Looking for a unique and luxurious Kauai getaway with incredible views, a pool, and air conditioning? Would you like something that feels private and secluded yet close to some of Kauai's most amazing beaches? Escape to this bluff estate overlooking Anini Beach and Kalihiwai Bay! If you are not familiar with this part of the North Shore, Anini Beach is a long stretch of sandy beach that is reef protected and great for kids, Kalihiwai Bay is a 10 minute walk from the house to Kalihiwai River access where you can wade or paddle board to the bay. Kalihiwai River is excellent for paddling up the river to the falls. Come enjoy the less crowded, beautiful beaches in Kilauea. Venture up the private drive and discover Hale 'O Lalani, situated on 1.7 acres atop a bluff overlooking Anini beach and Kalihiwai Bay providing incredible views to the blue Pacific and the lush green Kalihiwai Valley. The home boasts 2400 sq. ft of living space with views from almost every room in the home. The primary suite has newly installed A/C and is located on one side of the house and has ocean views from bed and bath. On the other side of the home is a media room with apple tv, a queen bedroom and a double twin bedroom that share a full bathroom. All of the bedrooms feature premium bedding and pillows. There is a great flow to the house with a large great room with views off both sides of the house. Large, fully stocked kitchen for home cooked meals. Formal dining area opens out to the back lanai with a Weber gas grill and expansive private yard. On the lower level is a workspace with printer and high speed internet, a secondary living area with tv, queen bed, and 3rd bathroom. From the lower lanai it’s just a few steps to the inviting pool. Bedroom Configuration: Upstairs main suite with king bed and en suite bath and outdoor shower Upstairs guest bedroom with queen bed and shared bath Upstairs guest bedroom with two twin beds and shared bath Downstairs bedroom with queen bed and en suite bath Located in Kilauea on the North Shore of Kauai a 5 min drive to Kilauea town, 10 min to Princeville, 15 min to Hanalei. Walking distance to Kalihiwai Bay and short drive to Anini Beach. *A/C in upstairs 3 bedrooms. **Please note that the property is located on a hilltop and the driveway is steep with a sharp turn, 4WD or AWD is preferred rental car. Staying at this Vrbo property in Kauai was a dream come true. On one side, the house offers breathtaking views of the lush mountainside, and on the other, the serene expanse of the ocean. The four bedrooms were perfect for our family, providing both comfort and privacy. Plus, the beautiful pool was the cherry on top of our unforgettable vacation. We'll cherish this paradise escape forever.

We loved our time and the property met our expectations. The location was amazing with really great views. The landscaping wasn’t quite maintained (minor things like lawn and dead palm branches) and there was some construction next door, but overall our stay was very nice. The extra equipment in the garage was a really nice bonus. The beds were comfortable and the house was in good shape overall as far as rentals go.

This home was perfect for our family, 6 adults and one 4 year old. The views are simply awe inspiring, both from front and back yard. We also had fun in the pool between excursions. The home had everything you need for cooking, playing and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a week to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. It was a special event and we wanted to book just the right place, knowing my dad would want to spend a lot of time at the house. The views are absolutely stunning - the best on the island. The house was perfectly maintained with all the provisions we needed. We hired a chef to come cook one night and she had no problems cooking a multi course meal for 6 people in the open floorplan kitchen. This house was really spectacular.
As everyone said, the driveway is steep and has a tight right turn as you go up, but we had a jeep so there were no issues. As of early May they have begun construction for a house nextdoor, which does cause some noise. And then towards the end of our week little things began to breakdown - the internet stopped working (we couldn't get it fixed but the property managers were very responsive and tried to problem solve as best they could), the clothes drier stopped working, and the coffee maker started giving us trouble. None of these were big troubles for us but maybe worth noting if you plan for a longer stay.
Any of the above were far outweighed by the expansiveness of both the property and the views. It really made our trip as perfect as we could have imagined.

