Great place to stay for an authentic Madrid neighborhood experience and just minutes away by foot from the very popular and ever so busy Sol-Tirso de Molina-Anton Martin triangle. Very quiet place which was most important for us. As an American who lived in Madrid for 10 years, I can highly recommend. Plus, Cipri is a very helpful and nice guy!

First, the host: Cipri is the man! He is the owner of the apartment and he is very proud of his apartment. He is honest, diligent and attentive and he is always ready to help with recommendations and to solve any doubts . He is, in addition, very flexible to adapt to the guest’s scheduling needs if possible . He waited for us on the steeet at the entrance (in the middle if a nasty heatwave) , helped us with the suitcases, showed us the apartment and explained us everything . He was always available and when checking out he allowed us to leave the apartment in the afternoon to fit our schedule . In short, the nicest and most professional host you can find . Moving on to the apartment, it is exactly as the pictures showed. Everything is new and decorated in a modern taste. Great fridge , nice washer machine and , most important, it has an a/c unit that saved our lives . The apartment is small but more than enough for our family of four (two adults, two teenagers) . It is a walk-up located on the second floor (third in the us) and you have to climb four flights up . Not a big deal for us. It is at the back of a quaint building, which makes the apartment quiet, and it has Two real separate bedrooms (one with a very comfortable bunk bed, according to what I heard, the other with a comfortable double bed ). Both have closets to put away luggage , which comes handy in the cozy apartment. Yes, the bedrooms are small but adequate to sleep after a busy tourist day. The rest of the apartment is a common space where you can cook, eat, watch tv, use the wi-fi or just relax in a very comfortable sofa , which, I assume , is large enough and can be converted into a bed. The bathroom was spotless and the water pressure and temperature were amazing . The apartment is not large but more than adequate for the visit The area is in lavapies , with has a multicultural and edgy vibe with tons of bars and restaurants , with plenty of supermarkets around , very safe and very convenient to Atocha stations. There are bus lines around the corner on the avenue and it is located a mere three minute walk from two different subway stations . It is also within walking distance (20 minutes or so) of some of Madrid main sights . In short , an excellent stay, everything worked well, everybody was happy Over all, the experience was enhaced by a very nice and exceptional host . We will return for sure . There was a pipe rupture in the appartment upstair. We need to evacuate the premises and look for another place. Not a good experience. Cipriano helped us and we canceled the reservation. Money was refunded.

We found the apartment manager helpful in every way. The check in and departure both went smoothly. The apartment was in a good neighborhood and close to the Atocha train station and the express bus to the Madrid airport. The apartment was clean and well supplied. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was functional, but was only used to circulate the existing air. The bathroom was also clean and well supplied, and had plenty of hot water. James of Muskogee

Very nice apartment, located between two subway stations. Lavapies is a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants. Cipri is a excellent host, with good ideas (flamenco!!), and quickly to respond. Thank you!

My mother and I decided to visit Madrid in January and as our first time in the city, we did not know where to stay. I searched for many places on VRBO but I booked with Cipriano because of the many positive reviews about his place and himself. Cipriano is an excellent host and his place is perfect. Apartment: He has a very beautiful and clean apartment in Lavapies. The apartment has 2 rooms (1 with one bed and the other one with bunk beds). The apartment is cozy and has all of the amenities needed. The kitchen has all of the tools necessary including coffee, sugar, tea, olive oil, salt etc. There are two metro stations super close to the apartment and two groceries stores. The neighborhood is diverse and safe and there are many restaurant within walking distance. You can take the metro to the Plaza Mayor or you can walk. We did both. We also walked to the Reina Sofia Museum and Atocha Train station. The host: Cipriano is excellent. He communicated with me from the beginning. When I made the reservation, he said he was going to contact me a few days before the visit. Sure enough, he did through Wastup. He told me that he was not going to be in Madrid to greet me on the day of my arrival (I guess he does it with all visitors) but he made sure his friend was there to give us the keys and show us around. During the visit, I had a question regarding the heater and he came over to the apartment to show me how it works. He also showed me how other appliances worked and chat with us for a while. He gave me a list of restaurant recommendations and places to visit and he made sure that our stay was comfortable. My mother and I had an excellent time here and highly recommend his place.

