Overall, a nice stay. Great location, nice porch and cute house. Was a little tight for 8 adults. The bunk beds were only rated for 150lbs, so we didnt feel comfortable using them. The queen bed in the loft was a broken air matress and not the most comfortable, but fine.
Was nice to be so close to the park, with the water view. Would stay again, but with fewer than 8 adults.

We really liked the house and its many features. It was so unique! The location was great. The whole family enjoyed the basketball court across the street and the park. They were a big hit! The only problem was the porch roof. We were there when there was a tornado warning and it really rained like crazy. We wanted to sot out on the porch but the roof leaked everywhere! I tried to dry the cushions but they were drenched. We barely sat on or used the porch. Otherwise we had a good time.
Thank you for allowing us to use it.

This was our second stay at this house. We love it so much. So comfortable for our party of 12, so convenient to local attractions. Fishing and swimming without getting in the car!

Great house to stay in. Close to the private beach. Park for the kids. Great views of the lake. Friendly neighborhood. Highly recommend.

My family was getting together from various states. The house was very comfortable for our group and being close to the lake was amazing.

It was very relaxing. The house was nice except the front porch leaking when it rained and you couldn't sit outside plus the patio leaked and couldn't grill out if it was raining.
there was plenty of room for the living space. Would go back again. Very close to a lot of things to do.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of kitchen stuff, towels, blankets, and beach toys.
The park here has seen better days, but the kids still liked it.
The beach right here is pretty underwhelming and we didn't even bother taking the kids here. We tried Lake Front beach in town and it was fine. Nickel Plate beach was fantastic though - definitely go there if you're wanting a beach day.
Really quick drive to Cedar Point.

Quiet, safe neighborhood. Park/fishing/sand/swimming right across the street. Excellent location if you want to sit and relax while children play. Also about 15 minutes from Cedar point, Great Wolf Lodge, many restaurants....House had a lot of room for our family of 9, lots of places for individuals to spread out and chill.
Hope to return next year.

We love the house, it has perfect view, it was cozy and enough to keep the 18 year kids occupied! I would only suggest figuring out how to keep the porch from leaking if it rains. We love a good rain and would have loved to sit on porch to watch it , but it was leaking everywhere. Even with that I would stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home

We had an amazing time at the Shores House! It was well stocked with all you could need! It was spacious and comfortable for my family of 12! We were going to Cedar Point it was only 10 minutes from the cottage! We loved the grassy area in front of the house and played wiffle ball there each day of our stay! The lake view is amazing especially at sunrise! Kristi was quick to help with any questions we had. The only downside we had was the small fungus gnats that happened to be swarming during our visits so be mindful that they swarm certain times of the year.

We had THE BEST time on this trip! There were 12 of us, 4 single parents with 8 kids combined. From the porch we could watch the kids do whatever they wanted to do. Basketball, frisbee, park, fishing. There were plenty of bikes and we brought some scooters, they were never bored. The house was spacious, we never felt crowded. We were also close to lots of cool stuff, the Jackson street pier, go carts, and Kalahari. We can’t wait to do this again and would highly recommend!

This is a wonderful home for a family getaway. Each morning provides a beautiful lake vista. Only minutes away from Cedar Point for the big kids and local attractions and restaurants (like LEMmys with the best walleye ever) for the rest. Great layout for family time. And the front porch fire pit was a great place to enjoy s’mores! Yum.
We appreciate the quick responses from the owners every time we had a question. Thanks for the hospitality!

The house was nice, but not as depicted in the pictures at all. And the neighborhood is awful. Especially to drive through. The houses are super close and there is a park in front between the house and the water. Not as depicted at all. That's was disappointing. Otherwise it was nice.

Last weekend we drove to Northern Ohio to celebrate my husband’s aunts 90th birthday. There was a big party on Saturday in Amherst and he and his two siblings along with all of us in-laws rented Kristi’s fun home. There was plenty of room for us all in the variety of sleeping options. We spent the weekend outside of the birthday celebration visiting and watching ball games and touring around the area. The house is in close proximity to so many special places on the water. I believe the part that we love the most was sitting on the front porch with the party lights on along with the fire table visiting and laughing and telling stories. We bundled up in sweatshirts and blankets and it was so much fun. Kristi was great responding to any questions that we had along the way. Thank you for facilitating an Awesome Family Visit.

