Good

I liked the price for being close to the water. I really enjoyed the decor and style of the unit but there were lots of broken things that need replacement including our shower, screen door, drain in hot tub and more. Towels felt dirty, they could use some new ones. But awesome patio, really good size bed and super nice girl running the place by herself.

Great and unique stay on beautiful lake!

Property was wonderful on the lake! Room was large and bed was comfortable! We also appreciated the small fridge and microwave and large shower. Love the unique style. Highly recommend!

desperately in need of maintenance

location is great if you want to walk to the shops in town. We would have been fine outside of town, but like the convenience. room was dark, so it was easy to catch up on sleep after a long travel day.

It really needs maintenance, some furniture was broken, no ventilation in bathroom which smelled, sink dripped, connector for portable AC unit was busted, couldn’t control thermostat. there were two shirts left in a drawer and the shower curtain was disgusting. I booked without reading reviews, and it was too late to get any refund by the time I did.

Adorable and comfortable

Super cute themed rooms. Ours was leather and lace which is western themed. There is many different themed rooms here. Also location is great

The cleanliness could be better. (Do not look under the bed) BUT it's a small inn with limited employees so they do what they can in the time crunch. The room was ready at check in time and overall was great.

Pleasant

The place needs updating. It also had a jacuzzi tub, but none of the jets worked… also, the shower (which could have been amazing) had a sign on it that it didn’t work. That’s just sad when you pay a lot for a room..

Not great. I felt like i was in a dungeon. I spent $300 for a trash can

Everything. I don’t even know where to start. The whole entire room smelt like mildew. It stemmed from the bathroom. The shower curtain had mildew and mold. When I showered it smelt like mildew. When I was there apparently a car show was happening so I was abruptly awoken to a tow truck getting ready to tow my car at 6am. (right outside my room). Not a single mention was made when I checked in. I had been gone most of the days as I was photographing a two day wedding event. This is a slumlord hotel. Would not recommend. They had AC but it wasn’t even connected and left on the floor. There was moisture drip on the walls? I don’t know what it was. I saw the pics online and I thought it would be a fun place to stay but maybe they keep those rooms nice for photos only. Do not stay here.

Interior is fine. Lake views are lacking.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated in Victorian style.

The Victorian and the Art Deco rooms are on the ground floor so the lake view is limited to tiny patches between trees and neighboring banks and buildings. The rooms on the street level or on the next floor above probably have good lake views.

Disappointing

Location and rate was lower than other properties.

The property needs top-to-bottom cleaning and maintenance. Our windows were inoperable. Carpets need to be cleaned and re-stretched. The entrance is not clean and very cluttered. The lobby had laundry items stacked on tables and so on.

The decor is in poor taste, the quality of the sheets and furniture are substandard. The upkeep is shoddy.

Pleasant, comfortable retreat but sadly neglected. Less than 50 miles from Glacier National Park.

Great location, close to Flathead lake. We stayed in the “Victorian” room (a downstairs unit) in the Downtown location. The room is large and pleasant. The bathroom is large with 2 sinks and some really nice deco. Water pressure is good. There is a large walk-in closet which the staff had stocked with extra towels and where the fridge, coffee maker, ironing board and iron could be found. The room and bathroom were clean. The room has 2 queen beds. We appreciated the new, efficient and silent air conditioning unit. The walls and ceiling must be thick because we didn’t hear the other guests through walls or walking overhead. There is a bonus microwave oven which we didn’t expect. There is a cast iron table set with two chairs outside the room on a paved patio, which was great to sip wine enjoying the sunset. We were surprised by the appearance of the building which looks old and historic but fits perfectly with the surroundings.

Our first impression upon checkin in was: “oh dear, we are in a dump”. You push open the door of the hotel and where you expect to find a reception desk, there is a dusty stairway with dirty walls and peeling paint. At the top of the stairs was a harried receptionist who seems to be covering maid and other duties too. This is the only time we saw the staff. We are making allowance for Covid19 staffing shortage and didn’t expect to have the bed made or the towels changed everyday but, there are details that are hard to overlook in a hotel that styles itself 4 stars: Soap in the bathroom: there were two plastic jars of almost empty indescribable goo. One was marked conditioner but the other was a mystery (we didn’t use any). The soap for the two sinks also came in (almost empty) jars which were at least recognizable brands, but both pumps were broken. There was a toilet paper holder which could hold 3 reserve rolls. There was one roll already started and no reserve. No tissues. The paint on the ceiling just outside from the tub is cracked and peeling badly. There is a coffee maker in the room but the coffee grounds are in a large blank jar (probably filled from a large Folger’s can). Same for the creamer (almost empty). There was no sugar, no stirrers, no cups. The microwave oven sits on a shelf where its cord cannot reach the electrical outlet. (We fixed this by using one of the chairs as a stand, close to the outlet). The clothes hangers in the closet are 2 left-over dry cleaner freebies. Some of the electrical outlets have no cover. When the shower is turned on, a loud train horn sound comes on and doesn’t stop until the shower is turned off. The outside doorway is covered with cobwebs and the outside patio hasn’t been swept for days. All in all, this place is a mix of comfort with charm and terrible neglect.

A very fun experience, for a traveler or a couple looking for a special evening.

Each room has a creativity that almost exceeds the imagination. Fun visions of the owner, brought to life as a theme in each room. Very fun! And the staff are very considerate and approachable. The local area around the hotel has several great restaurants, and a local flavor that reminisces of a modern Mayberry.

Venue previously had dining facilities and was a local draw. Unfortunately this is now closed, but definitely reflects an elegant past, and would have been nice to have this operational, however, recent events have caused many course corrections.

Great little hotel in the heart of Bigfork. Very convenient to my event and to all the restaurants.

The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. I really liked the list of restaurants with prices and comments. It made finding a place to eat super easy.

There was nothing that I did not like. The hotel was in a very convenient location and the staff and facility were great.

Dirty

The room was extremely dirty. The sink thing on wall is coming off, there are no outlet covers on some walls, floors were filthy, the creamer expired in 2018!!!! There was OLD food in the fridge and NO TP! It was horrible...I wouldn't pay $25 dollars to stay there again. It could be cute..rooms need a complete makeover and someone who can clean.

Did not meet my expectations for the price

The view, the tub, shower and bed

Not good heating, cold room , staff not available other than phone, no extra toilet paper, very little shampoo, need extra garbage can, need Kleenex in the room, dirty refrigerator, need microwave in the room, dust lighting over the bed. A more convenient, safe way to enter and exit.
