Located in Rothbury, this lovely cottage for $166 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Whether you’re after a romantic weekend away, an escape with friends or catching one of the many concerts the Hunter Valley is now famous for, Madigan has a cottage to suit. The Barn was never actually a barn, it was simply styled on a barn. It is one of our most popular cottages as it suits couples equally as well as suiting a small family or some friends. A queen-sized bedroom downstairs and a cosy loft area with 2 queen beds provide all the sleeping comforts you desire. Quality linen and towels are all provided and the kitchen has all you will need to cook with. You’ll also find a gas BBQ on the veranda. Just bring your food and drink and you’re all set. Room Configurations: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed Loft: Two Queen beds The barn is a freestanding, self-contained cottage. Madigan is a self-check-in property with a check-in time after 3pm. After booking, details of the check-in process will be sent to you. We always strive to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests, so please inform us if you plan to arrive earlier than the set check-in time. Madigan Cottages has 5 self contained cottages on 100 wide open acres. We also have Stomp! Wine operating their cellar door on site. You'll find lots of nature including kangaroos and rabbits as well as waterbirds on our dams. We have some paddocks with agisted horses - to look at not touch :) We are centrally located to all the Pokolbin and Lovedale area cellar doors, restaurants, golf courses etc and are a pick up point for all Hunter Valley concerts. You will need a car to travel around Hunter Valley. However, there are small bus operators that serve the wine region and are willing to pick you up in Madigan. There is plenty of open land for walking, biking, or simply relaxing on the verandah (or at the cellar door located on our property) to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful sunsets. On your departure, we appreciate if you can •Leave your accommodation in a tidy state. •Quick wipe of the kitchen surfaces to keep insects away. •It’s ok to start a dishwasher cycle and leave, if your cottage has a dishwasher, but please wash and put away any utensils not in the dishwasher. •Turn off lights, heaters and air conditioners. •Ensure that all outside doors and windows are closed and locked before you leave •Leave your stay key inside and just close and lock the door behind you on exit. Guest numbers Your accommodation has been booked for an agreed number of people and beds. We trust that you will let us know if there are any additional guests, so we can adjust the fee. If your cottage has more beds than you have booked for, we would appreciate if you can leave them untouched. Washing and cleaning are our largest costs, so your consideration is appreciated. Linen Bed sheets, pillow cases, doonas, bath towels/face washers for the booked number of guests will be in your cabin prior to your arrival. Unless expressly arranged for longer duration stays, sheets and towels will not be replaced during your stay No need to pull beds down on departure. We would prefer you just pulled them up into a neat and tidy state. Please leave towels/face washers in a neat pile in the bathroom prior to departure. Noise You have 4 other guest cottage neighbours and neighbours adjoining the property. Noise travels a very long way. Music should never be excessive. 10pm is a good guide to stop any music or excessive festivities from emanating from your cottage. Please be considerate 24 hours per day.
