We had read the reviews and decided that this "no-frills" accommodation was just what we needed. Since we barely spent time at the hotel other than at night, sleeping, we did not require anything that was not offered.
There was plenty of parking space in the allotted parking area, with the main parking lot having a capacity of hundreds and hundreds of cars, but crowded, apparently, when some event is taking place, which we did not experience. We never had an issue with finding a suitable berth.
Driving a rented car, we cannot assess the public transit options, but my impression is they are scanty. By car, however, Hamilton and the neighbouring towns are extremely easy to reach, and the parking situation was not as horrible (perhaps due to the summer season) as we had experienced.
The wifi coverage was excellent.
There was a misunderstanding with the room cleaning services. Officially, the cleaners come every third day, but on the third day, we were in when they would clean the room, so we asked them to come the next day. But they did not, so we waited five days, and when they did come, they would not touch our beds because "our items" were on them. While I understand this, it was a little nuisance to experience. However, since we took the accommodation for practical reasons of sleeping overnight, even this was but a minor issue.

Great rate, great staff
There’s parking right in front of the building and you’re forced to park on the far side. It’s a lot of walking for elderly people and I don’t understand why you can’t park in front of the building. There’s an absolutely no one there. The carpet in the room I stayed in was disgusting.

This 3-night stay was for my mom and I. We were super impressed by the price and the fact that we each had separate rooms - something you aren’t always accommodated with in regular hotels. The location was perfect, as we were in town to visit family on the mountain for the long weekend.
If there were improvements to be made it would be for parking to be included out front (closer to the entrance). To us, it didn’t make sense as to why we would be ticketed there and not in P10. In order to pull a suitcase over to P10, it involved either going an extra 2 minutes around the entire lot or lifting the baggage over the grass and curb, once the sidewalk ended. For my mom who’s in her 60s, this was less than ideal. Either way, we were happy to have parking included.

The rooms were always clean, fresh sheets, and the bed was comfortable. There was a full size fridge, which was great when packing to attend classes. (a few even had ice cube trays) There is air conditioning that you can control in the room which was great in the summer.
One time I didn't let the water run long enough to get the hot water going. (it might depend which room you are in because the other rooms after that I had great heated showers)

location and price are the best. my mom loved having her own room and the hard bed. All staff we encountered were wonderful.
for the price there isn’t really a negative.

I did not like that I was given keys to a room that someone was staying in. Very awkward and something I would never want to happen to me again

It's set up as mini apartment unlike the Homewood or Homestead suites it doesn't have burners or dishwasher but has a full size fridge an microwave small kitchen as a separate room small bathroom two bedrooms laundry room unlike the Homewood no pool or gym or free breakfast or coffee maker not a big loss at the very cheap price of $100 compared to $500 not more or less dirty than the homewoods or the homestead either or Sheraton and have pop vending machines on every floor. They have a couple cafes on property somewhere one is Tim Hortons. TVs in each of the bedrooms were about five clear channels no radio two desks two dressers one Mini bathroom. Big enough to be an apartment. Only $100
A coffee maker in each room with a little bit of free coffee or tea would make this feel like a motel most people are confused because this feels more like a college dorm. I don't enjoy the college dorm feel but it is safer than the motel feel just not all that free however the security guards keep it very safe and untrafficed with a nice view. The budget motel is $100 and it's like paying for an 1800s homeless shelter covered with vomit for the price it feels like the Homewood suites or better with separate bedrooms instead of one room with two beds. This is not for party people it's for people who want to sleep or rest. Best for non-smokers as you have to walk far off property.

I liked that the rooms had just what you needed, a place to rest, a nice desk and chair (that suited the desk) to sit at for homework. Bare essentials that were needed. Oh and to have a full size working properly fridge and freezer!!!
I wasn't aware of the hot water trick, I had a few tepid/cold showers before I asked for assistance.

Needed a place to stay, from where I could travel to my appointments, and where I could stay and catch up on some planning. Was excellent for both.
The price was excellent considering there was a dine-in kitchenette and a second bedroom. A full kitchen was just down the corridor, which I never had to use. The place is basic, but everything worked. And I always travel with coat-hangers and more.
A little walk along Fennel Ave W took me to Upper James St - turning right brought me to a plaza with the LCBO and more. Turning left took me to restaurants and pubs.
The college was closed, and the area is in the middle of housing, so very quiet.
There was a film crew in the first day I arrived. But not a problem.
Laundry requires you purchase a special card for $5, then load it up with your credit card. Rather expensive for one wash. And if they can process a credit card, should do so for a wash, rather than giving me another card to carry.
