About this house rental

Bowlish House is a Grade II* Listed Georgian Stately Home in the pretty Village of Bowlish. The house is perfect for families/groups of friends looking to get away for a celebration, holiday or just a relaxing weekend away. Recently refurbished to a high standard, featuring stylish artwork, ceramics & antique furniture. the house combines a feeling of grandeur in a homely, warm setting with light and airy spaces that become cosy nooks in the evenings, a gorgeous space for a get-together to relax & enjoy. Please note: as we are currently styling the house the furniture and artwork in the images here may differ to the final result. The town of Bowlish is ideally situated near several points of interest inc Glastonbury Tor, Ebbor Gorge, Wells Cathedral, Longleat & Babbington House to mention a few. The ground floor opens up to a grand hallway, a family lounge area, library/bar, ballroom & orangery where you can enjoy lazy brunches & dinner party's. Our professional kitchen can be used for external chefs to use or for group meal prep. We also have a pantry with all the basics you may need to get you started. Our lovely orangery leads out to our pretty garden & patio area which you can use for dining or drinks. There are 7 bedrooms with 5 having en suites, all the bedrooms other than one can be found on the first floor. Because the house is grade II* listed unfortunately there is no lift but we can organise for one of the social spaces on the ground floor to be a sleeping space with accessible WC. If required, we have 3 rollaway foldout beds suitable for children that can be placed in the larger bedrooms. Please do ask if you would like us to supply these. Bowlish House is located opposite the local pub with other public houses & eateries within a short journey. Various towns/city's can be reached very easily by car or public transport (Shepton Mallet, Wells, Frome Bath). Bowlish is a quaint little village on the edge of Shepton Mallet. A lovely local pub is a few steps from our front door with other pubs and restaurants within a short car journey, stroll. Guests can enjoy the whole House, private gardens & patio dining area. We have a private owners flat in the attic which may be of use during your stay but it has its own access so you will have complete privacy. Available for exclusive use, please enquire for prices. We will greet you upon arrival to welcome you and briefly show you the space and answer any questions you may have. We can be on hand if you need anything during your stay but rest assured you will have complete privacy.
