About this cottage rental
Our LakeHouz is 4 Season & accommodates up to 6 people w/ 2 bedrooms including a spacious loft with king bed , electric fireplace, workspace, smart TV, mini fridge & private Ensuite with Jacuzzi Tub & stand up shower… a perfect little retreat with great lots of windows and gorgeous views Sunrises on the lake. The main floor bedroom has a comfy Queen bed & quality linens, lots of drawer space & walk-in closet. Our spacious family room includes a wood burning stove for those chilly fall / winter days and evenings, a Queen size Murphy Bed, smart TV , a large family friendly coffee table perfect for the family to sit around for hours playing games or just hanging out. We offer plenty of books, magazine, puzzles and games… something for everyone, including children’s books & crossword puzzles. Our kitchen is fully equipped with spice rack, mixing bowls, air fryer, hand mixer, rice cooker & more! The dining table seats 6 + 3 bar stools for gathering around the island with family & friends. We also have a fun high top bar/ table for a cup of morning Joe overlooking beautiful lake views, Watching ducks and fishing boats on the lake, this table also doubles as a workspace fitted w/ a power bar & USB charging. Our living spaces are all designed with family and friends gathering in mind. Each area is spacious enough for everyone to hang out, including our fun sunny Screened in porch perfectly fitted with a bar fridge for extra drinks, a comfy conversational set, patio table for meals over looking beautiful sunsets, coat & boot rack, and more games & magazines living rooms. Our outdoor spaces include a propane BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining for 6, and more. Our LakeHouz has been coined a birders paradise with the most beautiful views of sunrises & sunsets… It doesn’t hurt that we’re Neighbours with local Birding guide and expert “Pelee Birding”. This isn’t just a cottage. It’s truly a home away from home and offers all the comforts you’d want & more. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do and as much our guests have since August 2022 … making memories for years to come

We stayed a couple of nights in early February and the heaters, including the wood stove, created a lovely cozy vibe. The place has lots of areas to sit and lounge. A nice backyard with view over Lake Eerie. The lake can also be enjoyed from the upstairs. The area is really nice and quiet. We enjoyed going to the Conservation Area and Point Pelee National Park (the Southern tip of Canada).

Our 3 night stay was amazing! It was a beautiful cottage with lots of room and all the extra little touches to make it a very comfortable stay. The wood stove made for a very cozy atmosphere and the kitchen was large with all the best appliances. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is the place! It's on our list to go agani!

We loved being able to look out over the water! It was a restful, quiet place, but not too far from Leamington. There were lots of small touches that made it a lovely stay—thanks!

What a wonderful accommodation! It had everything we needed and more! Very homey and so comfortable, awesome view, close to the National Park, trails, beaches, wineries. The weather wasn’t the greatest for us but we totally enjoyed ourselves because the house was open, roomy, space for puzzles, games and meals and just plain relaxation!! The photos are accurate, the home was clean and well cared for, Helene was a great host (she has thought of everything) from the time we booked months ago until we left. Definitely would recommend and would definitely stay again!! Janet

We wanted a couple of days away to go to a winery and relax by the water. This location was amazing for both.
Relaxing, fully equipped, great location, waterfront and close to all amenities.
Loved it and highly recommend it.

The Lake Houz has an amazing view, is very clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. It is in a quiet area and just a short drive to Point Pelee National Park. We enjoyed our stay, thank you so much!

We had a great time at Helene and Al's lake house. It truly was our home away from home this week (August 12-19th 2023). Our son loved having s'mores by the firepit and playing in the yard ❤️

The place was well equipped for just about everything.
We would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't have children, no water access but, other wise all great!

Helene & Al's place was wonderful. The listing was as described and to be honest it was even nicer than we expected. The house is well stocked for a family, couples or friends stay. Quiet area and the deck overlooking the lake was lovely. The sound of the waves lapping on the breakwater was the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you're planning on staying in the Leamington/Kingsville area, this is the perfect place. ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lake Houz. Everything was very clean. It was relaxing to sit by the water and in the Sun room. There is even a great record collection. Would definitely want to return.

Loved Helene & Al's Lake Houz. It was one of the most well-stocked within the kitchen and the bathrooms as well! Enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the upper floor bathroom.
The views are absolutely amazing. It is peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway with a small group. We also brought our dog and she had fun with the small box of toys available.
Helene & Al were excellent communicators - with detailed instructions and answered questions promptly.
Overall just a beautiful stay in Leamington - close to Point Pelee Park, and the town to stock up on anything else you need (although we barely needed to go anywhere else because it was such a cozy stay)

We had an amazing stay at Helene and Al's Lake Houz.
The loft area with attached spa like ensuite is a dream. The kitchen had everything and anything you could need to prepare meals and the large dining table made it easy to enjoy them. The outside areas are set up perfectly to enjoy the OMG lake views or to relax by the fire and roast some marshmallows. The sunroom was perfect to sip morning coffee while reading or doing a puzzle.
Helene and Al have thought about it all. All the amenities you could need in a home away from home.
The location is perfect, a short drive to Pelee Point National Park or the town of Leamigton, yet just far enough away to be away from the hustle.
Make sure to go for a sundown walk to enjoy the fireflies, so magical!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom lakefront VRBO, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the pristine cleanliness and the incredible level of comfort provided by this marvelous retreat. It's safe to say that we will definitely be renting this property again in the future.
The first thing that struck us was the impeccable cleanliness of the entire home. It was evident that the homeowners took great pride in maintaining a spotless environment for their guests. Every corner, every surface, and every room was flawlessly clean, and we immediately felt at ease knowing that hygiene was a top priority.
The level of comfort offered at this lakefront getaway was truly exceptional. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and featured luxurious bedding that enveloped us in a cocoon of relaxation each night. The bathrooms were equally impressive, with modern fixtures and an abundance of fresh, fluffy towels. The living area boasted cozy furniture that invited us to unwind, and the fully equipped kitchen provided us with everything we needed to prepare delicious meals during our stay.

Helene and Al’s cottage is lovely and very clean. It was the perfect place for a quiet getaway for my husband and I. I enjoyed the view and cozy loft. It’s on a nice quiet road for a sunset walk with the fireflies. We enjoyed biking at the Point Pelee Park and delicious tacos in Leamington. We will hopefully enjoy this lovely place again 😊 Thank you!

Excellent accommodations and the neighbourhood was teaming with birds… so if you are birding at Pelee this is a great place to start.

Beautiful, well maintained property with a very well equipped kitchen. The views from the cottage overlooking the lake were amazing and it is ideally located near Point Pelee NP and Hillman Marsh. Enjoyed our stay very much!
