Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Security camera details: There are active security cameras are outside the home pointed at the front door and perimeter. Additional exterior security cameras pointed at the backyard pool and patio area are turned off while guests are present. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This cabin is located in amazing spot right next to a creek and close to town. It is very comfortable with lots of space. It is an older cabin, but was a great place to stay with dogs. There is a hot tub which we wish we knew about before we came as we would’ve brought our swimsuits. All of the amenities listed in the posting were present and the beds were very comfortable. There was a slight gas odor in the kitchen area. When we reported it, they sent someone out to look right away. However, he was not able to figure out the problem, so hopefully they get someone in to permanently fix the issue as we read some of the previous reviews that mention this same thing. However, the odor was very faint and did not ruin my experience. There is no air conditioning (which we knew about ahead of time from the listing) and it was a little tough to cool down the upstairs. So if you are someone that likes it very cool at night, might want to consider sleeping downstairs. If you have a family with dogs, this would be a great place to stay!

To start, this rating is more about Vacasa, and less about the home. I wish I had read reviews first about Vacasa before making the final choice on this property. The second day into our vacation, the hot water disappeared and never was restored during our stay. Understandably, hot water is not a luxury but it’s a necessity and an expectation when renting a vacation home. Ultimately, we were refunded 1/4 of the cost of our $1,000 however I had to file a formal complaint to even get that. The property manager who visited our property and confirmed the hot water issue never got back to us for the rest of our stay. Initially, he only offered to refund $100 which would’ve been 1/10 of the cost of the entire stay. Please be careful if you are renting this property or dealing with Vacasa in the future and read their terms and conditions carefully. If it had not been for the lack of hot water, our stay would’ve been absolutely lovely. My complaint really here is with the management company, Vacasa.

Everything was great, except a few problems that the owner should deal with. The driveway is narrow and windy, and should be widened or given some kind of guard rails. The upstairs shower only gave dangerously hot water. The downstairs shower valve took a lot of strength to open and close.

The getaway and property itself was great and I loved that my dog was able to practically run free on the property. However, there were cobwebs in all the windows and dead bugs in the webs. There were cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures and the place was dusty which sent my daughters allergies into a tailspin.. The dryer is leaking gas and woke us up in the middle of the night...my sister and nephew are still feeling off today from the fumes. The carpet smelled of animal urine and there were some old stains on the bedding. I really loved the property but feel the cleaning company could do a much better job of cleaning between guest , especially since each customer gets charges a cleaning fee up fromt.

Quiet neighborhood, property is fully fenced so we were all able to enjoy our stay without worry! Well stocked, fantastic deck, hot tub, bbq, perfect for relaxing amongst the trees. We will be back for sure!

We loved our visit and relaxation time that the cabin afforded. The back deck was a delight. The chairs and couch in the living room was sooo comfy. The driveway was very steep and a bit treacherous with the snow but that’s to be expected for a mountain home. For the love of everything sanitary, please remove the shag carpet from the bathroom. Overall, 10/10 We would love to come back again!

We loved our stay here in Idyllwild . The hot tub was quite a treat after a day of hiking, The views from the back of home are amazing(views from the front are nice too!). FYI if you like cooking with non-stick, bring a pan. There was plenty to use for cooking but we missed a non-stick pan. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonder two nights in your spacious and clean home. The hot tub was wonderful and beds were very comfortable. The only minor concerns and questions were the bathroom fan not working and why rugs in the bathrooms? They were clean but seemed strange. Again these were very minor to our overall appreciation and satisfaction with our stay. Thank you, and we will be back!

This spacious cabin was an ideal getaway from the desert heat. Unfortunately, we were there during the hottest Idyllwild temperature ever recorded! Luckily they provided several box fans and we spent most of our time sprawled on the deck enjoying the wooded scenery or lounging around the great room watching Netflix.

We loved this place. The location is great and the peaceful sound of Strawberry Creek was relaxing. The house needs a bit of a spring cleaning but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. If you are coming during the cold months bring extra blankets as it can get really chilly!

The location is the best since we have been coming to Idyllwild for our yearly family get away. The rooms are spacious, the views from any window are breathtaking. The only downside is that the oven was so filthy we were not able to bake. There was holes in the lower restroom, and there were not enough soap to wash the hot tub towels for re use (good thing I brought my own detergent). Will probably rent this again.

Downstairs bathroom didn’t work and sewer was backed up into the yard. Otherwise it was nice. Could have used some blankets though. Also no trash bags stocked.