Spacious home with two living areas provided plenty of room for two families to spread out. The 4th bedroom newly added was my favorite for it's comfortable bed. The masters queen size adjustable didn't suit me with my back issues. Nonetheless I would definitely stay here again. The rye Beach area was peaceful with the lake a short walk away, yet viewable from the upper porch. Nights on the front ground floor porch were a great place for the whole family to gather and the dining room seated the 7 of us easily.

We stayed here with parents with physical issues, and children and the house was set up great for both. FIrst floor bedroom was very helpful, lots of things for kids to do.
We had a couple of issues, which were resolved very quickly. We really enjoyed the view of the lake from the decks.

Very good communication - everything was just as what was relayed to us.

This was our second year staying at this house. It's a perfect location for a view of the lake, especially from the rooftop balcony. The inside is comfortable with two sitting areas and a large dining table. A negative to our stay was the neighborhood kids constantly in the park using foul language and fighting.

We really enjoyed our week at Rye Beach Huron
The weather was great the location and the park area were perfect. We enjoyed the private beach cove. The house was ok there was insufficient parking for our boat and 3 vehicles. We ran out of trash bags, toilet paper and there were no tissues anywhere. The master sleep number bed had a slow leak and 2 of the main bedrooms have zero privacy. I would recommend room darkening shades and more hooks in the bedrooms and bathrooms to hang clothes and towels on. Too many throw pillows and decor. Felt a bit cluttered. Floor was not very clean and lots of food junk under the couch cushions. Overall it was comfortable the AC works great and no major issues with anything.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beach house! We had three generations and there was something for everyone! The beach is small, but the kids really liked it. There are larger beaches nearby. There are many other attractions nearby, including Cedar Point. The adults loved the front porch, where we spent a lot of time. The house is just a described, with so many extras. We would love to come again!

This was our 5th year renting this property for our family vacation. Our ages range from 6-77. It is a relaxing neighborhood and the house has plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have their own space, yet enough seating for us to all have meals together and watch movies together. The additional of a new first floor bedroom was great for my MIL who can no longer do stairs. The new living room in the back was relaxing and my kids loved learned how to play darts. The small beach area was also redone this year was cleaned up and much nicer than in years past.

This is a lovely house facing the lake with access to a private beach area. Well stocked with puzzels, games beach equipment etc. Close to both Cedar Point (10 min) and Kalahari (7min).

With the exception of the check-in process, our stay was wonderful. The park, beach, and bikes were so much fun. It was easy to keep the kids entertained. The front pork was nice! We had a great time making memories with our family!

This is our second visit to this property. We love the location. It has a great front porch with a view of the lake and the park. Our grandkids were free to roam and we could relax on the porch. The house was very comfortable and well stocked to cook meals. We also enjoyed the close location to Cedar Point. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This home was very comfortable! I had rented 2 properties in the area for my husband's 60th birthday celebration. Most of the celebration was at the larger house in the area, but his house was a perfect place for our out of town guests to stay. We enjoyed sitting on the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the park and the water while watching our family have a basketball match right across the street! The views were amazing! Also, the beds were very comfortable, and the house was immaculate. There was a closet filled with basketballs and games, and everything we could possibly need to keep our family busy. Would highly recommend this house.

House was very cute and cozy. View of lake from decks and house was beautiful! House was equipped with everything you could possibly need. I would stay here again and definitely recommend. Loved the short distance to cedar point and kalahari. Fun family weekend!!!!!

Overall a positive experience. The master bed was a huge disappointment. It was an inflatable mattress that leaked on one side. They were aware of it and placed a note on the bed with instructions to reinflate as necessary. It should be replaced to make it usable. Not sure how long it has been malfunctioning, but asking the guest to deal with it is unfair since they know about it

Beautiful home on the water front of lake Erie, multi level with plenty of space for all (there were 12 of us) we did have to utilize the 2 futons on balcony of master suite and that worked fine! It was a formal affair and getting ready for the event worked just fine. Kitchen nicely arranged and well equipped. Game room was awesome for the grandchildren. Bicycles, were well maintained ready to go. Little touches throughout were pleasant surprises, coffee bar additives, soap and shampoo/ conditioner in all baths, along with complete bar accessories! We had great time, it worked perfect for us, and will stay again on future trips! Thanks
