Nestled in Alcossebre, this lovely condo for $135 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Spanish Sunrise Recently freshly decorated and set in a small and exclusive gated complex, with its own sizeable private garden, the apartment is located only 100 metres from the Playa/Cala del Moro twin beaches. This stunning ground floor garden apartment offers a large private garden area with large terrace, ideal for eating and enjoying the balmy evenings, and also communal pool and gardens. Local restaurants, bars and supermarket are just a minute away. Close by there is a scenic beachfront wooden walkway to Alcossebre town. The air-conditioned interior has a master bedroom with king-sized bed and en-suite shower room. There is a second twin bedroom and a separate shower room. The sizeable living/dining room is tiled and has TV and DVD/CD/Radio entertainment system. A luxury fitted kitchen features ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dish washer, kettle, toaster and iron. Parking is within a large, secure individual private garage in the gated underground parking area. Ryanair now have scheduled flights from London Stansted and Bristol airports to the new Castellon airport which is just 25 minutes from the apartment. Alcossebre is a small seaside town in the Valencian Community located just north of the city of Castellón between Barcelona and Valencia. It is on the Costa del Azahar (the Orange Blossom Coast) along the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain in the province of Castellón. Along with close neighbouring Capicorb (Cap i Corp) just to the south and Las Fuentes just to the north, this town falls within the municipal limits of Alcala de Xivert. There is also easy access to the larger towns of Peniscola to the north and Torreblanca to the south - both around 15 minutes away by car. Alcossebre is a popular tourist destination for the Spanish population and, unlike many other Spanish coastal towns, is unspoiled by very large or high rise buildings and the excesses of uncontrolled tourism. This small coastal town is located at the southern end of the Serra d'Irta National Park, with ten kilometres of coastline featuring high quality EC Blue Flag listed beaches and a variety of other unspoiled sandy beaches and rocky coves. There are four main Blue flag quality accredited beaches: Playa Carregador, Playa Romana, Playa Del Moro and Playa Tropicana, the latter shared with Capicorb. There are also three coves: Tres Playas, a set of three rocky bays separated by rocky formations, Cala del Moro (our favourite beach which is secluded even in August), which is separated from the beach with the same name, Playa del Moro, by a small dune and finally the Cala Blanca which is located near the lighthouse. The nearest of these beaches to the apartment, the twin beaches of Cala del Moro (a quiet shingle cove) and Playa del Moro (a popular sandy beach), are less than a minute's walk and just 50 metres from the apartment, with Playa Romana and Tres Playas also a short walk away within 200 metres of the apartment. Alcossebre has a unique and very scenic palm-fringed pathway and wooden boardwalk (Camino De Atall) which carries pedestrians over the protected dunes and along the edge of the beaches into the town, with a variety of bars and restaurants to stop at on the way. Pedallos, canoes, sailing boats, beach chairs and parasols are all available for hire at the local beaches. Playa Romana is also equipped with beach volleyball and beach football facilities. The Columbretes Islands lie far off the coast, can be seen in the distance in clear weather and can be visited by boat. The islands are teaming with marine life and ideal for diving. Not only is the local beach within a 1 minute walk of the apartment, but also the local supermarket, restaurants and bars are similarly close by. In the town there is an English speaking GP, dentists, pharmacies and clinic. There are also Internet cafes, DVD hire shop and the usual selection of shops and supermarkets. Alcossebre has many restaurants and bars, mainly traditional and modern Spanish, but with just a sprinkling of French, Italian, Chinese and English. There is a new lawn bowling club on outskirts of Alcossebre and there are a number of tennis clubs in Alcossebre with the nearest only 5 minutes walk away from the apartment with courts for hire. Bicycles and pedal cars are available for hire in the town and at Las Fuentes beach. The average annual temperature in Alcossebre is 16°C and in the warmest months the average temperature is 30°C. The annual rainfall is also lower than the average rainfall of Spain. There are 3 Excellent Golf Courses on the Costa Del Azahar and a Fourth Under Construction. There are two professional standard golf courses within 30-40 mins drive of Alcossebre. Nova Panoramica ( in Vieros is an excellent 18 hole Bernhard Langer designed course in with a large driving range. Club de Campo del Mediterraneo, near Castellón, also features 18 holes and is the home course of Sergio Garcia and is only a 30 minute drive away. Costa Azahar Golf is a 9 hole course in El Graut/Castellón and is about 25 minutes drive from Alcossebre. Doña Blanca Golf is currently under construction 6km away in Torrenostra, Torreblanca and it will be just a 10 minute drive from the apartment. For cycling enthusiasts, there are good easy roads for cycling both inland and coastal. There are ample facilities in the apartment's large basement garage for secure storage of golf clubs, bicycles and other sports equipment. Guided walks are usually available except July/August when it is too hot - ask at tourist office. Morella is a beautiful medieval walled town well worth a visit by car. Nearby Alcala de Xivert is a quaint town with a newly restored bell tower and impressive church. It holds a weekly market and can be reached by local bus from Alcossebre or is just a 10 minute drive away. Peniscola with walled castle, cobbled streets, many small restaurants and attractive beach is 20 minutes by car. Benicassim Aquarama water park is 20 minutes by car. Go-karting is available close to Alcossebre at Vinaros, Orpesa and Benicassim. Universal Studio's Port Aventura, one of Europe's biggest theme parks is just a 1 hour drive away. The historic cities of Castellón, Valencia and Barcelona are well worth a visit and are all accessible by car within 1-2 hours drive from Alcossebre. The nearest Airport is Castellón which has a direct link road to Alcossebre making it only a 25 minute drive away. Ryanair operates flights to Castellon from Stanstead and Bristol. Others close by are Reus and Valencia with two further airports slightly further afield at Barcelona and Alicante. All are serviced from many airports in the UK and mainland Europe. Barcelona airport is about 2¼ hours drive to the north of Alcossebre along the AP-7 / E-15 motorway and is serviced by: Easyjet from Luton, Gatwick, Bristol, Liverpool and Newcastle; BA from Heathrow and Gatwick. Alicante airport is about 2½ hours drive south of Alcossebre along the AP-7 / E-15 motorway and is serviced by: Ryanair flying from Stansted, Liverpool and Dublin; TUI from most major UK airports; Easyjet from most major UK airports; Jet2 from Manchester, Leeds and Blackpool; Iberia from Heathrow. Car hire is recommended and is available from several companies at the airports and can be booked very reasonably through Auto Europe.

