A night at the museum
We were warmly welcomed with a short guided tour and an introduction to the history of the house before heading to our room. It was strange at first to imagine staying in a museum for the night, you feel the need to be extra careful and respectful but the experience was unique though it's not everyone's taste. The setting is very pleasant, calm and green, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was excellent with a lovely view and homemade waffles. From the house you can reach the fjord by foot. As it is not easy to find a restaurant nearby (especially if you don't have a car), we had planned ahead an organized a little picnic in front of the fjord. I would recommend the experience but rather for a shorter stay.
It's a museum but it's also an old building. The room we stayed in had a slight smell and traces of damp on the wall. As it was summer, we were able to sleep with the window open without being disturbed by the noise. There are no keys so you can't lock the room. Bathrooms are shared but even with all the rooms booked it was not crowded.

It is a privilege to stay here
We arrived before the check-in time, only with the intention of taking a walk in the surroundings, but they accommodated us immediately. The house is an historical building that is preserved as a museum full of details (read its history, it is very interesting: https://singerheimen.com/) and it is a privilege and a responsibility to be there. Despite being a building from the beginning of the 20th century, it is really clean and has all the comforts you need. We were even more fortunate to stay on the top floor, in the room that had been prepared for a visit from the queen. The views, incredible, the beds, very comfortable, plenty of space to store our luggage. The sun came in through the window while I was reading in a rocking chair... ufff... marvellous!!! In addition, breakfast is served in 2 bright rooms with large windows. It is at the entrance of a very beautiful valley, but also close to 2 other valleys that are worth visiting. And the best for last: the hosts (Kristin, Harald and their parents) are wonderful. We had a serious problem and we have no words to thank you for your help, your warmth and your lovely way to manage it. Hope we can come back one day!
Absolutely nothing.

Beautiful house and very kind hosts
Wow! It was an honour to be able to stay in such an amazing place. The hosts were so friendly, helpful and kind and told us lots about the history of the house and the Singers. The tour of the house (including downstairs) was a delight and very interesting - it really is a living museum. The house has beautiful views from each window and the ambience inside is warm and cosy, especially with the candles. Our bedroom was stunning with some of Singer's paintings hanging on the wall. It was very special. Breakfast was a delight with delicious, freshly made waffles and bread.
Sharing a bathroom but I understand why given the historical nature of the house. There were not many bathrooms and might have been an issue if there had been more guests but as there were not, it was not a problem at all.

My stay here was extraordinarily unique.
Everything! The room was amazing! Loved every detail. The breakfast was great. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. They also have us a tour of the museum. I felt at home. Would definitely go back again. They also checked in on us after we left the property to see if we were safe from the storm. It was a very caring gesture. Will always remember that.

Lovely decorated museum and bed and breakfast with very hospitable owners.
Lovely Singer Airbnb but also a beautiful museum. It used to be the house of American painter William Singer and his wife Anna. So all the rooms feel like last century. Your host is willing to show you around and tell you lots of stories. If you are interested in hiking to the glaciers they can also give you good information.
The breakfast was sufficient bit simple.
