About this cottage rental
Christmas cottage has been recently restored with a Vintage style theme. Real open fire, as-well as gas heating, perfect for those cold winter and spring evenings and not forgetting those lovely romantic summer nights. The cottages are situated in private gated complex with private parking. Perfect for walking Mountain biking fishing golf everything on your doorstep. We have a fully equipped Kitchen and everything you will need should you decide to bring along your own food. We have also introduce a midweek deal Monday to Thursday £300 all in available until the 1st June 2016. One or two night deals are also available please ask for quotation. One small well-behaved dog is welcome charges apply +£35 Per stay. Rules apply ...... no dogs are to be left alone in the Cottages upstairs or on the furniture. We do not accept credit cards or cheques. There is also a on-site store were you will be able to fully stock your holiday. You are right in the open country you guys in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean perfect for the outdoor enthusiast. Come and check out the location where are Star Wars Harry Potter and numerous other filming events has taken place. It's all here guys. The cottage is fully equipped with everything that you will need for your perfect break, free Wi-Fi private parking bed linen, and a free welcome pack on arrival. Supplement charges for 1 & 2 night stays and festive breaks may apply A £30 pet fee applies per stay See you guys soon.

Christmas cottage was just perfect for me and my husband between Christmas and New Year. When we arrived the cottage was warm with a lovely Christmas Tree in the living room. All rooms are very tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. Lovely comfortable bed too. It rained every day but it didnt matter,as we were perfectly happy to stay in our super cozy cottage with our two doggys, going out for the occasional walk. David (the host) came to see us and what a lovely man he is. Made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were due to come home on New Years Day but David said we could sray on another night free of charge. How generous is that? Thankyou David abd AJ for letting us have the pleasure of staying at Christmas Cottage. Thoroughly reccommed

Very impressed with the property.Everything in the cottage was clean,tidy and fairly new. David and AJ were both very welcoming and friendly. Ideally suited for our needs being 10 mins away from the forest of dean where we had 2 days cycling.we enjoyed our stay so much we hope to use the cottage again in the future.

Lovely little cottage, perfect for travelling around the Forest of Dean area.
Suitable for a small of four with young children and it was lovely to come back after long days out.
Only thing I would say is that the kettle needed a good clean and certain areas missed from cobwebs. Otherwise cosy and clean.

Lovely & cosy
We stayed in the cottage for w long weekend at half term. Really enjoyed our stay, from the host himself David, who made sure we had everything we needed at all times, through to all the walks and sightseeing we did (again - thank you David for all the ideas 👍) and the actual cottage which ticked all the boxes for us. Highly recommended, you will not it be disappointed!

Beautifully furnished in great location
This is a cracking cottage in a perfect location for exploring South Wales, Somerset and Gloucestershire. Gloucester is 25 mins one way and Chepstow same the other way. Both lovely old towns. One pub in the village but virtually every village around has one doing food. Friendly owner is on hand if you need him with lots of good tips about where to visit and where to eat. I'll be recommending to family and friends.

Very well equipped and cosy cottage in a lovely location. Local shop and fish and chip shop could not be more convenient. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Nice short break.
Lovely little cottage, perfect for a long weekend break or a full 2 week holiday if required. The cottage itself is fully equipped for every need and centrally located on the High Street. Blakeney itself is very quiet, but the local pub which is a 10 min walk away serves great pub grub in a friendly atmosphere and the local chippy which is fantastic is right on the doorstep. It is a perfect location for visiting the surrounding areas and the Forest of Dean is right on the doorstep as well. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for home comforts within a property, at a very reasonable price.

Lovely clean, well equipped cottage. A good base for day trips. The chippy round the corner is fantastic. David and Angie were friendly - welcomed us & gave us tips for eating out. Good relaxing week. Would definitely recommend.

A Gem in Blackney
We stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter holidays and was just what we needed, beautiful setting and all you could possibly need , the cottage was fully equipped with everything you could want for a perfect stay.
The surroundings are perfect and The Forest of Dean is on your doorstep.
David and Angie are lovely and were very helpful with ideas for outings.
Will definitely be returning.

Totally chilled out
This cottage was perfect. We pitched up on Friday evening and the cottage was warm and welcoming. Dave and Angie were lovely and gave great tips for forest walks with our dog. The cottage was brilliantly equipped and we really did not want to leave! Hoping to return soon as it is a great area to explore.

Very well finished and cosy cottage. Close to local shop, chippy and restaurant. Great base for exploring the local attractions with welcoming owner. Would recommend.
Only work of warning is entrance to the complex is tight for larger vehicles particularly getting out but I was warned about this in advance!

beautiful cottage in convenient location
The cottage was very quaint and very well equipped. On our arrival there were candles burning and relaxing music playing, a very pleasant start to our weekend. Parking was in a courtyard protected by double wooden gates. Ideal for securely storing bicycles. Blakeney is an ideal location for exploring the forest of Dean. We would definitely come again.

Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage with all the comforts of home
3 of us stayed here for a couple of days and we absolutely loved it. The cottage is furnished and decorated to a high standard and clearly a lot of thought has gone into kitting the cottage out.
We were made to feel very welcome by David, the owner, who was there to greet us. He was also very informative about things to do in the local area, which we found very helpful.
We were only there for 2 days, we could have easily stayed longer. Most definitely would recommend and hope to re-visit in the not too distant future.

A hidden secret gem
A positively charming cottage with all amenities and lots of very thoughtful extras provided, the interior has quality bedding and towels and the kitchen is equipped with all you will need and more....
The owner is hospitable and is close by to offer information on the area and activities available.
