The location and views are excellent.
Hosts are lovely and responded quickly when bathroom sink sprang a leak
A reminder that being surrounded by vineyards is beautiful but includes early morning industry noise of people and machinery at work.
I'm not a Princess but... the Moulin interior decor was somewhat disappointing - nasty plastic storage cupboards in kitchen and bathroom really cheapen the look which could easily be made more ' luxurious' with a visit to a Brocant and a little imagination.
Some simple repair jobs- misaligned cupboard doors, l9se electric sockets, detached extraction hood vent - had been neglected which detracted from the general expectation given the cost of the stay. Don't plan to cook anything that needs more than reheating as there was only one induction ring and a microwave.

Perfect property for two, location superb amongst the vines and only a short walk into stunning St Emilion. Future renters take note the bathroom is in the basement and the bedroom is three floors above, so a tricky descent if you require the bathroom during the night, otherwise a perfect stay.

Not quite what we envisaged but soon got acclimatised to the stairs & coped well at our ages (76&81)
A superb location set amongst all the vineyards with the wonderful town of St. Emilion close by. Weather great most of week and it was a real benefit to sit out and gradually recover from treatment I’d received prior to leaving home, it was like a tonic. Our delightful contact Solange was most anxious that we were enjoying ourselves and was very helpful. Perhaps we needed a lesson in how to use the microwave but overall we managed well. A great experience for two experienced gîte dwellers over many years in our beloved France which we visit every year. By the end of the holiday we were refreshed and grateful for yet another rewarding vacance enjoying all that France has to offer. Thank you.

The accommodation is small, which is ok if you book with that expectation. It looked bigger in the photographs (which are clearly from at least 3 years ago) The main issue with the accommodation is to do with the lack of air conditioning. You might think “so what, that doesn’t matter” Let me explain. The heat in the mill is significant, particularly at night. The sleeping quarters are on the top floor and as the heat in the mill rises the bedroom becomes stiflingly hot - unbearably hot actually. To combat this you have no choice but to open the one window in the bedroom. The problem with that is that you are in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by vineyards and you are then swamped with biting mosquitoes during the night which was very very unpleasant - particularly if you want to wander the streets of the local villages with legs which look like you have leprosy! So our view is that the thought of living in a converted mill in the middle of the French countryside is much better than the practical reality. Big plus point though is the proximity to St Emilion which is a very beautiful place. Solange, the owner, is lovely and we feel awful about giving a review that is less than complimentary.

Fazit: Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft in historischen Mauern! Für Kurz-Trip, gerade in den Sommer-Monaten, ideal!

We had a beautiful stay and the owners were very kind.
The mill looks exactly like on the photos, and the location is perfect: short walking distance to the village, and very quiet and calm.
The historic mill is reformed with very good taste and it has everything you need for a short stay, also a barbecue outside. The view is really wonderful.
All together the stay was fantastic, but you should take into account that you will have to go steps up and down, as you see on the photos.

A recommander vivement !
