Highly recommend the Redbird Hideaway for a couple or for a family! The host has thought of all of your potential needs and then some for a relaxing getaway. Very clean, informative book, surprise activities for kids/families, and lots of soft towels! The location is quiet and perfect for an outdoor getaway.

This was a perfect place to stay in the country, yet close to state parks and the caves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The cabin itself is so clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped (it even had marshmallow roasting forks). As lovely as the cabin itself is, the outdoor area with the swing and fire pit were the best part. The best part of our stay was the night we had a marshmallow roast and sat out until late watching the fireflies. Even though neighbors are close, it feels so private. We even saw deer one morning. It was close to all the sites we wanted to see. Lake Nolan is beautiful, and we were able to get to Mammoth Cave in about 15-20 minutes. I wish we had been able to stay longer.

What a great place to stay. The cabin is clean and close to Mammoth Cave National Park. It comfortably slept my family of 4 and we got to see some nearby wildlife. The host responded to my inquiries very quickly and was easy to work with.

Nice accomadations, just wjat we were looking for. Saw deer and a turtle. Could her turkeys. Had books, games and toys for the kids. Ni e fire pit.

One day we visited Nolin State Park and we visited Mammoth Cave National Park on another day. Both parks are located nearby and are beautiful places. The beds were super comfortable and we slept peacefully. We ate several meals at the Redbird and found everything we needed to accommodate our cooking. The Redbird was just the right place for us.

We enjoyed the whole 4 days. The atmosphere was fantastic. The friendliness of the staff. I'm so glad to have the place Everyone was so happy. Thank you once again. Hope we left the place to your satisfaction. Hope to return soon.

Very clean, and nice we enjoyed the property and stay, it doesn’t really sleep 7 like it says in Vrbo ad but it does sleep 5 comfortably, it needs Atleast a queen bed in down stairs bedroom really, and a couch that makes a bed, then it would be better!! They had mouse traps set out in bedroom and there was a dead mouse in it been there a few days atleast haha, but other than that it was nice and clean, also the water for a shower could of been hotter because you turn the hot wide open and adjust cold but the setting on water heater is way too low in my opinion, over all it’s a very nice place and I would stay again if I needed to! I’d rate it a 6-10 because of dead mouse, only warm shower not hot, and small bed down stairs, and no couch bed!! But thank you it’s a nice place and the outside lights and fire pit is great!!

We booked this cabin for our first family road trip to Mammoth Caves. The cabin met our expectations. It says it's able to sleep 7, we were tight on space with our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children), but were not inside much during the day for it to matter. The cabin itself was cozy and decorated beautifully. Unfortunately, I feel the communication with the host could have been better. While we were there, there was construction on the property that we were not informed about. 2 of the 3 mornings we were there a semi truck with gravel was dumped into the driveway near the cabin before we were even out of bed. An entire day and a half there was excavator and bobcat work on the property moving gravel and creating a new driveway - it was loud and was not ideal for having 3 children who wanted to play outside. I wish the host would have informed us that this work would be taking place during our visit, a little communication would go a long way, instead of waking up to the sound of dumping gravel.

We loved the cabin. It had all the amenities but was still rustic and fairly secluded. It was also near Mammoth Cave NP and there were grocery stores and restaurants fairly nearby. We would return.

This is a must book cabin rental! From the check in/checkout process to all the amenities, it was fantastic. The cabin is beautifully decorated and all of the amenities provided were above and beyond my expectations. I can’t wait to rebook this cabin again and go back to enjoy the beautiful fire pit area provided for guest (it was a little too chilly this time around for outdoor fun 😊).

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was immaculately clean when we arrived and had everything we needed to relax there on our vacation. The kids enjoyed the toys, games and play set. We hope to be back some day!

Stay was great

We had a great time at this cabin. Kids loved playing with the toys and outside in the yard. Clean, had everything we needed, super nicely decorated, great water pressure in the shower, etc. I only gave the location a 4 instead of 5 due to this area in KY is very rural and food options are extremely limited close by. But it was the perfect location to visit Mammoth Cave National Park, which is what we went for.

-Cabin was absolutely beautiful and cozy, plenty of space to spread out especially for 2 people who are used to Chicago apartment living -Kitchen was well outfitted, it may seem odd to call out the kitchen second, but often I find I don't have what I need to cook and here there was everything! I love to cook my own meals so this was a bonus. -Great outside area, plenty of different seating options, the logs for the firepit were huge, a bit of challenge to get lit, but we brought extra kindling and lucked out with the weather being dry so we enjoyed fires at night. The hanging lights around the outdoor space were a nice touch. The rocking chairs on the front porch were very comfy, too. Lots of birds passed through the area, we would love to come back during migratory bird week. That said the leaves were all changing colors so if you are into that, go in the Fall! -About 30 minutes drive to Mammoth Cave visitor center -About 10 minutes from Nolin River Lake, there is a nice trail there, which winds around the lakes and back into the forest, saw some interesting birds, definitely recommend checking this out

The cabin was very clean and very cozy. It had quality furnishings and the kitchen was nicely stocked. It was also kid friendly with toys and games . We loved it

This cabin was in a great location to enjoy Mammoth Cave. Our family of 6 was very comfortable. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, and very nicely decorated. We especially loved the outdoor area. We’d highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful 2 nights in this amazing cabin. The cabin was on the small side, but was set up to maximize every inch and was well stocked with everything needed. The outside area was fantastic! We used the fire pit both nights for Smores, played cards at the picnic table, and the play set kept the kids occupied. We did have some trouble getting up the gravel drive when we were leaving and the van was all loaded (due to the weight in the back). Luckily, we made it out, though we wouldn't have minded be stuck there a little longer :) Thank you for a great stay!

This was such a cozy cabin. We loved our stay and appreciated that it was tucked away and quiet. The upstairs bed was so comfortable!

Loved this property! Everything was perfect! Had our 2 grandkids with us and the outside swing/play area was wonderful and unique toys/games they loved. We loved the outdoor fire pit area where we did s’mores. Hubby loved the gas stove!! 30 minutes from the cave.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this property. It is clean and quaint and nicely decorated. So very comfortable. The outdoor area was the main reason we chose it for our younger kids and it did not disappoint! It was private and well thought out for families. Our only regret is we wish we could have stayed longer. We actually decided to return next month for a couples get away!

Redbird Hideaway was more than expected. The cabin had everything we needed, plus some. The host’s accommodations ranged from things to do for small children to adults, with plenty of board games and reading material. Wi-Fi was excellent in the secluded privacy of the cabin. The kitchen was fully equipped and the washer/dryer was a huge plus. Outside the cabin was a fire-pit with firewood, a grill, and a playset for children. Perfect for making s’mores. The jacuzzi tub was nice and beds were comfortable after spending the day canoeing on the Green River. We all enjoyed our time spent at this beautiful cozy cabin tucked away in the woods. The perfect retreat!

My family stayed here while visiting mammoth cave. It’s just the most lovely cabin. The Edison lights around the yard are perfect while having fires. Lots of space to relax. Deer walked through every evening with tons of lightning bugs. Upstairs AC is perfect for keeping the loft cool. Will definitely be back!!
