However, it has much more to offer than beautiful beaches. There is a medieval castle and the main piazza is dominated by the Basilica of San Nicolo’ di Bari. The old town has charming medieval lanes, which are lovely to explore in the late afternoon. The town also has a marina and shipyard where you can rent a boat to explore the coast and hidden beaches. For self-catering the weekly market (Saturday) is a treasure trove of local produce, which you can then enjoy back home. Otherwise, there are many smaller shops and supermarkets within easy reach. The closest airport is Genoa Airport, a 1 hour and 20-minute drive from the apartment.
