Amazing

My son absolutely loves this place.. I have never been to a family fun oriented hotel all the way around. The pool, ping pong, foosball, pool table, and the absolute best… the claw machine and arcade games were a better amenity than any other I have had the pleasure to experience.. this was the first time we have been able to afford such a treat for our family for no reason at all in about 7 years.. we actually live in Cape Giradeau, so this was just a for fun stay.. incredible!

Buyer beware- pics aren’t accurate - this hotel needs a major update.

AC didn’t work in our room. Tub was dirty. Breakfast was awful. Uncomfortable bed. Poor lighting at vanity. Toilet kept running. Wall lamps hanging askew. Woman at desk was unapologetic. I’ll never stay here again.

Good value

Value for the cleanliness and the area is good.

The breakfast was poorly stocked and none of the kids channels would work i.e Disney or Nickelodeon. This makes entertaining small kids in a small room difficult. There was a random pillow with no pillowcase in the drawer in our room, but no extra pillowcases to put on it.. I took it to the front desk and asked if it was meant to be there and they said yes, when I told them it was kind of odd to have a naked pillow and no pillow case to put on it they just kind of looked at me like I was crazy..

I did not stay

Didn’t eat. Couldn’t stay . My name was on scheduled reservation but the payment I made when I set reservation wasn’t accounted for and they asked for payment . I had to cancel all my plans with my new girlfriend . Talk about embarrassing !! I would like a room comped for our troubles . We both traveled 150 miles to meet there !! Please advise asap !!

Enjoyable atmosphere, wish we had more time to experience the amenities.

I love that the atmosphere reminds me of the Old Embassy Suites. There are fountains in the dining area with a little gazebo. The pool looks great and there are billiards in the game area.

There's no elevator. We had to carry our belongings and pet cage up the stairs. The coffee was just ok. We're traveling with a trailer and got the last parking spots to fit it in.

Paid way to much for this.

Breakfast was good

The room was not the cleanest and the air vent had a inch thick of dust on it so I sneezed all night. The bed was old and worn out and not very comfortable at all. The pool was not headed so the water was too cold to even get it even when it is a inside pool..I paid way too much for this place. It definitely needs some work.

The convenience, close to hwy all the stores.

The overnight employees were rude to my husband. There were arguing in another room !! Woke us up at 11pm and went for hours. Housekeeping was helpful ! I would stay again, and I will say something to staff about the arguing if there is one next time!!

Location was great, most staff was great. It's been a really nice place, I think it's going down hill from it's former glory. I was given a break on the cost of the room due to the experience.

All the noise in the hall, the barking dog in the next room, the loud air conditioner, the light coming in the window from the hallway. The old noisy mattresses, my bare feet were filthy after walking around the room. I washed the channel guide, it was filthy. Breakfast really isn't special, okay average, the sausage patties need to be cooked longer. Obviously everything is microwaved, the milk should be stored in a proper refrigerator and the storage being used should be cleaned.

With the exceptions of a few mishaps, we would definitely return.

Breakfast was delicious! Many good choices. Dining area was well spaced to avoid having too many people close together. Poolside room was excellent, bright cheery hotel, quiet, friendly staff. Clean. Overall, excellent accommodations for our family.

There was one mishap with our stay. I paid via Booking immediately. When I checked in, hotel rep also charged my credit card. I noticed this when I was going over my charges. When we checked out the next day, the person I spoke with explained to me that those charges would eventually be released from my account, they were not and ended up being charged to my credit card, thus being in effect charged twice for the hotel room, once by Booking and once by Auburn Suites. When I attempted to contact hotel, the individual I spoke with told me it was too late to do anything, the charges had already been processed. I had to go through my bank to get the charges reversed. I am giving the person I spoke with the understanding that they may have been slightly stressed out. I also was in the first days of a Covid illness and feeling quite ill myself. I also left a very precious item by accident at the hotel and someone was to have contacted me about how to have this item returned. Never received a phone call about it after leaving my phone number with the customer service rep. As stated, I was in the early days of Covid and very ill. I do not even know if my item is still with the hotel any longer.

Breakfast was very good with several great food selections. The room was nice with a very comfortable bed.

There were a lot of "tweens" in the pool who were jumping in, throwing balls and running on the edge. That is no fault of the hotel. The blame for that is lack of parental supervision.

The staff was friendly and helpful but I would not stay here again.

Upon arriving, he said they didn’t have us booked but he said, “We have this happen so we save rooms just for this.” Our room door was to the outside which felt somewhat unsafe. The location was great for us as we were on our way to Memphis.

The room (141) smelled musty. There was dust on the bed frame, yellow stain on the bed sheet, you could see out the door crack and felt a breeze through it. We made the best of the situation.
