great location, gorgeous and clean space, but comes with rats! so unfortunate that the communication and treatment from the management was so blase about it all. bummed.

I gave this property a low rating because of the rat problem. There was a lot of moving around above our heads while in the bedrooms. This forced 2 people in our party to sleep in the living room for 2 nights. I called the manager and reported the problem and she did send someone out to take care of the situation. It was obvious to us this is an ongoing problem in this property because there were traps already set in the rafters overhead in the living room.
You can imagine how we all felt knowing that!
Another negative was the lock on the front door - easy to lock from inside but very difficult to lock when leaving for the day, so we left it unlocked.
Also, there should be a covering on the window in the master bathroom and the door in that bathroom that leads to the outside patio does not close/lock.
All of that being said, the unit was clean and very conveniently located.

Really enjoyed this place. It was a block and a half to downtown Avalon and the house was very relaxing and accomodating.

The weather did not cooperate for our trip, due to unusual California rain. The proximity to restaurants, groceries, shopping & the Ferry was very much appreciated! Easy walk to the golf cart rental too. We appreciated the cozy open floor plan with a gas fireplace! Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the designer touches, really pretty place. The large sectional and dining table had plenty of room for our group. Host was very responsive throughout the trip when we had questions. Loved Avalon, would love to come back when the sun is shining!

This is an ideal location in town. The place is very nice with a large open central area to enjoy with family. The rooms are small, but that is not a problem since the central area has so much room and places to hang out. The place was recently renovated and still needs some work. The water pressure is not that great and the kitchen sink was a cold dribble at best. The appliances are new and work great if you are planning on cooking while there. I would stay there again.

It’s rare that a place actually delivers a heck of a lot more than you ever expected, but that was our experience here. Perfectly located downtown, close to restaurants, shopping, golf and the waterfront. Love the layout, accommodated our group perfectly, we will be back again next year.

Beautiful, great location
We had a fabulous time in this beautiful beach retreat. The updated kitchen and bathrooms are gorgeous. We look forward to staying here again.

Location is fantastic. This is the upstairs half of the house. The updates were nice and the vaulted ceilings and skylights made the great room layout feel even larger.

Great Island Home
The location is fantastic. This is the upstairs half of the building. The renovations are nice, but the vaulted ceilings and skylights make the great room the best part of the home. A few renovations were not perfect in the bathrooms and the wood floors needed some extra cleaning, but overall it is clean and worth the price.

The property is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The location is ideal for shopping, beaches and restaurants There is grocery store a couple of blocks away for easy access to supplies. The location of the property is ideal but at times the road noise can get a little loud but quiets down in the evening.

The property is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The location is ideal for shopping, beaches and restaurants There is grocery store a couple of blocks away for easy access to supplies. The location of the property is ideal but at times the road noise can get a little loud but quiets down in the evening. Looking forward to a return trip!

The home was very close to the water and Vons. It was decorated well but the two main issues were the wood floors were very dirty (I notified the manager and sent pics of our black feet-no response) and they did not leave the wifi code. It took 3 emails and 2 phone calls to get it a day later and since we were working remotely this was a big problem. Lastly given we were having issues, I was a bit put out the owner texted me and asked for us to bring their watch charger to the front door and they would meet us. I felt our issues were not handled well and that was not the most appropriate request for guests in their home. We got a bad vibe overall and would never stay there again. Try somewhere else...

Agree with past reviews that the front room can be noisy (mostly from golf carts/small cars on the road outside), but fortunately the bedrooms are not. A window on the stairwell was also open when we arrived, and wouldn't close. But the biggest issue was that we had no hot water the first night. The property manager was very helpful, responded right away, and came to reset the hot water heater, but unfortunately we never got more than a lukewarm temperature. This definitely needs longer-term fixing!! Overall, we had a positive experience and enjoyed the property (location, decor, etc.).
