Relax with the whole family! You’ll find yourself entering into a traditional, cozy atmosphere, away from the city. Featuring 2 bdrms, 2 bthrms, our 2nd floor loft-style condo is located abt halfway up the Wintergreen Mountain. You are a quick three-hour drive from Washington DC and abt 45 minutes from Charlottesville. You will be a short two-minute walk to the main ski slope at Wintergreen. Additionally, walk to the local market, several restaurants, and a variety of shops on the mountain. As you enter through the front door, you will find a set of wooden stairs leading up to the loft on your left. As you continue straight ahead you will pass a full bath on your left, and a master bedroom with a king size bed on your right. Firm, yet comfortable, on the softest of sheets. You will also find a dresser and full size closest with plenty of space for your accessories. You will then enter into a warm and welcoming living area, with a plush leather couch, a fireplace and a high-top kitchen table, great for eating, as well as playing games. To your left, our tiny but full kitchen, complete with a coffee maker, a toaster, microwave, four burner stove top and oven, and full-size refrigerator. In the closet behind the kitchen sink you will find a full-size washer and dryer for your use. Veg out on the couch and watch a movie on the Roku TV where you can log into several apps with your credentials. On warmer days, enjoy the afternoon sun and nature while having a glass of wine on the deck outside. Too cold outside? Enjoy curling up next to the fire with wood provided for your use outside the front of the condo building. Heading upstairs to the loft, you will find two twin size beds and another full bathroom for ease and convenience of use. In the small closet at the top of the stairs, there is a selection of board games for your amusement in between ski runs. We'd love to host you in our condo! Send us a message with any questions you may have! Offering free parking in a gated condo area, you won’t be fighting the daily skiers who come to the area. You will have the luxury of coming and going at your pleasure with a secure combo lock to the door and a combo to the gated parking area in the front of the condo. Take advantage of the free Wi-fi on sight in the condo. During the summer, you will have access to the Chestnut Springs Pool on the mountain and the Rodes Farm Pool down in the valley. The condo is centrally located to an area very rich in history, hiking, and beverages, as well as many other fun things to do and see. To name a few: • Check out the Nelson County 151 Beer Trail – filled with restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and live music (20 min away) • Catch a round of golf at the Stoney Creek golf course down in the Valley • Head over to Rt. 151 and up into Charlottesville for a day of shopping or depending on the season, catch a UVA basketball or football game. Explore Thomas Jefferson’s homeplace, Monticello, about 5 miles outside of Charlottesville • Make a day trip out of the area’s many wineries and breweries • Head down to Sherando and Staunton and read some of history from the Civil War and the Frontier Culture Museum • Depart from historic Staunton for a trip on the Virginia Scenic Railway through the Shenandoah Valley • Wintergreen Mountain Resort offers over 30 miles of easy to advanced hiking trails, showing off its beauty of wildflowers and waterfalls. Other surrounding areas such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and Afton Mountain also offer a variety of trails. The Blue Ridge Tunnel goes under Afton Mountain. Located off State Route 56 you can hike to Crabtree Falls, one of the tallest sets of waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. • Catch a program at the Nature Foundation at Wintergreen • Catch the sunrise and sunsets hopping from overlook to overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway Tons of local stuff to do!
