L'accueil, la vue exceptionnelle, l'emplacement, le calme... Restaurant, boire un verre, un café en terrasse.

La ubicació excel·lent. Una terrassa fantàstica. Personal molt agradable. Menjar molt bo. Ben comunicat.
Li falta una mica d'insonorització. Tot i així es va dormir bé.

There’s only 2 good things about this hotel:
1. The man at reception - I didn’t catch his name but he’s very welcoming and tried to accommodate all my needs.
2. The breakfast food - its fresh and tastes good compared to some other ones I’ve had in Switzerland.
The place is just not designed for backpackers and budget people who want a bed for the night.
1. The dorms are in the basement area, it feels like they put bunker beds in storage rooms and called it a dorm. I could barely fit in my room and had to turn sideways, and I have an average body type.
2. There is no safety whatsoever. The rooms can be opened by anyone, including non guests.
3. My room had no light which I found strange to not have electricity in 2024 in Western Europe.
4. I couldn’t charge my phone in my room, and instead use the common area.
5. Theres no kitchen area, only a small room with a kettle, microwave, some dishes and 1 small table. If you want to make your own dinner, you will need to eat in your room (but then again theres no space).
The staff are welcoming and friendly. But overall I would not recommend staying in the dorms here. There are better hostels in the area for the same price (Eiger Hostel or Interlaken Youth Hostel).

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out went really smoothly and I had dinner at the hotel's restaurant the day I arrived. The lady who showed me to my table (which had an amazing view of the mountains) was SOOOOO nice and helpful, she answered all my questions really well and gave some tips on eating their really good cheese fondue, which came with potatoes, bread, pickles and pickled onions. Throughout my meal, she also checked in on me occasionally to make sure I was doing okay and was so smiley throughout. The next day was Saturday and they offered free breakfast, which included if I'm not wrong: Dunkelbrot and white bread loaves, butter, blueberry and raspberry jams, chocolate spread, hard boiled eggs, fruit, coffee, hams, cheeses, juices, milk, yogurt, cornflakes, granola, and a large variety of tea! They also had a toaster so the bread was amazing after toasting it. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, especially the bread and cheeses! The restaurant is really clean and cozy overall and I really loved my experience here overall. Toilets and showers were also SUPER clean and I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and sleek the shower rooms were to be honest. They provided a top-to-toe soap which I did not use but it is nice to have :)
The dormitory rooms are not soundproof so I could hear the guests next door who were not the most considerate people and played music and videos loudly at night. It would also be better if the doors had locks on them but all the guests were really respectful of the space and people who didn't stay in my room didn't just barge in. It would be great if you could replace the curtains in the compartmented dorm rooms with solid lockable doors as well since it is a mixed gender dormitory. It would also be better if there were bedside power sockets for each bed because everyone had to go to this one corner right next to my bed where all the sockets were at to charge their stuff.

+ Location and view was fantastic . We were surrounded by snow capped mountains from all sides. Amazing place.
+ very close to the bus stop. It is also not far from grindewald train station(20 minutes walkable). But when you have luggages, try to go by bus. The bus stop is right at the hotel doorstep.
+ Breakfast was very good. Breakfast is a buffet. They have boiled eggs, bread, cheese, warm milk, cold milk, yoghurt butter, oats, corn, fruit salad , fruit juices, fruits, etc.
+ The toilets and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained..
- Room had lots of hangers and shelves to keep our things.

Kleines aber feines Frühstück.
Es war sehr ringhörig, die Nächte waren deshalb trotz Oropax leider nicht sehr erholsam.

Amazing views from the second floor shared terrace. Quick 10 minutes walk into the Main Street
Can’t fault anything, for what is essentially a backpackers, felt much more like a boutique hotel.

Great view and excellent breakfast.
Main street, just next to our room. It was at times quite loud due to the vehicles passing by.

Beautiful view from our window - I especially loved, hearing the cowbells out our window!
Friendly Staff.
Food was great.
Family room was great for the 5 of us!
Thin walls, so could hear other guests easily, but was quiet by 10 so no big deal.
Billiard room was in the smoke room and very smoky - so we couldn’t use it.
Construction going on - so half of the building had scaffolding (thankfully it didn’t bother our view from our room though) - and pounding going one while trying to nap (it was a rainy day with no visibility).

It is an amazing place with an amazing view. It's not exactly in the center but it makes it more quiet of course. So even if your room is facing the road you shouldn’t be worried as all Grindelwald is beautiful.
The staff are awesome and they help you as much as they can.
The rooms are super clean and toilets are just few steps away and so clean.
The breakfast items were various and you can have them while you enjoy the mountain view. I will be back for sure and I highly recommend this nice place to everyone.
Just need to be as quiet as you can. In the room and in the corridor

Our room opened onto the second storey terrace, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
Large room, beautiful wooden interior and good bathroom.
Friendly staff, good breakfast each morning and onsite bar/ dinner restaurant.
Bus stop at your door to the town centre and ski fields. Bus pass included in accommodation cost.
Flat pillows but otherwise this accommodation was amazing !

The hotel was lovely! It felt very cosy and warm, and we had an absolutely beautiful view out the window! The staff were very polite and accommodating. The shared bathrooms were clean and hygienic. The breakfast was also delicious and very well prepared. We would definitely recommend this place!
The location was slightly inconvenient, as it was a 20 minute walk from the station, and mostly uphill. However that was mostly fine, just something to be wary of if you suffer health conditions.

Beautiful location and nice and cozy hotel.
A little variety in breakfast would bring charms.

the view is fantastic. the hotel is in front of the bus station. the restaurant in the hotel. the very friendly staff (Jürg, Bernadette and co)

The location, staff and the fact that ist was very clean.
quite expensive considering it was more a caban in the mountains then a hotel and you could here the others in the other rooms.

That the bunk beds were not all in the same space, but rather in sub-divisions.
Too little space between bunk beds in some subdivisions.
