Disappointing stay

The breakfast was good.and plentiful. Our requests were accomodated. The lady who primarily served us was very pleasant. The breakfast area was spacious and lovely. The location was attractive and pleasantly rustic.

The main negative was the room. It was very very small and disappointing. It was cramped lacked coffee making supplies, fridge, tv microwave. The carpets didn't seem clean. It was a very disappointing room. There was no water provided though glasses were provided so tap water was available in the bathroom. There was no coffee or other drink in reception area either except at breakfast.

Excellent Inn stay in Vermont

This is not a “cookie cutter” hotel/motel/Inn similar to a Hilton , a Marriott or a Holiday Inn . This is a 200 year old Inn that has character and great charm . From the moment you drive into the parking lot and come through the front door you will appreciate the difference. Reception is friendly , personal and comfortable. The reception area reminds you of the Inns that you saw in the movies of bygone years . The staff is helpful and cheerful . Our room , #10 , had three windows for light , a very comfortable 4 poster bed , 2 comfortable wingback chairs, and had A/C plus a ceiling fan as well as iron , ironing board , small personal fan and everything that you might need . The bath was bright and compact in typical Inn fashion with all necessary equipment as well as toiletries . Nice common lounge was right next to our room for meeting with friends and relatives . Breakfast was very good with home made muffins/ scones , made to order local fresh eggs or pancakes plus fresh fruit . All in all a very complete breakfast . There is a restaurant/ pub on site but we were unable to avail ourselves of it. It looked very nice with indoor and outdoor dining available . WiFi was good in our room . Will definitely return when in the area

Disappointing and uncomfortable stay

Cute garden, good breakfast and friendly morning staff

The bed was horrific, the mattress was worn out (it had hollows and we were sinking), as well as the bed frame. The building is old and historic and we appreciate that, but for that price range I expected a much better bedding. Also, the shower head in room 7 was not adjustable and sending water towards our head (not body), which was really unpleasant. I notified a guest complaining about that a year ago already, and obviously that comment had not been taken into account. Also, I needed assistance after 8 PM and could not find a single staff member in the hotel available to held (nor phone number I could reach, nor any instruction for that matter). Again, I was disappointed by the service for that price range.

Very pleased, recommended and we will stay here again.

Breakfast is included and was excellent. In fact all food here is beyond expectations. The restaurant is a main feature, and food was always a treat.

Wonderful, yet very uncomfortable at the exact same time….

Beautiful Inn, outstanding interiors of inn and rooms, staff exceptional, restaurant fabulous.

I couldn’t control the heat in my room, and it was way below what I find comfortable. I had a beautiful spa tub that I desperately wanted to use, but the hot water - no matter what time of day - was merely just above body temperature warm - no hot water. Very disappointing for me, as my trip was for spending quiet down time in a cozy, warm, comfy room and enjoying hot baths (was why I booked the spa bath room). Lovely place, but lack of both these things took away the pleasure of it for me. So sad, everything else was wonderful.

Best scones of my life

Very quaint old building originally built in 1774!!! The BEST breakfast I've ever had (scones and pancakes). Very clean. Staff was great. Would highly recommend.

Nothing. Was great. We had a room with a smaller shower that would be difficult if you were unhealthy/obese.

A great night sleep and the best scones i’ve had in along time!

comfy bed, charming decor, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good water pressure and hot water. the entire property is extremely clean and well cared for. would definitely return.

only thing to mention was getting in and out of the claw foot tub was a bit treacherous. if you are short, unsteady or have trouble with mobility you might struggle to get out of tub safely. (no separate shower or handrail.) And of course old buildings have creaky floors, so we could hear people walking down the hall. But overall it was pretty quiet.

Excellent and out of the ordinary. We will definitely return!

A wonderful place! Beautiful room, great staff, so cosy and homey. It's rare to find this kind of inn with such a wonderful atmosphere. Great home-cooked breakfast. Fireplace. I highly recommend the Waybury Inn.

The shower could have been a bit hotter.

Exceptional

The breakfast was exceptional. Served by a friendly hostess, lovely room with a view. The food itself was very tasty and better than standard fare. Our bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and functional. We were looking for a Vermont style Inn and we found this place on line. We know of the Bob Newhart show and this is what inspired us to book the Warbury. We are from western Canada and traveled the Canadian Maritime provinces and the US New England states. This Inn was one of our most cherished memories.

Exceptional

This was a great location to explore the surrounding area. We stayed 4 nights. The room are cozy, the staff friendly, and the food fantastic. If you don't want to stay there, be sure to book a rsv for dinner or stop in the pub for an area brew and a bite.

You've got to stay here.

Where to start...the staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful. The Inn itself is beautiful and wonderfully located in the country side. The food was absolutely incredible and priced reasonably. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Very very clean. It was peaceful and restful. Everything you would want in a Vermont country inn.

Coffee wasn't put out until 7:30 which was literally the only thing that I could even write here.
