An Exquisite Experience and Perfect Stay

First of all, I should say that we had a perfect stay at Mara Explorer Camp. My wife had her reservations towards safari camping, but our stay and experience were so fulfilling thanks to everyone at Mara Explorer that even she was so happy that we did this :). All of the people and staff at the camp were all welcoming and helpful, they made our day, especially, Lawrence, Dominic and Bonface. Our chefs were so talented and everything we ate was so good. Our game drives and Dominic were exquisite, thanks to him we got to see almost all of the thrilling wildlife. Thanks for this incredible 3 nights and 4 full days.

Amazing African safari

Amazing team, facilities and location. 5 minutes from Mara Olekiombo airstrip. We staid 3 nights, saw 4 of the big 5 (Rhino is the reason we gotta go back). Exceptional food and game drives with Michael. Geoffrey and his team are top notch. Highly recommend!

We had a very memorable trip and were blown away by the hospitality provided.

The meals were great and the included safaris were amazing. All the staff were excellent. The camp is only 3 minutes from the air strip which is perfect.

The Linens seemed worn and should be replaced. Power is only available from 5 -9am and 5-9pm. Also the water is very hard and smelled like rust.

Just magnificent!!

The staff and rooms were superb, the food was the best I’d had in Kenya and I’ve eaten in all the top restaurants. The site is beautifully tucked away with great views of the river. Great game guide as well.

everything from safaridrives with Dominique to food and luxury tent- perfect location

would advice to provide the right telephone number- it is not easy to find the camp, so a contact number would be helpfull

I've been to the Masaai Mara many times, but the stay at Masaai Explorer Tented Camp is the best

Superb staff service including meals & menu, we saw about 40 lions, a zebra kill, a leopard, plenty other animals and tented facilities top class.

Absolutely fantastic, far exceeded our expectations. That you to all the staff!

The staff were amazing, all very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic, all a la carte and all delicious! We loved every second of this trip and won't hesitate to book again. Special thanks to our guide Paul, who did a fantastic job. He has so much knowledge of the area and of the animals. He seamed to be able to track animals down before anyone other guides knew about them.

A truly great safari experience.

A fabulous place to stay for a safari experience. The staff made our stay very special and certainly contributed to the experience. Game drives with Dominic exceptional, a very knowledgeable and friendly guy. The Camp staff from Geofrey the manager to the security staff could not have done more to make our stay so memorable. We will definitely return one day as we consider these people friends after such a great stay.

Most beautiful lodge with amazing staff

The staff were truly amazing, mary, Samson, kenne, joshuat, kaka, samuel and John. They treated us like family, they bent backwards for us and arranged drinks in the mara with so many added surprises it was beautiful. Samson our guide was a gem, he showed us so many things and never gave up on finding all of the animals we saw so many with him. He was so good natured and kind. Mary was our host she was so considerate and remembered our drink orders and requirements and arranged a special cake for our anniversary. Kenne our waiter was so attentive and fun, joshuat our chef cooked everything to perfection the beef will remain in my heart forever. Kaka and John our guards and Samuel who cleaned our room. The site itself was so close to the airport and we can see hippos elephant and giraffe from the tent by the river.

The most amazing staff and property has insane views of the hippos over the river

Everything - especially the staff they made the stay exceptional kind helpful could not do enough for us. They surprised us with a special sundowner at the end of our stay just to be kind they really did go above and beyond. The food was always delicious with ample choice the chef really was so so great. Dominic our guide for the game drives has vast knowledge every question we asked him he knew the answer to and he drove us far and wide around the park so we could see as many animals as possible. We got to see elephants lions crocodiles hippos to name a few really was the most surreal experience. Geoffrey the manager is the most conscientious kind polite guy always ensuring we were happy and had everything we needed - which we did at all times. Our tent was tastefully decorated comfortable bed clean fresh towels and bedding. We would go to breakfast and our tent had been cleaned and bed made before we had got back to head off to our game drive within 30 minutes so punctual. Considering your staying in the middle of the wilderness quite literally it felt like home Thank you so much to everyone at Mara Explorer we can’t wait to come back.

The camp is clean and in an awesome spot.It's one of the best places to be while touring the great Mara

I didn't like the way they were responding when you call to inquire about something before Check-in.Sometimes you ask kind questions and they'll reply like they don't want to answer.

Best place in Masai Mara!

Mara explorer was amazing! All the employees are phenomenal. The rooms are in the center of the park with a beautiful river view and private feel. The food from the chef is always tasty and fancy. Our tour guide Samson was super nice, accommodating, knowledgeable, and always found great things for us to see. At camp Geoffrey the manager always helped us organized everything to perfection and Collins attended us with great care at the restaurant and room service. The rest of the crew was always great and they took care of us like family! Look no further and book this place, it will not disappoint you!

The location is excellent, being positioned at a bend on the River Talek. The staff and the service they provided made the stay at the Camp exceptional!

Exceptional

Excellent location that we can see hippos and crocodiles in front of our room, even giraffes if lucky enough. Staff were really great and we love the safari guide-Paul Kirui and the nice manager- Mary Kate, because we nearly had surprise everyday. The foods were awesome as well, almost the best meal during our holidays in Kenya.