Great property, no complaints what so ever.
Apartment is lovely and very well equipped, no complaints what so ever. The lovely garden didn't get much sun but I'm sure that was because of the time of year. Great beaches very close by (sandy and pebble to take your pick) and very well stocked supermarket about a 2 minute walk away. The apartment block was very secure. Highly recommended.

Fantastic apartment
The apartment we stayed in was amazing, well equipped with everything you needed, very clean and spacious, pool area was well maintained and lovely to sit around, location is quiet but suited us, and was within 10min drive of busier locations if required. 10min drive to beach, would recommend a hire car

Comfortable and well-appointed garden flat in a small development very close to the beach
This extremely well-appointed garden flat is only about 50 metres from a lovely sandy beach, with other beaches within easy walking distance. It is about 200m to a well-stocked local supermarket and two cafe/restaurants and about 20 minutes walk into Alcossebre. There is a pleasant boardwalk most of the way along the coastal path into the town and a pleasant pedestrianised zone near the tourist office. The boardwalk also reaches an accessible beach. Everything in the apartment worked perfectly, including excellent Wi-fi. The shared pool was a sensible size and warm enough in early June to actually use. We found the underground carpark a bit tight with our large car - possible, but we preferred to leave it on the street. Apartment has level access for wheelchair from road and garage (via lift). We were a bit perturbed by the extensive security features, but we later learnt that this is common for Spain and we didn’t notice any disturbing activity in the area.

Great location with a wonderful outside space
Great location, only a few minutes walk from several restaurants/bars and from Playa Romana beach. However this beach does get rather crowded, so it might be an idea to head to one of the smaller beaches further out if you like 'the quiet life'. Within easy reach of Valencia for a day out and the hilltop town of Morella is a delightful place to visit.
The apartment has everything you need for a holiday with very complete instructions how to find it when you arrive and how everything works. (Thanks Barbara & Vaughan!)
We had a great time and enjoyed many strolls along the boardwalk into Alcossebre, a lovely town with a very Spanish atmosphere, which is what we like when we go to Spain. We had a problem with the hot water, which was very swiftly sorted by the property management company (Thanks, Linda!).

Beautifully appointed apartment in a fantastic location. Excellent facilities with everything you could possibly need. Close to the beach, restaurants and all the local amenities of Alcossebre. I would highly recommend this for couples or family time in this a beautiful part of Spain.

Lovely property in an excellent location
The property is a lovely ground floor apartment, tastefully furnished and with a small garden and patio. Excellent facilities - washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc - and first class wi-fi reception. not to mention two sizeable bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The apartment is very close to nearby beaches, some bars, restaurants and a very well stocked supermarket.
Alcossebre is a lovely town - very "Spanish" - ie few British tourists and no ghastly English-type pubs (as far as we know!). Many of the restaurants specialise in seafood and Valencian rice dishes - prices generally quite reasonable.
There are some five beaches surrounding the resort as well as a number further down the coast - mostly sandy and ideal for children. Deckchair/parasol rental is a bit pricey at around 12 euros per day - many of the locals seemed to bring their own.
The owners - Vaughan and Barbara - couldn't have been more helpful and provided excellent instructions on how to get there and how everything worked.
We would highly recommend this property.

