Hello, Everyone! I would like to tell you about my case with Fairmont Hotel, today, my wife arrived at the hotel after 14 hours flight with 6 hours of delays to the hotel, and the Manager of that hotel, Mrs/Ms. Stacey Charlesworth did not allow my wife to stay in it, cos she did not provide a credit card to make the security deposit, However, the booking was totally paid. At the same time, we propose to make it by cash, cos non all the tourist holding the credit card. on what we got the answer, "If I allow that to make the security deposit by cash, this will discriminate other people's rights" - ok. I respect other people's rights, however, by this, they were discriminated against my choice as a human to have the option to pay the security deposit by cash or use my debit/credit cards! Moreover, the manager was extremely rude, while having a conversation with her and explaining all of these things, he hung my call down!!!

Beautiful spot right downtown. Very handy to everything.
It was a bit confusing to find while using google maps

Staff at the front desk seemed unwilling to help us after a long trip.

I like how the elevator goes to the underground facilities. I like the bath robs, the big comfy beds and how friendly the door guys were. The city view was good, not great but good.
I didn't like how long it took to get my money back from the damage deposit, was hopin. Didn't like the inconvenience with the parking.

Location was great
Rooms smelled like everything was flooded, moldy smell… the actual mattresses have so many pee stains it’s disgusting. No microwave,

friendly staff, excellent service, great tasty food
dated and definitely not luxurious as advertised.
safe wasn’t working, cold and heater didn’t work until the 4th day, pipe is whistling in the middle of the night and really loud disturbing your sleep

ease of check in and concierge personally texting to offer assistance if needed .
The location is in quite a run down area, we have stayed here before but it has gone quite downhill in the past few years . The bathroom was awful. The shower head was leaking everywhere, the tub didn’t drain right so while taking a shower you’re standing in 3 inches of water. The only modernized upgraded thing in the room was the thermostat. The building is attached to a public parkade, therefore general public can access without lock/ keycard access it was sketchy, someone visibly intoxicated in the parkade, trying to block our entrance back into the building.

I liked the location, and the facility was very nice.
We had intended on using the pool, but we’re notified when we arrived that it was out of service, and would have to take a cab to another facility to use one. Even though we were paying quite a bit for the room, parking was extra.

Staff was super friendly and helpful- from valet, check in and restaurant, room service.
Weren’t told the pool was closed for repairs, we had brought kids with us and got up to the pool floor in our swimsuits to read a sign on the door that it was closed.
Our toilet plugged twice and I had to get someone to come at 9pm to unplug it when my toddler needed to sleep.

We ran into several issues. All small but put together it was disappointing. Management resolution was good and we will try again. Food in VG was fantastic both supper room service and in the restaurant breakfast.
Ice machine not working on 2 floors. Pool was not working. No hot water for shower after we came home from a concert.

Bed was comfortable!
Furniture in the room was chipped, scratched, outdated! Exposed electrical socket in hallway! Drapes were so old, several hooks were not attached to the rod! Booking.com mislead costumers into believing they were booking directly with the hotel and at the end of the day unable to CAA discount, as Booking.com is a third party for booking! As a rule moving forward, I’ll always phone the hotel directly and never use third party booking agency for any travel or hotel stays!

Fairmont was nice , employee s are there to help
Room was dirty & dusty . Parkcade was not suitable for trucks. No parking outside not accessible. I work for CP rail and could not access the discount through the front desk. Also, I am a veteran for the Canadian Armed Forces and they would not honor a discount.

the old style ritz
the beds, the far and low parkade, the guy at front desk did not issue my park pass, the shower came off the hinge in the shower, old building feeling
