Room smaller than booked

Hotel state and location were good.

Unfortunately, I booked a 28m2 double room and they gave us a much smaller one which was not even fitting our stuff. (2 adults ,1 baby). No (or very bad) alternative was offered and we had to search for another accomodation at the checkin date (and at 40deg Celcius)

Great location close to Agios Nikolaos (<10' drive), direct access (walking) to Almyros beach. Amazing views from the veranda where breakfast/dinner was served. Staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and the beds super comfortable. Breakfast was decent however the pool was relatively small.

A great room with wrap around balcony. Views were amazing of the sea. The room and facilities were beautifully clean. we really loved the pool area and the pool bar. The breakfast was excellent and great value for the price. We would love to stay again in the future. We had a fantastic time.

The hotel is a disappointment ...... but the beach is gorgeous.

Rooms were clean. The beds were pretty comfortable. Huge plus - the hotel is located near the beach, with nice and clear though pretty cold water. Easy entry to water. Not many people at the beach. Heaven!!! I think during our stay we enjoyed the beach most of all....

When if comes what we didn't like the list is longer :) First of all, we paid for a room with sea view. We got the ground level room were you could barely see the pool, not even the sea. I asked the reception is this what it meant to be, and the answer is "yes, sorry, this is a side sea view room". You can check the photos below what sea view means according to the hotel staff, but it is clearly not what was expected. The hotel need to advertise their rooms properly, or distinguish between a proper sea view and a "side sea view". I would have never booked this place if i knew we will be put into this room. The balcony of this room was too close to the walking path and we could not enjoy it properly for the following reasons 1) people were passing by staring at us 2) the balcony was not washed and dusty. Next one is the pool and the beach. You pay here for everything. Beach 8 euro for 2 beds and an umbrella per day. Pool - you have to eat and drink at the pool to use it (you can stay at the hotel's pool which is small and no fun). Paying for a few drinks at the pool is not a problem, but the advertising photos can mislead other people. Breakfast not of great quality, pretty simple, not a lot of choice, after 9:30 no more fruits and vegetables left, eggs oily and boiled eggs overcooked. Although the bathrooms were very clean, the shower was not working properly (the switch between head and hand held one). Overall, we were quite disappointed. Maybe it was our bad luck, and the other rooms at the hotel are better, but if i was to come back to the area (for the beach), i would probably choose another place as a base.

Stunning location, friendly staff, tasty food.

The location is beautiful. Eating breakfast each morning on the terrace over looking the sea made the perfect start to each day.

The bed was uncomfortable and the cushions were quite hard but that is down to personal choice as I prefer softer cushions and mattress. The air con unit did a great job of cooling the room but it was clicking loudly throughout the night which kept me awake as I am a light sleeper. Other than that, it's fantastic value for money.

Good breakfest, and very big dinner (worth its price). 2 swimming pools with sunbeds etc. (available pool at "blue river" restaurant next to the hotel). Beach is in range of 3 minutes walk.

Great place to relax

This holiday was more than we expected. A perfect place to relax. The location is perfect, just a few steps to the beach and it's a 20 minute walk to Agios Nikolaos. 2 swimming pools, sunbeds at the pool gratis. The room was new and big, with air-conditioning, cleaned every day. The breakfast was excellent, so many food options, a lot of fruit and vegetables, eggs, pancakes, cakes.. The dinner was even better, it included 5 dishes, the menu was the same every evening, but there were loads of options and the food was delicious! (but make sure you don't eat a lot during the day, its so much food :D) The dinner is definitely worth buying. The food is also great at the pool bar, but I am not quite sure if it belongs to the hotel or not.

There could be more shelves and hooks for towels in the bathroom and I was missing some shelve for shampoo in the shower. Sunbeds at the beach for 8 Euros a day.

Our stay in Blu Acqua was was an outstanding ingredient of our 6 days trip in the East of Crete.

Very quiet place close to the Almyros beach. The garden of the hotel is very nice, clean and it's obvious the personnel is taking care about it. The parking place is inside the property and relatively large, easy access from / to the main road. I had a room at the 1st floor with a very nice sea view, capturing the sunrise every morning. Really breathtaking! The breakfast had multiple options to choose from, the personnel being kind and professional. In fact, the whole team is performing very well.

I am pretty sure if any small issue would be now, this is because of the restrictions we have to face with, all of us, because of the Covid crisis. So, nothing special to point here.

Great value for money! Clean and modern

The pool bar next to the hotel was excellent! People who complain you have to buy a drink, i don’t see the problem, who doesn’t want to have a drink at a pool?

The hotel itself is pretty basic and has a high IKEA feeling.

The breakfast was ok. The beach was spectacular and close to hotel.

We had ordered half board, but the choice of dinner was pour and not tasty especially dishes with fish. Next time I would not choose dinner included.

Staff poorly trained

Beautiful beachfront view and decent breakfast.

The shower was broken, shower gel dispenser too, beds were super uncomfortable, TV turns on super loud every time you turn the electricity on in the room and most of the furniture was Ikea furniture. The front desk representatives have no clue about basic information for guests like airport transfers, room changes or even check out time. They should train ALL staff equally.

Location is excellent (near a very child friendly and beautiful beach, also very close to Agios Nikolaos and other nice beaches), swimming pools, free parking, breakfast was good, mini market available on site.

There was something wrong with the plumbing in our room and sometimes there was a very strong and horrible smell. This was not comfortable at all. Maybe it was only in our room, for a few days only, but it really affected our stay (therefore our score).

Exceptional

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the girl at the reception not only told everything about the hotel, but also advised interesting places where you can go. At bar and restaurant are also all very pleasant. The hotel does not have its own free beach. The hotel is located by the river which flows into the sea, the water is quite cold.
