The villa is set in a well-tended, walled garden. It has a deep veranda running along the facade, furnished with a sofa and armchairs so that guests can relax and enjoy an aperitivo. There is also a dining table and chairs for meals al fresco. Two sets of French windows open directly into the open-plan living/dining room. This spacious room is furnished with a sofa and a large dining table and chairs. An attractive archway leads from the dining area into the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and a wooden kitchen table. A double glass door leads from the kitchen to the back terrace. The beach’s gentle slope makes it ideal for children and elderly visitors. It is a 3-minute drive from the centre of the popular resort of Torre Lapillo. Here guests will find all the amenities they need including supermarkets (3 minutes), restaurants, pizzeria and banks. The town of Porto Cesareo (5 minutes) is further south on the coast. Here visitors will find more beautiful beaches and lively nightlife. The town’s weekly market (Thursday) is the best place to find the finest local food, including olive oil and a variety of cheeses. Further down the Ionian coast, the historic port of Gallipoli (35 minutes) is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months. Alternatively, Lecce (40 minutes) is known as the “Florence of the south”. It is famous for its fine Baroque architecture and delicious cuisine. The closest airport is at Brindisi - just under an hour away by car.
