The building itself is beautiful, we loved the architecture and how the lobby and hallways were decorated. It was also very well located by the parts of Chicago we wanted to walk to
I had reserved a superior king room on a top floor, and we received a standard king room. I had also paid extra for air conditioning in the room, and we were not able to adjust the temperature at all, and the room was very warm during our stay. The only view we had was of the building directly next to us.

Expensive for breakfast
I did not like being upgraded to have 2 windows in my room at 40.00 per day .

I liked that the pool was open.
The room couldn’t have been cleaned better and there was no shampoo in the bathroom.

Difficult to have our room serviced - two days; hotel buffet breakfast not available most days; Business center difficult to access and use - and it was not free.

We enjoyed the large swimming pool and fitness center. The room had to bathroom which made getting ready easier. The Bell staff was very helpful.
The beds were very uncomfortable and seemed smaller than a queen size as advertised. The ac/heating did not work well and the room was very stuffy. We purchased a room on a high floor hoping for a view but had a view of the properties ac units and the back of the building. You have to make a reservation for the pool and fitness center. We would consistently wait 3-5 min for the elevator and it would always be crowded. Very slow valet.

We had the oppurtunity to have a upgrade to a room with a view. It was so nice! The location was a perfect spot. You had the view of the park and lake michigan, next to the famous Lou Malnati's, Devil Dawgs and a cute cafe called Luna.
I can say I didnt like anything. My family didnt complain either

The location.
The room rates were to high for the quality that I expected.

The Room was clean, comfy beds, view was amazing
Internet was an upcharge, the gym/pool had an upcharge, breakfast was an upcharge. For $257 (for 1 night) i figured that covered the use of basic facilities. La Quinta and other "non luxury" places dont charge for use of on site facilities and breakfast is included.

I like the fact that I had a great view of the lake
The food service, the restaurants nearby that you could order through room service

The hotel itself was lovely, the location superb and the staff was great.
The beds were terrible. After the first night I could not sleep because I hurt so badly. The rooms were small but 'fine'. We had a pretty big ant infestation in the bathroom.

Location
The staff was not on top of things. I checked in around 12 and was told check in would not be until 3 pm (which is fine, we explored the city in the mean time) but the problem was they said I would receive a text “around 3” when the room was available and that I would not need to come back in line to obtain my keys as she gave me my room keys without an assigned room at that point in time. Sure enough, 3 pm rolls around, we still do not have a room and did not receive a text and we’ve been in Chicago since 12 at that point. So, I had to wait in line and talk to the receptionist again to obtain a room and new room keys. Not to mention, other people who got there after us we’re being assigned rooms, so why did we not receive a text for a room, and why did we not get assigned a room until later that day?
The next thing, was the trouble my friend had when she simply asked for a band aid due to her getting hurt that day. The staff was extremely rude and asking her detailed questions in front of people on how she hurt herself (almost as if they didn’t believe her or something) and asked if she was hurt on the property. She replied no and they continued to ask her that same question over and over again. I just have never experienced something like that for simply requesting one band-aid. She then proceeded to ask her “what happened and how did you hurt yourself and why do you need a band-aid” in front of other guests at the hotel that were present and that should not be something a guest needs to explain when it comes to medical care especially in front of other people.
Lastly, upon check out I come down to return my room keys and requested a receipt. The receptionist then tells me they are doing an audit and cannot give out a receipt but will email it to me in the next hour. Sure enough, never got an email with a receipt. So I had to call later that day to have a receipt sent to me.

The room was spacious and comfortable and had an excellent view of the lake front
The bathroom was small with little room between the toilet and shower and not well ventilated (the upper window could not be opened)

Location
There was smoking smell.. I requested and paid for a lake view and never got it..there is 2 type of lake view rooms one is a real open lake view as described and the second is partly lake view with no privacy at all... they still charge the same for both rooms...not very ethical!

I love staying at this hotel - the location is great to get to the museum campus, Grant Park & Northery Island for concerts. I especially enjoy the pool & deck area at the fitness center
The bathroom was remodeled & clean yet no vent fan and would get quite humid

Had to call for towels the next day. Room not cleaned, had to put out my own garbage. Attendant on arrival not very pleasant but the attendant when leaving was okay.

Security at night
No microwave in the rooms. Facility/security deposit should be communicated before arrival. Cashless payment should also be made known. I traveled thousands of miles to get to the hotel for a conference and I can't access a room I booked because the hotel accepts electronic payment alone. Over a month and my money has still not been refunded

location was great, room was fine…
price for self parking…ridiculous! Small bathrooms, our view was terrible.
