Great place to stay if you're on a budget and looking to stay in the area. Comfy beds and a cool loft / lounge area to hang out in. A little bit noisy in the morning because you're in a busy part of town- so pack your ear plugs if you're wanting to sleep in

Couldn't figure out the heater on a sudden cold day.

I was there to study at the Suzzalo Library on the campus of UW, so this was perfect. The room was clean and the facilities were quiet. I barely saw any staff the entire time I was there, for a week, but the person who checked me in was very nice.
It was fine for the value. The shower set up is a bit weird - you have to walk through one to get to the other one, and hotel guest for some reason left their toiletries in the shower areas? WEIRD. But its fine.

Good location, clean room, comfy bed. Great for a couple of nights.
Windows let street noise through, hard to sleep in if you are a light sleeper.

Went to visit our son at UW. Right across the street from west campus buildings. Super convenient. Rooms are nice. Beds were comfortable. Convenient to everything on the university.
parking, as it is everywhere, is a challenge. The hotel does offer reserved spots of parking 1.5 blocks away for $12 a day.

The location was very convenient, about a block from the theatre that we were going to, and a couple of blocks from the restaurant.
There was no hot water so no showers were available, nor was there hot water to wash your hands. I'm not sure if the hot water was turned off after a certain time so guests weren't disturbed by shower noise, but there was no sign indicating this, and if this was the case there should still have been hot water available to sinks so people could use it to wash hands, particularly during cold, flu, and Covid season. There was no hot water even at 7 nor 8am, which would be a reasonable time for showers. I thought there was a small breakfast, or even just toast that would be provided but apparently not. I was very confused. I understand it's a European model and the location was optimal, but at $200 a night, no hot water was extremely disappointing and will influence my choice to go here again.

upstairs lounge, big comfortable beds! 12 minutes from UW Medicine.
the mens toilet could use an upgrade. But maybe its because of the age of the building and plumbing? If thats the case, im not complaining. i really enjoyed my stay there.

College Inn is a classic hotel right in the center of the U District. Easy bus and light rail access, good for university visitors. Very nice smallish room, good workspace.
With rooms on the 3rd floor and no stairs I can see how it would be difficult for those with heavy luggage or mobility issues.

Attended a 20 year reunion right across the street. I always loved this building and spent MANY hours eating downstairs when it was a cafe. Never in all those years saw the hotel part though until now. And it has to be the best place to stay in the UW area hands down.

Location, price, and lovely attic with free coffee and tea at all times.

Right next to UW's main campus, clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, upstairs lounge with complete kitchen. Shower curtains with prints of pandas riding orcas are amusing.
Know what you're getting. This hotel has no elevator, the bathroom's down the hall for most rooms, and the only microwave/fridge are in the suite or shared 4th-floor lounge. That was fine with me.

Good location and nice character
Bathroom facilities were old and shabby. The bed was also uncomfortable and felt old.

There was no breakfast
Bed was too soft

It’s a nice place. People attending were kind. Excelente location.
My problem was the bathroom shared, that is out of the room. However, I didn’t find somebody else in my visits to the bathroom. The room doesn’t have A/C. Both fans weren’t enough in the afternoon.

Loft room is great fir families - spacious, with couches for lounging, big enough dining room table, good cooking facilities.
The lift is pretty warm on hot days (over 80F) and the air conditioning can’t really handle it.

The shared bathrooms were impeccably clean. Room had everything we were expecting
Our neighbour decided to listen to music all night long. He had a good taste though

The hotel is quirky and fun. The loft room was spacious and unique. Beds were comfortable.
This building has no air conditioning. A portable unit was placed in our room and it helped a bit. It was still pretty warm.

The location is fantastic. We happened to be here the week after UW gradation so we parked on street no problem. Checkin was super easy and there is an after hours checkin should you arrive late. The room was great, updated but nostalgic. There was virtually no sound from the other rooms and just a little from the street. We are a family of 4 and had a 2 bedroom location, which was plenty of room. The location to buses and access to the rest of the city was wonderful. There are many college dives for eating and drinking, my husband continued to want to try them all, well past the point of no return. There are some great spots within walking distance, Burke Museum, UW library. We would easily stay here again.
Be sure to check out the shared communal floor. We didn’t do this until the last day, coffee and hot chocolate!
The windows in the rooms are gorgeous, but check the locks. Our kids wanted to sit on the bench with the windows open, but they are too rambunctious. Just a wee too easy for a little guy to slip out.
There are more people on the streets here than other spots in Seattle. There was no one camping, and no one approached us, but depending on where you’re from this might catch you off guard. We never felt unsafe though.
