Enjoyable visit to this “quirky” hotel. Great meal in the Thai restaurant. Loved the room, although a little bit dark!

Very clean room, bizarrely no kettle etc ... we ate in the thai restaurant and that was lovely. Breakfast however was a shambles...

Could be an amazing place but poor service lets it down. Drinks and food very overpriced, although the food we had was good. Have always wanted to visit but have been left a little disappointed.

First impression, as one would expect are wow however once you have gotten over the shock of the interiors, you find tired furniture, dusty and dirty surfaces, lamp shades, dimmer switches that dont work, phones that dont work, sofas covered in cheap throws, 'gold taps' that are no longer gold, curtains held on by the skin of their teeth. No hospitality trays in detached accommodation buildings so no room service offered.. you have to go to the bar etc. I only wish I had visited 10 years ago.

If you haven’t been before it is a really comfortable hotel. Service is great and the rooms are all individually designed and are very comfy. Pillows and bed were lovely. Car parking is free and a short walk from the hotel. Our only grumble was that the breakfast that was included was rather basic and we had a long wait on the second day, and not able to offer anything but natural yoghurt despite showing Greek and a coconut option. Small details but for a 5 star hotel this shouldn’t be an issue. The different rooms with North African themed comforts were a great place to enjoy a post dinner drink. We are in the English Restaurant one night and informed them it was our 25th anniversary, but no acknowledgement or a congrats, the receptionist noted our celebration and assured us the restaurant knew, however this wasn’t the case. Only a small detail, but an important one for us. It is the little things that go a long way. The lady that helped us connect to the tv cast on both days was fab! Overall a worthwhile visit and intriguing place to stay. The toilets are bizarre and wonderful all at once. Didn’t try the pool as this is ambient temperature and the weather wasn’t the best. If you can stretch to a suite with copper bath in room do so. It is great! Only grumble was breakfast and the lack of acknowledgement of our silver wedding anniversary. Beaconsfield is a great location. Several local restaurants for lunch or dinner to choose from.

The room was amazing. The food was amazing. The food service was 5+ star. The hotel is genuinely one (well two of a kind). Docked a star because food and drink a little overpriced. Too long to wait (20 mins) mins for (amazing) cocktails on busy Saturday eve. Slight lack of attention to detail. Broken glass on feature table. One of many light bulbs gone. I'm being picky given the total price paid. Would probably return. One day.
