking to checkout was too rigid in communications. Everything only through text. Too impersonal in my opinion. What if we had delayed flights past office hours? What if my cellphone had lost power or my charger was in my lost bags? There was an emergency number provided. No paper instructions for the house were provided. Would this be too much to ask? Again, these were provided only by text. Upon checkin the HVAC setup was confusing, but there no one to talk with. This did work out, but not without a string of texts a mile long. A short phone call would have settled the issue sooner for both parties. The checkin was computer controlled and too rigid, so we had to wait in a rain storm, and gained entry not a minute before. Outrageously, we were offered an additional hour before check out for $150 fee.????? We checked out an hour and a half early. The sheets on the beds were a blend of rayon/polyester, which were hot and uncomfortable. Sheets ought to be mostly cotton. The unit was clean and modern, but too sparsely furnished. No chairs in the living room or bedrooms, though there was a couch and a love seat in the living area. This property sits next to a burned out building on one side and on the other side a house appears to be boarded up and abandoned. This detracts from the lodging experience. A live conversation with the property manager could have allowed this review to be more positive. Finally, the stay was just ok. YRBO customer 10+yrs.

Wonderful condo, close to beach and wonderful restaurants

This parcel is a six-unit building that has been recently renovated. My two-bed, two-bath condo had utilitarian furniture and builder-grade fixtures. It was fine for a long weekend in Old Orchard with my dog -- and the main reason I chose this property is because they are dog friendly. Some minor maintenance will fix most of my complaints: many of the blinds are broken, including the blinds in both bedrooms. This building is on a busy street, and proper blinds are necessary. Relatedly, many of the door knobs do not function properly. The knob to the porch/deck did not lock and was loose. The doors to the primary bedroom and bathroom would shut, but the knob mechanisms were not fully secure because the doors could simply be pushed open, even when locked. The above are minor gripes and did not detract from my stay. I appreciated that property provided bar soap, dish soap, shampoo, dish washer detergent, and laundry detergent. The appliances are like-new, and the Roku TV provided all the entertainment I needed in the evenings.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was close to the beach. Everything was clean and perfect for our stay. The reservation process was easy and professional.

This place became base camp for two sets of grandparents and my son’s family. We met there for breakfast every day, our granddaughter napped there and it was our gathering place while we explored the beach and surrounding area. We left 2 dogs alone for a few hours while we went out, and they apparently barked and disturbed our neighbors. The management was very nice and understanding. We apologized and didn’t leave the dogs alone again. There was plenty of room. The place was comfortable for two couples. We’d stay there again, without the dogs!