We spent 16 days in Alcossebre and as we have been there 3 times before knew Alcossebre and area well.The apartment was very well maintained and everything in good condition and a lot of thought put into its equiping of the property and its contents.There were English speaking connections for you which we found very reassuring and used re television querie.Because of previous visits to Alcossebre would not recommend a holiday in the winter period as it,was "closed down",all our favourite restaurants were closed and even local outlets we had to go into town or further for anything extra required.We were lucky to research before going and found the Benimar Restaurant which we spent Christmas Day and New Years Eve there and Karin,Thomas and her staff excellent couldn,t praise them enough.This Apartment we feel would be beautiful in the summer period as it is well siuated and we found a walk along the beach very pleasant.Contact with Vaughan and Barbara was very good they made sure we had everything we needed prior to our visit and for anyone going for the first time would have no probs finding it.The detail re the property was first class and we feel they went out of their way to ensure to make our visit as perfect as possible.

Eine kleine in sich abgeschlossene, sehr gepflegte Wohnanlage, ca, 2 Minuten von einem naturbelassenen Strand . Schöne Aussicht , kleine Geschützte Buchten.

Die Wohnung sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, zum sich wohl fühlen.
Ausstattung alles vorhanden und funktionell, ordentlich und sauber.
An die Klimaanlage muss man sich erst gewöhnen.

Wonderful holiday
This was our second visit to Alcossebre so we knew where to look for a place to stay which was handy for the town but not too near the centre. This apartment is in a quiet area but it is still only steps away from the nearest beach which is at the end of the road. Only a 5 minutes walk and you are at the larger Romana beach which has sunbeds/umbrellas and pedallos for rent. It's also very close to our favourite restaurant (Ru-Sos), best tapas in town, and a surprisingly well stocked supermarket (Chrisdan) which has everything you could need. It is a very pleasant 20 minute stroll from the town centre along the boardwalk to the other restaurants and bars. We walked down most evenings and particularly enjoyed visiting Casa Isobelle for the fried baby octopus and a glass of the local beer. The staff were really friendly and welcoming.
The apartment was just as described and the garden was even better than it looked on the photos. Very few properties I saw had the outside space to match. It was great to have a choice of beach or garden to sunbathe in and we loved having breakfast on the patio every morning. The apartment was very cool even in the hot sun and we found we didn't really need to use the aircon. There was an abundance of beach chairs which we used some days and there seemed to be lots of toys too. It would be a great place to bring small children as both the garden and the enclosed space at the back of the property are really secure.
Communication with the owner, Vaughan, was very efficient. He was most helpful and answered all our queries by return email. He has even arranged for the people who manage the apartment for him to return my sunglasses which I've somehow managed to leave behind. We would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

Vi hade två underbara veckor i lägenhet, läget är helt perfekt och området var lugnt. Det var vår andra resa till Alcossebre den förra var 14 år sedan. Alcossebre är lika charmfull som förra resan.
Vi kan rekommendera lägenheten om man vill ha lugn och ro med sol och bad.

Well-appointed apartment in a superb location. Apartment was clean and the owners and local management provided first-class service. The apartment listing was very accurate. Being a party of 4 elderly guests the close proximity of the beach and local shops/bars was ideal.

Apartment is in a great location near to some lovely beeches and the small town of Alcosebre. Apartment clean and well maintained with a lovely pool area. Directions and information provided was easy to follow and helpful.

Over the Pyranees to Valencia
My wife and I took two days travelling from Calais, stopping overnight in Brive just north of Toulouse. The following day we traversed the Pyrenees and headed towards Leida and finally into Alcossebre. On arrival at approximately 6pm on Saturday night the temperature was 30 degrees and people were still sunbathing on the beach and the town itself was vibrant. The directions were excellent and we had no trouble finding the apartment, which was accurately described regarding the location and facilities, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and well appointed kitchen. the owners were extremely helpful in responding to our requests for clarification of information. That night we only wanted to visit a local restaurant and have an evening unwinding on the patio overlooking a very pleasant garden with surrounding shrubs and borders. The following days were spent relaxing on the beach, lunching in a local bar and taking siestas in the afternoon. Evenings were spent walking into town and dining at one of the many restaurants available. My favourite being Dora's and Valentin's for their combinado platters, representing excellent value for money. Overall the experience was a pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing one. I would certainly go again and have no hesitation in recommending this location to family or friends. Already planning a return trip for next year.
