The lakeside setting is fabulous and timeless, the towels were fluffy and better than expected, and the hot breakfast of french toast-pancakes and fresh berries was wonderful! Next time, we’ll plan more time for paddling and relaxing around the lake!

My family and I stayed here on our way from Acadia to Camden. I would come back to Maine just to stay at this Inn!!! I can't recommend it enough. The property is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and accommodating and breakfast is homemade and delightful! There is also a game room downstairs where we enjoyed playing ping pong and foosball. Paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks are provided for use. My husband, 6-year-old son and I enjoyed paddling out to the island on the lake and saw bald eagles nesting. My only wish is that we could've stayed longer!

The Breakfast was exceptional. Homemade Eggs Benedict, potatoes, fresh fruit ++ Great coffee.
We were able to take out a canoe and paddle around the beautiful lake, where we encountered a baby eagle in the nest & loons. Peaceful & Beautiful.
This is a very casual & relaxed experience in a Maine lodge near the coast.
We loved the unique & comfortable atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious breakfast with a homemade French toast, sausage, delicious fresh melon/fruit, yogurt and hearty coffee. The breakfast room was clean, overlooked the lake, bright and airy. Very comfortable sitting area also.
Bathroom was a little dated, but very clean and tidy. Great towels!

breakfast options were wonderful and the dining area had nice view of the lake. Beds were comfy and thermostats worked perfectly. Short dirt road to inn was well maintained.
Staff was helpful to extremely hard-of-hearing person.
Chair could've used a cushion, but a pillow on it was ok for 1 night stay.

Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, the Inn is so charming. They bring a hot breakfast out as soon as you are seated at a table in the dining room that overlooks the lake. You have free use of the canoes, kayaks, and fire pit. SUPER CLEAN!!! The Innkeepers were great.

Their breakfast is great and the Hosts are absolutely fantastic people! When they say it is lakeside... they mean what they say!! What a beautiful view!
They have canoes and kayaks to go out on the lake, and there is a small island not far off shore you can go out to and "explore"
We plan to go back.
The only thing I thought could have been better would have been the bed... BUT ... to be fair, I have never found a bed that compares to my California King that I have at home. The bed was NOT bad... it just wasn't comparable to my own bed.

Absolutely lovely location. see the *real* Downeast coast in nearby Castine and avoid the hordes at Bar Harbor for a perfect seacoast New England vacation here. Comfy beds, nice breakfast, too.
Everything was nice!t

We had a great stay. We especially loved the view on the lake and even did some kayaking. One feels like being deep in the nature but still the coast is just a short drive away. Breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was great. The surroundings were beautiful. There were 3 of us and the room was small. I think some rooms have been updated, but ours was not. The air conditioner was old and noisy. The toilet was very low which made it a little difficult to use and the vent fan in the bathroom didn't work. We opened the tilt out window which helped. Other than that we loved the setting and the hosts and staff were friendly and accommodating.
new vent fan, new air conditioner, and raised toilet.
