The location was not easy to find. No address given, despite being requested several times. We could not contact owner once we left where we were with WiFi. This was made clear to the owner. We asked for address. The owner made excuses and just gave us directions on the emails. Where we ended up was not the photo of the guesthouse. That is all we had to go by. This led to our group having to book elsewhere on our first night. Very inconvenient and unnerving during the middle of the night. Was very scary not knowing the area. Disliked  · We had to find elsewhere to book for the night at an expense we did not budget for. We found out on email via booking.com that the owner had cancelled our booking and told us to rebook. We did so, as we needed to stay within our budget. We again asked the owner for the address. Again the owner gave directions. The owner claimed there are no numbers on addresses. We had to use the photo to find the property and show to people. We eventually found the property rather late and were met by barking dogs! No owner in sight. The outside of the property is not as it appeared on the photo. It was quite scruffy and very shabby. One of the things that stood out was the smell of dog urine and poo. It was extremely strong and overpowering. We left. We wanted cheap accommodation but we expected some basic standards. Very disappointed with this experience. It has tarnished our stay in Jamaica. Subsequently, Comfort Rooms is listed twice on booking.com, same name but different addresses! No wonder we got confused. Give one address as Ocho Rios and the other as Content, Tower Isles. The owner is double booking and some guests are having to be turned away! Outrageous. We have since found out that this guesthouse is also called Rooms on the Ridge or was called so previously. PLEASE CHECK OUT ALL THE PHOTOS on this property Rooms on the Ridge. It is not dog friendly. Disgusting. Read the reviews. Google Rooms on the Ridge.