Quaint older home with lovely views. Quiet. Super well stocked kitchen et al, one of best we’ve ever stayed in. Host was wonderful and very helpful. Generously reimbursed us for fans we bought. As people who live in intense heat ironically were soft in terms of desire for AC. Master bedroom with unit. Remainder home open windows, most screened. Warm late day (was high 70’s our week, little rain) but in morning wonderful (in fact more comfortable than bedroom). Driveway up a fun adventure, best with good traction. Pool is pretty private and perfect temperature. Construction adjacent minimal impact. Great beds. Would for sure stay again in on Kauai.

We had an amazingly peaceful vacation in Kauai last month, and this house was the perfect place to camp out. The location is centrally located on the North Shore in the perfect location for our needs. The property was very private on the top of a hill with a great little pool in front. The house was very nice compared to other places we have rented on the North Shore. Amenities were great. very comfy beds and sofas, fast internet with AppleTVs for movies at night (after star gazing... unbelievable), and every kitchen appliance we needed including blender, espresso machine, waffle maker, etc. Everything we needed to feel like home.

The best views on the island. Easy location to get to. Wonderful breezes. The driveway is super steep and scary at first, but becomes and adventure . Worth it when you get up. Perfectly appointed everything . Lots of room. Highly recommended. The only comment would be more comfy outdoor furniture to enjoy the views more. It’s ok but inexpensive and not comfortable. Thai scale of house deserves better .

This house exceeded all our expectations. Well laid out, well stocked and well maintained. The location was perfect. Ocean view and ocean breezes on one side of the home, and mountain views on the other. Almost like two vacations in one. Easy access to Anini Beach, as well as Hanalei and Kilauea. We absolutely loved this home and would definitely stay here again.Some notes that may be helpful: The house is well maintained and clean but it is not brand new. Some areas do show signs of aging from weather and use, which was not a negative for us. The driveway is steep, as others have said, but can be managed with two wheel drive as long as the car is properly balanced. A front wheeldrive minivan loaded up in the back with kids and suitcases will struggle. Most other vehicles should be okay. There is no air conditioning, which was not a real issue for us, but is worth noting. Access to the pool is not as easy as it could be, and you can't really see the pool when you are upstairs in the house or on the patio, which can be a positive or a negative, whether you desire privacy or would prefer to be able to watch the kids swim while you sat on the patio.

This home far exceeded our expectations! We typically rent in the Hanalei Bay area, but this oasis outside of town was so peaceful, the home layout is nice and big/spread out, and the views were incredible-- you get the best of both worlds: ocean views + valley/mountain views. Also super close to great beaches (anini + Kalihiwai), a 12 min drive into Hanalei, 5 mins to princeville, and so close to Kilahea! House is in great condition, very comfortable, and well equipped with most everything you need for a nice home away from home. Per other reviews, the driveaway is steep and a little bit daunting at first, but not so bad once you get the swing of it!

The house is exceptionally clean and way more than enough room for the two of us. The app with helpful information is also a nice touch. The only negative is that they are building a home on the property next door and some days there is heavy machinery noise from late mornings through the afternoon, but really a non-issue if you are out and about (they never worked prior to 1030 am). The home is very private and secluded, and the pool is perfect for a quick dip or sunbathing. The backyard is fantastic for watching the wildlife and has plenty of room to roam around. Would recommend to anyone interested!

We had a great time at this place. The house is very well appointed with new and nice furniture and bedding, bone China, etc. The view of Anini Beach from the front deck is wonderful as is the view from the back yard of the hills, mountains and jungle. Very relaxing and private. Anini Beach is a short drive down the hill.
The only downside to this property is the driveway, which is very steep (very!) with a sharp dog leg halfway up. If you don't have 4WD you will spin, get high sided on the dog leg and wonder if you will make it. Rent a Jeep or some other short wheel base 4WD and you will be fine.

My family had a wonderful stay at this lovely home atop a hill with views of the sea and the mountains. We spied humpback whales each morning while sipping our coffee, enjoyed the nearby beaches, and hiked along the NaPali Coast trail. It was a joy to return to this lovely home at the end of the day and cook a family dinner. The home has everything we needed and the property manager was wonderfully responsive. We can’t wait to come back!
