The staff (that is, Maria at the front office desk, the only staff we saw!) was exceedingly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She was even able to change our room when a better one meeting our needs became available. The location was ideal, right on the road next to the river estuary, but the room was quiet. The beds were comfortable and the lighting good.
We wish there had been some kind of table for writing on, and setting the laptop. The bathroom was a little bit slapdash--a bathtub had obviously been removed, and shower arranged for older or disabled visitors, but the floor tiles made it very slippery. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss, but that's not the fault of the facility, since this part of the coast is known to have faulty WiFi service.

The room was close to the Russian River and I could hear the breaking waves as it met the ocean. I liked that I could come and go freely. Great advice from staff about the area. Really close to Cafe Aquatica for coffee and breakfast. đł
Pick up breakfast was fine but would have like some coffee and tea to be available in the lobbyđ. Bar of soap was very small. I had trouble finding my room as it was in a different location than the hotel. I wish that was explained to me as I arrived after dark.

We had an airy, spacious room with a comfy bed, a fireplace, and a view of the peaceful river. It was so restful! And the receptionist was extremely helpful. We were very happy with our accommodations.
Sadly the on-premises restaurant was closed during our stay. But we had a delicious dinner at River's End, a short walk away, and the inn provided a nice bag breakfast for us.

Lovely setting, spacious room, nice amenities.
Didnât realize there would be stairs, bum knee, but just went slow.

Itâs clean, the staff was nice. Itâs good for a couple that doesnât mind roughing it a bit.
Tough for family with younger kids. No nearby amenities⌠closest restaurant or store was eight miles.

The lady upgraded our room with a TV and a view at no additional cost which was nice. We really appreicated that. The breakfast in a box was a nice touch and we enjoyed that on our way back.
The facility is old and our cell phones didn't have any reception. There was no pool or jacuzzi or anything to do. We were there for about 20 minutes but the vibe of a vacation wasn't there so we decided to pack up and leave.

Location
Note this is the "Sand Dollar" room. The door was hard to open because it dragged across the uneven floor. Carpet was disgusting. Bad smell. Curtains didn't cover the windows properly. Shower head clogged. wood molding in front of shower was decaying, water pooled there. No place to plug in a phone. No air circulation. No TV!?!? seriously? In general the room looked like it was "rennovated" by a complete amateur using Home Depot quality of materials. Fire hazards - The only heat source was a portable space heater. Pretty sure this is in and of itself is not up to code in a hotel, but in addition it was placed right in front of the only egress (door) so if it did cause a fire you would be trapped in the room. In addition, it was plugged into the same outlet as the refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. That's a lot of load for one plug.

The location was nice but I thought our room was on the river but the kayaker studio is across the street. we could still see the river, and there was a garden sitting area we were allowed to use which was nice. The restaurant on the property wasnât open yet, but they were options close by
it would have been nice if our porch faced the river view instead of the back parking area.

Beautiful and peaceful. The balcony off the room was right over the water and the stars were amazing! Nice warm gas fireplace, comfy bed and soft sheets. Beautiful antique furniture. Such a gorgeous experience. No signal, which I liked. Easy to disconnect and relax without roughing it.
The tub had spa jets that didn't work nor a plug for the tub but it was big and amazing!

Multiple buildings with several rooms each. All directly on the Russian River estuary. Our deck actually was over the water - wow! Room exceptionally cozy / romantic. Very nice staff. The "Inn" is one of those smaller, tucked away, gems one finds on the northern California coast.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

The place is beautiful and refreshing, but we had issues with leakage from the roof and that made our stay very uncomfortable.
The room we stayed at was not a rentable place at all! There were multiple leakages from the roof in the room throughout our stay! By the morning the carpet was all wet.
