Portarlington has 5 very popular vineyards within 5 minutes drive - Laura Park Estate, Terindah Estate, Jack Rabbit Vineyard, Scotchmans Hill and the Bellarine Estate all offering wine tasting, restaurant meal or snack. Free Shuttle buses leave from the Portarlington Pier to the wineries daily using "hop on hop off" facility for those not wishing to drive. Uber is also available. Several other great wineries are within a short drive also. With beautiful views across to the You Yangs and Melbourne city, Portarlington is a pretty bayside town most famous for the Australian Blue Mussel. There are also many local heritage attractions and a great selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars. Port Phillip ferries cruise to and from Melbourne Docklands to Portarlington everyday.
