The location was excellent, as I was visiting family nearby. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was cooked just to my liking and was very filling, making a good start to the day.

Choice and quality of breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were very accommodating. Room was excellent and very comfortable and quiet.

The School House is the best B&B we have visited. It is a charming property, retaining the character of the School House, with wonderful nods to it's past. Gary and Helen were perfect hosts; Gary kindly showing us to our huge room and confirming breakfast arrangements. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, with lots of attention to detail. The location was perfect, as we were attending a party in nearby Hatton. We even had time for a pre-party drink at the Cat & Lion, conveniently located across the road! Helen greeted us for breakfast in the dining room, which had a lovely relaxing ambiance. Our choices for breakfast were served whilst hot, with the poached eggs cooked to perfection. After gathering our bags, we sadly left The School House and it's amazing hosts, Gary and Helen.

We really could not fault The School House or our hosts, Gary and Helen. As I am originally from Warrington, I knew exactly where The School House was located on the junction. Gary and Helen advise you of this on booking, so it was easy to navigate and park.

Very charming B&B near Arley Hall and Gardens (about a 10 minute drive), which currently is also hosting the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience, so the B&B is very conveniently located for people who are planning to attend the exhibition. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room was small but clean, warm and had what was needed for my stay. I liked the bottle of water provided each day. WiFi was good and there was a plug socket near the mirror to dry your hair... a small thing but important to me. The pub across the road was handy for dinner.

I was on the front of the property, and it was on a main A road with lots of traffic. I hadn't thought about this when I booked. The double glazing didn't block out the noise which went on until late and started again at about 5:00am. I put my earbuds in and had my iPad on low all night, but I could still hear the traffic. I asked to move but it wasn't possible. I was shattered after my 2 night's stay. If you're not troubled by road noise, you will likely have a pleasant stay but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms were nice and overall the property was clean and comfortable.

Just didnt like the reception we received. Overall unpleasant and not very welcoming. We asked the lady if our 2 year old daughter could play with the display teddy's at reception but she said no she rather not as those were meant for display only. Our daughter would have just fondled and returned them. Her response was cold and maybe she just wasnt having a very good day. We had limited interaction with her as she showed us the rooms and gave us the keys but we just didnt feel welcome at all!
