Ok…. loved the old Inn (for our first Inn) but wouldn’t stay here again unless they made the changes

Breakfast was just ok. Not much selection. We liked it was a big old Inn with character. It was in walking distance to the restaurant we ate at that night and a few shops. Pretty location. Cool old Inn.

I’m sorry to say I didn’t like it’s cleanliness. Our room was not clean! It smelled like a stinky old bathroom. The floor in our bathroom had dirt and hair visibly seen in all its corners. I had a wrapper behind the toilet on the floor which shows it wasn’t swept. The tub looked dirty, the glass shelf next to my sink was filthy! Dust, toothpaste, water circles. Who knows last time it was cleaned. Mirror had specks of toothpaste on it. Dresser and lamp so so dusty! I was afraid to use a Kleenex provided. I asked for a porch connecting room and got one. The porch was dirty, rickety, and dead flowers. The furniture in our room looked like everything just needed a good update. We had an old fashion blind on our door that went out to the porch that had to be rigged to keep it down at night. I could go on and on. The restaurant part was closed on our day there but after seeing the lack of cleanliness in our room, I don’t think I would have ate there. I’m sorry for such a bad rating. This beautiful old Inn needs some seriously tender loving care and some house cleaners that take their job seriously! It has such potential!!!!!

comfortable, great restaurant on site, I mean great.

The people where really kind, I mean beyond the norm. The atmosphere was antique and well appointed

The walls are thin and people aren't aware of how loud they are. I had to listen to this woman's phone conversation in the room next door. I was watching Netflix and finally turned it up really loud so she could hear it and figure out I could hear her. She got more quiet after that. Whew

Just stayed 1 night to ski nearby, would not stay again.

Restaurant off the lobby was adequate, food was pretty good.

Room walls and floors seem paper thin, you can hear everything in the whole place. Bathroom small, and shower was weird. No TVs in room, heat was hard to figure. Bed was old/uncomfortable. It is a very, very old inn and building, so I suppose some of that can be expected, but at those prices....

Very good

Old historic inn that has a great restaurant and the staff is excellent. Rooms are bare bones but bed is comfortable. No TV in rooms but I didn't come here to watch TV. Restaurant and bar have TVs if you need one.

Heat is either steam or hot water so it cycles, gets really hot then cools over time then cycles again. Once you get use to it it is fine.

Good

The continental breakfast was exactly that, scones, muffins, instant oatmeal, fruit, coffee, juice, and yogurt. The yogurt selection was nice and the containers were large and the (made-offsite) baked goods were fresh.

the public bathroom needs an update and a ventilation fan.

nice old house, beautiful decor, good restaurant, 20 min from Okemo resort, relatively reasonable price

the bed was not comfortable (too soft), it was not possible to control the temprrature in the room, it changed from too hot to too cold, without any changes from our side

Room/bathroom in need of updating! Considering lack of restaurants/taverns in immediate area, hours and food options need expanding! No TV’s in common areas/ room or ability for celebratory drinks for New Years Eve!

Would stay again if the staff took a crash course in pleasant hospitality.

Very cozy and great location to Okemo Mountain.

The rooms are very small. The manager is overwhelmed and short fused. They don’t have enough staff right now. We had to wait TWO HOURS for our dinner to come out AFTER we ordered!! 😤

Adorable Vermont B&B with local heart and cozy accommodations.

Cute, authentic Vermont B&B. Cozy fireplaces. Central to all key shops. Parking close out front. On site staff wonderful.

Exceptional

The staff was very polite and accommodating. The Inn was Beautiful. It was peaceful and relaxing which is what we wanted. We ate at the Inn's Restaurant and it was very good. We will definitely be back for sure!

The only thing I thought could have been different is the bed could have been more comfortable. We were in a room with 1 double bed. This was the only thing I thought could have been better but that's it. Everything was lovely

Great classic inn

Loved the lobby and the front porch. Room was small but suitable. The breakfast was minimal and could have been served earlier than 8, especially for coffee !

Location. Restaurant was good. The Inn was quaint. Fireplace was beautiful! Colleen is a great manager, kind an personable.

Room was quaint but small, curtains were stained and the wallpaper was starting to peel. Bathroom/shower was very tight.

Cozy and Comfortable

Very cozy and charming. Excellent shopping and food just footsteps away.

Shower drain was a bit clogged, causing water to build up. Informed the front desk and they were very apologetic.

1st B and B styled place we have stayed at and it was a winner!

we were traveling for a friends wedding and stayed for one night. it was beautiful, and comfortable !! It has been well maintained though some creeks when you walk but what do you expect from a 100+ year old building. we loved the veranda, it was so spacious and overlooking the little town of Chester. we didn’t take the time to eat at the resturante but man did the aromas smell amazing!! I would definitely stay here again.

it has character and charm. The staff is very friendly and the food smelled amazing

The Fullerton has its charm and a great location, but it is overdue for an upgrade.

The Fullerton is a classic 19th century hotel in the middle of charming Chester, close to the many attractions of the town and the region. A bonus for electric vehicle owners is the proximity of FREE charging stations around the corner,

The Inn apparently not been renovated in many, many decades. Our bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen, just 30 inches wide. And it is understaffed, so that there is often no one at the front desk. Also, the food was only fair.

Staff was great, restaurant food is good, place has great charm. Was well worth it, would definitely return.

It's a 100 year old Inn, rooms are small but quaint. Steam heat which has significant swing in temperature. No TV in rooms

Would certainly consider a return trip!

The continental breakfast included some fresh pastries. The attached restaurant was also a good value, and the three berry pie was delicious! Loved the old style historic inn, and the small village center! Hopefully, it can thrive.

The bathroom was a little small, and the room was cool overnight. They did supply an electric heater in the closet, I just never got up to plug it in!

DISAPPOINTING - WON'T RETURN OR RECOMMEND

NO TELEVISION! HAD TO WALK UP 2 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. RESTAURANT CLOSED ON MONDAY 10/5 (OUR STAY NIGHT). NEVER MENTIONED IN AD. DESK MANNED INTERMITTENTLY. LUCKY TO HAVE CAUGHT SOMEONE ON DUTY ON MONDAY. WHAT WOULD WE HAVE DONE TO GAIN ACCESS? (NEVER MENTIONED IN AD).

Quaint and cozy. Beautiful historic Inn. We loved the location for its relaxing atmosphere 😌

Room could have used a shower with more pressure and the sink didn't really have anywhere to hold toiletries, but we made do. Not a deal breaker.

Relaxing inn in the center of a small historic Vermont town.

The location was perfect and I liked the historic nature of the Inn. The Inn is in the center of a small town and it is very easy and safe to walk around the town from the hotel. The dinner we had on the front porch was very well prepared and we enjoyed it. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The manager even held breakfast for us an extra half an hour.

We realize that the Inn was a historic inn, but that being said the room we had was very small. The small room that held the shower and toilet had a 3 inch step and that is always a concern for me because my wife is very unsteady on her feet and I worried about a possible fall in the night. There was a very nice large second story porch right outside our window, but while we didn't have access to it the people in the room next door did. They sat a few feet from our window, had a few drinks and were a little loud. Luckily they did not stay up late. Request the rooms that have access to the second story porch when you make reservations if they are still available.
