Off the beaten track, very relaxing

The place was easy to find, close to the beach and an easy walk to the marina and more shops. The staff were very friendly. The hotel was very interesting... loads of pictures, paintings and memorabilia. Plenty of space for parking.

The location was good but there was a lot of noise from building works very nearby.

Nice location by the sea and charming old house. AC did not cooled the room.

Quite location, close to the sea with free and locked parking. Nice beach walk just 100m from hotel.

AC was not sufficient and could not be fixed after our complaint. Bedside was not wide enough for two adults. Refrigerator was not cold to keep our water chill. No coffee maker in room. Breakfast was poor selection of choice. Not tidy of garden and poor maintenance of the pool area.

Wonderful people in a wonderful place

Amazing staff, Beautiful garden, close to a gorgeous rocky beach

Wifi was not good, but it is common for the area. Bathroom was beautiful but not very practical

Superb

Lovely hotel, quiet and very close to the sea. Delightful décor. Great walks by the seafront, and a few nice spots to dive and admire the local fish by the rocks. Indoor and outdoor tables for breakfast. Plenty of space to relax with a book and a drink. Very welcoming staff.

The continental breakfast was very nice (excellent croissants!) but not a huge variety. The only real downside was the poor internet connection. It made it difficult keeping in touch with work.

Better communication required

Cleanliness of the communal areas and rooms. Friendly staff

Out of hours check in and check out was poor due to lack of information provided. We had to pick the keys up from another hotel due to late flight arrival. No information was provided as to the location of the rooms. Property was in darkness. No water in pool!! The Hotel should have told guests before arrival. We would have booked somewhere else

Hidden Gem and wonderful place to stay.

What a lovely place to stay. Loved the Spanish villa (now a small hotel, full of character and charm). The team are amazing and they do everything they can to make your stay memorable. The beach is 2 minutes from the hotel and we spent many a happy hour walking along. You can walk to Denia from there to. I am a Celiac and the staff made sure I was looked after very well, adhering to my needs very well.

I would have liked more choice of meals in the restaurant as the menu was limited.

Beautiful room. Large balcony with sunbeds plus table and chairs overlooking pool. Great room. Fabulous aircon. Lovely polite and very helpful staff. Good parking. Stunning pool. So relaxing and tranquil. Great restraunt for all meals and drinks. Wished had booked for longer!

A perfect place to unwind

The hotel location, the staff friendliness, everything was perfect a lovely swimming pool and seating area, the outdoor dining area in amongst the trees. The location to the sea and the wonderful snorkeling opportunity from the shore. No tacky tourism in the immediate vicinity but a half an hour's walk and you were in Denia which provided all the touristy stuff you could possibly want if you so desired.

I can't think of anything, except maybe a little more vegetarian choices on the dinner menu.

Review on the sister hotel Les Rote

We were offered a change of hotel to MR les Rotes as the Racona hotel was closed because it was early in the season. It had a great pool perfect for lane swimming. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful gardens and places to relax. Our scoring and comments are based on the Les Rotes.

No tea making facilities in your room which meant no tea in bed reading a book!

Hotel with lots of charm in quiet location

We enjoyed the bijou charm of this hotel which was originally a large villa which has been tastefully converted. The breakfast was very good and could be taken either outside or in the conservatory. It is set in a small, peaceful road that leads to a rocky beach with a couple of restaurants. There is bus stop access at the top of the road for non drivers

Water leaked into room from French doors during torrential rainstorm but was dealt with quickly by staff. Electronic gates did not work sometimes

Great hotel with terrific team and food

A very welcoming hotel with a courteous and professional team. The breakfast has superb fresh fruit, fresh juice, crusty bread and great coffee and is just the right size. The location is excellent, a very short walk from a terrific rocky beach which is popular for snorkelling. The restaurants nearby are excellent, but so is the food in the hotel for which non residents book tables. Walking into Denia takes around 30 minutes, but there is a bus every hour and taxis are inexpensive.
