Very nice owner and great fish tank in the lobby. Enjoyable stay - wifi worked well. Shower good. Great to have Coffee maker in the room.
Room was clean and reasonably comfortable, but we would have preferred having more than 1 pillow per person - as we get a bit older we have gotten used to sleeping with 3 pillows per person! Which is more than we expect from a motel, but 2 per person would have really helped. We had to improvise and make pillows out of our coats and clothing.

We had an upper floor room. The staircase going up felt very rickety. Opening the door to the room , there was a very musty smell. Opened all the windows and left door open to air out. Then the bathroom - carpet?! It smelled like pee. Rather disgusting. I was never barefoot in there. Put socks on immediately after stepping out of the shower. Hesitated even getting in the tub. Clean but definitely needs reglazing. Everything in the place is bare bones. Had to go to the front desk for a hairdryer. That’s fine but at $112 a night I’d be more comfortable at a Motel 6. I’m not a fancy, fussy person but I wish we hadn’t stayed there.

The location is great. Check-in went smoothly.
It is an older place and while clean (for the most part), it is in dire need of updating, maintenance, and overall TLC. In my particular room, upon check in I was told there were some "cracked titles" in the bathroom, that were covered. However, what it actually was was the floor around the toilet is rotted and collapsing (which is making the tiles crack). I could not stand in front of the sink or use the toilet without feeling like I was going to fall through the floor. Also, the entire place, including the main lobby smells musty!
It is just not worth the $100/night price, even if it the location is great.

Fair value for the money and close to town. Considering how high accommodations can be at Mount Snow, Viking offers an affordable option. The staff were friendly.

Nice people.
Mattress needs to be turned. I felt like I was sleeping a bit downhill, with my feet higher than my head.

It was great for the price. Though the bathroom was tight.
Bathroom was tight. Definitely needs an update

The Viking is the real deal: an old motel in a nice place. The place was obviously designed and built by a person. The ambiance is wonderful. The rooms are somewhat shabby but squeaky clean.
The bathtub could have drained faster.

Adorable roadside motel, friendly staff and lots of outdoor seating.
It's an older establishment so walls and windows are very thin. This didn't bother me, but it may be difficult for light sleepers. There aren't hair dryers in each room but the motel has some at the front desk they loan & rotate out to guests that ask🙂

Cheapest place to stay in Wilmington
Rooms are very outdated. Bathroom floor was caving in. A/C is week. Bed was full not queen as advertised. Rooms are dark. TV has very limited channels.

The owners and staff were amazing. I felt welcomed and the room was clean. Nice big tv,, microwave and refrigerator. A definite plus! I loved having a place to sit on the porch and enjoy my coffee in the morning.
The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were thin. Fortunately, I always bring my own. The air-conditioner was full of dust and the toilet paper was damp. The caddy over the toilet was rusting and the shower needed some drano as it took a while for the water to drain.

We spent one night at this hotel as our son was hiking the Appalachian Trail and we would hike with him during the day, and then spend the night in a hotel. When in North Adams, it happened to be on a Saturday, and very few hotels were available. Those that were, were more than double the week day rate, so this was the most expensive hotel that we stayed in during our entire trip, and the worst! Although the beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean, and the exterior has a pleasant vibe, the carpeting (a poor choice for a bathroom to begin with) in the bathroom was ancient, and the orange carpet was totally black behind the toilet. I don't know if it was mold or just dirt--I didn't want to get that close to try and find out--but it was very unappealing.