Cipri was a fantastic host. He patiently waited for us while we struggled to find our way around Madrid in a rental car. He helped us get Ave train tickets round trip for Toledo and dropped the printed tickets off for us at our place. He quickly responded to all inquiries and you can imagine four women traveling together for the first time in Spain having a few questions! Thank you Cipri for your kindness and help!

Cipri gave us great suggestions on food & culture. He was available and friendly. The apartment was extremely clean and quiet, a wonderful neighborhood. We walked to all the museums and historic sites. Would definitely return.

Cipri was an awesome host, he had many recommendations for places to eat and see in the neighborhood and answered all of my questions promptly after asked. The location is great, very close to two metro stations. There is also a convenient 24hr grocery store around the corner. The apartment was clean and had an air conditioning unit in the living room that kept the entire apartment cool (which was well appreciated after being in the crazy heat Madrid had in July).

Great find! Plenty of room for my family of 4 (my kids loved the bunk beds!) and includes all the necessities, plus a super convenient location for seeing all the sights. Within a short (5min) walk of at least 3 grocery stores, 10-15 min walk from Atocha (with suitcases, probably less without), just a couple blocks form Lavapies, Retiro park - everything! Host was attentive, and gave us some great recommendations. Check in and check out went smoothly. We were only there for three nights this time but I would definitely stay there again.

Apartment was clean and well furnished. Location is very central, only 10-15 minutes to train station Atocha on foot, few minutes more to Prado. Host Cipri was always responsive to our requests (we used WhatsApp text to communicate). We had a wonderful time in Madrid.

This is a large two-bedroom apartment, clean and attractive. Located in central Madrid and within walking distance of all the main attractions. Apartment replete with convenient features and amenities. Owner Cipri was friendly, spoke good English, and gave us a thorough orientation of the apartment. He responded promptly to an issue we had with the keys.

First of all, Cipri, the owner, was always available to answer any questions, was quick to reply and very friendly. The apartment was in an ideal location, close to the train station and within walking distance of most of the sights we wanted to see in Madrid. Despite being so central it was extremely quiet and we slept very well. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. I would definitely recommend it.

Cipri was great. Very responsive and helpful. The apartment is in perfect location, walkable to many museums and Buen Retiro Park and also very close to metro and a 24 hr grocery store. We had a lovely time and highly recommend!

The property is located in a nice and private area in the center of Madrid near to the most important places to visit and to the Atocha Renfe station. Very clean, comfortable with all the necessary for our visit. This trip was a wonderful experience but the most relevant thing is the attention of details that the owner Cipri has with every customer, guiding us at all times to the city places for dinner and tourism. He even made a reservation for our family for a tablao that was expectacular. We would highly recommend this apartment and his owner. Will see you again Cipri in our futures visits to Madrid.

This is an outstanding place to stay in the Heart of Madrid. Clean, comfortable and well located close to metro stops which means you can get anywhere from here. Landlord, Cipri is awesome. He arranged private parking for part of our stay. He was very helpful. The apartment has everything you need, even a clothes washer. We were able to cook some meals and use the fridge for snack storage. Stores close. We stayed several days in Madrid and this worked out perfect. Would do it again. Thanks Cipri.

This is a clean, bright, comfortable home away from home. It's in a great location - right near a metro station - and comfortably away from some of the most touristy areas of Madrid. There's a bunk bed for two in one room, and queen size bed in the other room. The kitchen area/living room is compact but sufficient for our needs. A wonderful supermarket is about 2-3 blocks away. The best part of all was our wonderful, helpful, generous host, Cipro. He is extremely responsive to all chats or calls, and checked in frequently to see that we had everything we needed. He reserved a front-row seat for my daughter and I at a terrific flamenco place a few blocks away, and gave us many tips about local places. For me, the quality of the host is even more important than the place itself. In this case, both were great. Highly recommend.

Very nice unit. Cipri was a great host, attentive and helpful. The place is small by American standards and feels a bit cramped, but cozy and comfortable if that's ok with you.

Mr. Arquero is a superb host. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and functional. It is located in a quiet, but vibrant part of the city. Most areas of central Madrid can be reached in 15-20 minutes, either on foot or by Metro. Should I return to Madrid, I would hope to stay there again.
