Very nice appartment, with beautiful garden and swimming pool, and view on the mountain. Quiet location and perfect for visiting different places in the Vosges.

This apartment is the ground floor of a house at the top of a small village in beautiful and quiet valley. It opens onto a beautiful garden, with views all around of wooded hills, a burbling brook at the bottom (fenced off) lots of places to sit and lie around, and a great swimming pool. The hosts live upstairs and were helpful and friendly without being over-attentive, and seemed to try to restrict their access to the garden (to water the plants and attend to the pool) to times when we weren't out there. The apartment itself was comfortable and well equipped. Fairly rustic in its decor and rather dark which was great for us as it stayed cool in the very hot weather. The wifi was very patchy.

At 1540 as we were travelling to the property we received a message via booking.com to say that we would be charged a 10 euro supplement if we arrived after 1600. This was very offputting, we had previously advised the owners that we were aiming to arrive at 1600, and whilst en route had let them know that we would be half an hour late. The 10 euro fine seemed very unreasonable and gave a bad impression. In fact the owners were very kind and the fine was never mentioned; we suspect that this was an error of the website technology, but it would be good to avoid it in future as it is very off putting.
