Idlewild is on a quiet rolling 4 acre property and is equipped with kayaks, snow shoes, a fire pit, sleds and sledding hill, and apple trees. Truly a four season getaway! 10 min to Stowe, 20 min to ski, great hiking, kayaking, restaurants and shops minutes away! A haven, from the basics to details. -Living room with gas fireplace, 65 inch TV, equipped with puzzles, games and ample space -Well equipped kitchen with coffee bar and views from the table that will leave you lingering. Cozy and bright sitting area with overstuffed chairs. -4 cozy and unique bedrooms that bring out the literary buff in all of us. The Sherlock Holmes room: King bed, electric fireplace, desk The Jane Austen room: King bed, faux fireplace, sitting area The C.S. Lewis room: 2 twin beds and a wardrobe that might lead to Narnia The Shakespeare office: large built-in desk with a view, 2 twin-trundle beds Idlewild is ideally situated on 4 rolling acres, just outside the bustle but a quick drive from Stowe's best locations. On the property, enjoy a deck with views of Mt. Elmore, fire pit, mature apple trees, raspberry bushes, garden area, and a tree swing. The garage is stocked. You're welcome to 2 individual kayaks, 1 double kayak, kayak car-mounting equipment (for cars with and without rails), sleds for our sledding hill, adult and kid snowshoes, yard games, and plenty of room to stash your ski equipment, bikes, and gear. You can park in the large 2 car garage. Driving times: Stowe village center (10 min), Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (5), Lamoille Lake (5), Stowe ski resort (20), Smugglers' Notch ski resort (30), Moss Glen Falls (10), Stowe Recreation Path (15), Smugglers' Notch State Park (24), Trapp Family Lodge Outdoor Center (20), Sterling Gorge Falls (15), Jay Peak ski resort (45). Check out our welcome guide for all our local favorites! Guests have access to the entire home and property with exception of the unfinished basement and one locked closet. We do not allow: pets, events, parties, smoking, drugs, firearms, or fireworks. Eight guests maximum- this is a legal requirement for us, and we do monitor this and have outdoor security cameras. Outdoor quiet hours begin at 9pm in our family friendly, quiet neighborhood.
