Anniversary weekend getaway

Met at the door, shown our rooms. Friendly staff. Lovely big room, bathroom was clean, hangers in the wardrobe to hang up coats. Extra blankets also in the cupboard. The long balcony stretching the length of the floor provided some views and fresh air. Appreciated the small table and chairs in the room.

No lifts, only stairs ( several sets to get to dining room). Restaurant was pricey. The long balcony is accessible to all guests on that floor so you have to keep your blinds shut as anyone can look in. The building works next door meant we parked about 1km away ( though we appreciated the free continental breakfast offered as compensation for the inconvenience.

Beautiful lodge, great location

The indoor and outdoor bar areas and accompanying German beers and schnapps

Laundry might be better located in the sauna area as previously

Excellent German wheat beer on tap & variettal selections. Good wine list.

Hotel maintenance needs improvement (the lights in our allocated room were defunct). We're moved to another room upstairs which was more spacious. Our suspicion is that being low season, staff shortage may be an issue in Thredbo.

Euro-style, cosy ski lodge, great restaurant and bar

Lisa is a great host. The lodge is an older style, European establishment with a fantastic, cosy bar and restaurant on the lower floor. Recommend.

You can't control the weather. But for a great stay when Thredbo is in good shape for ski-ing, definitely worth a stay.

Good size bed and bathroom. Good heating. Close to town centre. Decent restaurant on site. Great view from window.

Room not serviced between day one and day two. Fridge was loud. No soap or milk provided.

a great experience

staff were great. charm of the German Chalet venue and restaurant was a great experience.good value.

steep walk down/up to the Main Street/lifts. limited parking. bathroom floor easily flooded from the shower. Room was over bar/restaurant and was noisy when guests were outside having a late night drink.

The bed was comfy and our room was spacious.

The bathroom was tired and the shower curtain kept falling down. We got charged twice by mistake.

great base for a short ski trip and good for families with kids who want to put them to bed and still have access to foo

cute lodge with nice on site restaurant and bar in a great location near slopes, village square and local shuttle bus.

the room was basic and old and there was no day to day cleaning services.

Great staff, location and meals. Good to have a spot to unload and bus shuttle bus is out the front.

Good location with easy access, there was not parking onsite but the shuttle bus stops at the door so access was easy. Good restaurant and the breakfast was a perfect to start the day. Really enjoyed the bar of an evening.

Room was next to the restaurant so a little noisey some nights but not too late.

The cleanliness in our room and changing the mattress also was lots of dust under the beds It was not that great for what we paid

Overall great stay in the village and the staff are great.

Loved the location, love the restaurant and bar area. And the staff are great. Also the Thredbo shuttle makes it really easy to go to the ski lifts with gear on. It comes every few minutes.

Probably the price per night and cleanliness in the room bathrooms could have been improved but they did fix is straight away.

location within Thredbo is convienient, nothing else positive to report

far to noisy, not able to get sleep until bar closes around midnight. Beds in room 1 belong in a doll house. Bathroom is so small you can't get changed in it. No parking close to lodge
