Superb

Dar Adrar was a magical gem tucked on the mountain with views to die for and the best staff ever. Whatever we needed, they ran up and down the steep mountain to get! Hamid, in particular, went above and beyond. He is fantastic.

It was a bit challenging finding the place. We went up and down the mountain several times in the car. I called a couple of times and then all worked out.

Breakfast, dinner, and service were amazing. Super friendly and helpful with all our questions!! Everything is very clean. The noise of sheep, chickens, and birds created a super serene atmosphere

The main snowy peaks are blocked by leaves from the private balconies but the top public terrace had fantastic views

This place is in a good location. Near to the hiking trail. Hamid is a very friendly and welcoming host who provided a lot of local information to us. Dinner was amazing. Thank you!

A fully immersive and welcoming mountain experience in a home away from home.

We had a wonderful time at Dar Adrar. Hamid was incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. He even carried our luggage up and down the steep steps on our arrival and departure! The dinner they made us was absolutely delicious and we ate it in front of a roaring fire, which he lit for us. The room and bathroom were exactly as we expected - comfortable, and with an incredible view. He also provided us with lots of extra blankets. The breakfast was the best we had in Morocco, and served on the terrace, over-looking the most astonishing panoramic view of the Imlil Valley. We would definitely recommend Dar Adrar to anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the culture and beauty that is Morocco. A true home away from home.

Dar Adrar is simply fantastic! Our host, Hamid, was flexible, hospitable, and kind. Stunning views of the village and the mountains from the bedrooms and the terrace. Breakfast, served on the terrace, was abundant and delicious. And few pleasures in life are greater than coming back to a cozy fire place and a pot of tea after a long and gruelling trek. Thank you!

A perfect place to start or finish a trek in the area

This hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood with nice views of local life. It is a great place to finish or start a trek in High Atlas.

We enjoyed staying at Dar Adrar very much. Great home base to explore the region!

Beautiful view over the whole valley and Imlil. The breakfast was delicious and we got a lot of recommendations about our hiking options in the region.

You need to get to the property by foot, so make sure your luggage is in a backpack (no problem otherwise, the host was offering to help us if we needed it)

If you want a simple good and remote (ish) location then it is perfect. If not, go elsewhere.

The location was amazing, half way down the hill in the middle of the local rural village. About 1Km out of (up from) the small town. Only book if you are willing to walk along rough ground and past the cows, goats and chickens! A mule is available to carry your bags from the town if required. 5 mis walk to the waterfall. The 100MAD dinner was the (most simple) and best meal we had in Morocco.

Just an amazing place. Amazing people, Hamid particularly and everyone there were just great. Amazing food in the evening, any advice you need for trekking or getting guides. Great breakfast. Can't speak highly enough of the place. Highlight of Morocco :)

If you’re in Imlil, stay in Dar Adrar. Made me feel like I’m awaited and I’m home. Amazing!

I’m truly amazed by Dar Adrar! What a brilliant hidden gem in Imlil. It’s a couple of hundred meters away from the main square of Imlil, a little climbing. It’s a really cozy house with a terrace that must have the best views in the village. But it’s not only that. The host, Hamid, will take great care of you. He’s there for you in any way. If you’re cold and tired from a trek in the mountains, you’ll get warm tea. Breakfast and dinner is top notch. Suggestions to make your stay more comfortable etc. Hamid, keep doing what you’re doing mate, thanks for being a wonderful host! The rooms are cozy, heated, extra blankets for cold nights, food great. You will always have the best attention from the staff. Bless you, Dar Adrar family!

Brief visit at Dar Adrar

The location was very good as were the evening meals and packed lunch. Terrace and wood burning stove were very welcome at different times. Hamid, the host, was very cheerful and helpful.

At the end of January, it was very cold in Imlil. It snowed before and after our visit. It took a while for the heating to warm up our room and the good supply of blankets was most welcome.

Hamid aït Brahim who runs the place is absolutely excellent : Helpful, resourceful, efficient. Can be trusted. Bathroom decoration. Good hot water. Views over Imlil and the mountains. Cardamon coffee for breakfast excellent. Breakfast hot drinks available at any time before breakfast. Excellent terrace. Warm wood burning stove in January. Breakfast and dinner food excellent. All good clean and fresh. Nice hotel personalised crockery ‘Dar Adrar’ in Tifinagh. Possibility to leave luggage at the property while out trekking.

Wonderful stay before and after hiking Toubkal

There were a lot of things that made our stay wonderful. First, the owner was waiting for us with tea. Our room was clean with lovely hot water, which was highly appreciated after the hike. The food was delicious and the view from the terrace was stunning. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, he gave advice about hiking Toubkal, helped us to arrange everything, gave filteres water, etc. We could not recommend Dar Adrar more.

The surrounding area seems a bit run down, but don't let it discourage you, Dar Adrar itself is nice.

Inspiring

This is a great Riad. Rooms are facing the walnut trees forest and the terrace ovelooks the valley and the high Atlas mountains. Keep in mind that if you arrive by car you need to take the stairs down to the Riad from the parking. However you can leave the car at the parking and go to the village from the Riad through the woods. It's a 10 min walk downhill

We spent some amazing days in Dar Adrar. The rooms are very clean, there is a nice terrace to hang out and they serve really good breakfast and dinner. But what has made the stay even better is the amazing staff, the kind and familiar athmosphere was more than perfect.

It was the best possible spot for us to spend some relaxing days in the mountains.

the location is stunning. amazing views. it’s a calm and quiet place to relax from long travels or the stressful city life. The host was extremely helpful, friendly, welcoming and doesn’t try to sell anything to you. Great hospitality and information about the area. Highly recommended!

The peacock was quite loud but that’s probably what you get when you go to the countryside :D

Modest family run home in the middle of the Imlil Mountains. Beautiful view on the terrace; we enjoyed a simple, delicious plentiful dinner and breakfast. The family was extremely accommodating and friendly. We are in the mountains so there is a short uphill climb to get to the home, but definitely manageable - and worth it for the view and quiet peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful place to visit the Atlas mountains

The location of the Dar Adrar is beautifull. They have a terrace on the top floor with a beatifull view on Imlil. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. It was easy to drive from marrakech airport to Dar Adrar even in the dark with a rented car.

great stay, thanks a lot. not for "old" people as uphill

the host is very nice and makes you fell you are welcomed in his home. the view is absolutely perfect and home cooked dinner was amazing. great price as well.

i am sorry to give only 8 as the host really deserves more. but the accomomation itself is way overratted. the bathroom is extremely cold and having a normal temperature shower is trully impossible. i am not complaining about anything but just think that 8 is an appropriate mark and quite a remarkable achievment.

Amazing views, amazing hospitality, in a really beautiful part of the Atlas Mountains

The location and hospitality from the staff were incredible, really going out of their way to help us and make our stay really comfortable. Our room was super cosy with a fireplace which they lit for us and the views… wow! There are also lots of great hikes you can do in the area without needing to climb Toubkal! Also the meals they cooked for us were delicious! Thank you so much!

One day we ran out of cold water and the shower wasn’t the best… but I’m just being picky here
