It was close to Willis. The communication was great which made it easy to navigate. Room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is to put a chair of some kind in there. The only place to sit was on the bed and I am not very fond of eating food on the bed. Other than that, great stay

Great apartment in a great location. Only complaint was the bed which was quite small for two people and not comfortable. I ended up with a sore back

It is next to Union Station. Downtown attractions are across the bridge. We loved the industrial decor. The wall is thin. You can hear people talking. It doesn’t bother us too much. Love Sonder!

Loved the location, the modern interior, the big windows!

Very easy to check in. Was a beautiful place.

We could hear everything our neighbors were saying, through the floor, maybe? They were not loud at all, but there was no sound privacy. Also, the bathroom fan didn’t work and a small piece of concrete or grout or gravel fell from the ceiling on the bed when we were watching tv. It was small but pretty unnerving.

Good and clean. Toliet clogged up but was swiftly taken care of. The water pressure in the shower was low and the water didn't get very hot. The oven was smokey and only used once due to fear of smoke alarm beeping loudly. Adding extra blankets would have been a great touch for TV couch watching. If someone is no used to loft living ( water flowing thru pipes, someone always going to bathroom, loud neighbor conversations) then the place for you. I had an enjoyable stay, comfortable, convenient to the city, clean,

We liked the location - next to Union Station. I had not stayed near here before and was worried about feeling safe - but it was actually great and easy to find safe parking at Union Station. We walked to Greektown and H-Mart and the river at night and mid-day and were very comfortable. Elevator broke mid-stay so lost a star there (we like stairs so it was okay but if I had had a big bag to carry I would have been in trouble!). Great unit - my only complaint is that I really did not like the lighting in this unit - it felt very harsh and fluorescent but maybe I have extreme taste? It would have benefited from another floor lamp or 2 in the living area.

Love the location, room is clean and nicely decorated. Bed is very comfortable. Unfortunately though the walls are PAPER THIN. When I arrived the first night, I could hear a baby crying clear as a bell through the walls and the mother speaking to the baby also very clearly. Two of my colleagues stayed on property as well, and reported the same. Noise carries a lot through the walls and you can hear everything the neighbors are doing. Their neighbors would playing loud music in the middle of the night. This should be addressed and improved because otherwise the property is good.

The facility is nice, but the room we were assigned was right beside an alleyway. During the night exhaust fans from the building in proximity to the large window of our unit emitted a high pitched noise that made it difficult to sleep.
Although the instructions said there is no smoking in the building, at least 3 out of 5 days we were there, smoke could be detected in the hallway right within our front door.
There is no coat rack or anywhere to hang coats or other clothing especially on cold and rainy days.
The fridge was new and had an ice maker, but it did not work when turned on.

Staying at the Sonder Burnham Chicago was a new, and good experience. New because I have never booked accommodations where there wasn't a front desk or any people I would see in the property day-to-day like one would cross paths with at a conventional hotel. This made for a very private-feeling experience, without any ruckus or random noise outside my room. The room was a mini apartment with a full size fridge that came in very handy, a full kitchen with cookware and serve ware, and a combo washer/dryer (of which I did not expect and would've brought less in my suitcase if I'd known). My stay was 3 days/nights, but was very comfortable and I could see myself being content there for a much longer period. I will definitely look out for other Sonder locations when traveling for work or leisure visiting other cities.

Easy to get in and out. Very clean. Parking lots all over. We found one right behind the building and parked our large car there for 3 nights $62. Good location.

I’m familiar with the area, so I knew where to find groceries. Area might be safe during the day, but in any big cities one needs to stay aware of what is going on around them. The washer dryer was complicated. I tried using Sonder app to find instructions, but I was never able to find the instructions. The Sonder/Burham was mostly quiet except for a couple nights. I don’t think that one guest realized what all I could hear.

It was super clean, cozy, quiet, easy check-in, very close to the Union Station, cafes, grocery, Greektown. Lovely building, great design. Gym. the room was lovely. The stove, dishwasher, and washing and drying machine. Thank you sonder staff! I loved my stay, and would stay again!!!!

The room was clean and comfortable. Accessibility and parking was easy. The entrance to the building is DIRTY and unappealing. Front door area had not been swept for the entire stay. Windows in were filthy - looks like they had never been cleaned.

Perfect close t train station. Easy check in

Price and location were very good. Room was "rustic" with old brick walls but full kitchen a plus for long term stays. Bed was very comfortable. .
Location was noisy in early morning, esp. east side (fire trucks, garbage pickup - need sound deadening windows. Sound comes through floor from above and walls - carpet, insulation? Tap water had an off-taste. Light switches poorly placed. Need 15# and 20# dumbbells.

Great location in relation to the train depot and El Station. You can connect to any of the el lines from the Clinton station and be at all parts of the city. The apartment was very nicely equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay. We had a little trouble initially entering the building but quickly became acclimated to the process. When we had questions, phone calls were answered promptly and issues resolved. Only negative we could see was that there was no chair or sofa to relax on, only the bed and a bench next to the table.

I apartment was noisy and we could hear noise throughout our stay. Sometimes, at 2-3 AM in the morning!

Tidy, cute, modern space. Convenient to public transport and a great deal!

The rooms are great and well kept but the building is not sound proofed and you will hear your neighbors above and beside you very clearly, even if they’re just having normal volume conversations. The customer service was exceptional and helped us switch rooms but unfortunately we had the same issue after we were moved. Not ideal if you’re planning on taking naps or relaxing during the day.
