You feel like a king and queen laid up in one of their outstanding beds or sprawled out on a 12 foot sumptuous velvet couch while listening to the baby grand that you yourself might even be playing! I don't want to use up my space listing all the ways you'll be amazed. And you will be. But mostly it brings out a feeling of joy. There's a surprise in every corner. Go stand in them. You'll be swinging your head in every direction. To me it's akin to being at an exotic bazaar, You'd need to be rained in for a entire week to appreciate all that is here. It is the ultimate Mount Dora accommodation offering a true old-fashioned Florida feel...with top of the line modern conviences, of couse. Pictures can't do this gem justice, but neither can words. You gotta experience this for yourself. How these hosts have managed to wrap luxury into a laid-back comfy, home feel encased in quirky, artsy fun I'll never know. Be prepared for the opportunity to exist in artwork. Wow. The only bad thing is that once you've been here your expectations of a Vrbo will never again be met. What a great house . It takes about an hour and a half to review the cool things in the house . It is truly and adventure just to stay there if you like antiques and fun furnishings . The house is well done , well supplied and the host are more than accommodating . Book it , you won’t regret it !

The WOW house was just a fun & unique place & my friend & I enjoyed it so much. The hosts couldn’t have been better, so accommodating & helpful in every way. The kitchen had top of the line appliances, beautiful dishes & more. Everywhere you look is decor that is fun & so different. Nice quiet location, & free shuttle to downtown. Take the historic tour. Loved it!

Very comfortable cottage in a quite neighborhood. Exceptionally decorated and clean. Liz was a great host and took great measures to make sure that you were comfortable. I will definitely book again.

The Wow Cottage is a spiritual experience! It is a peaceful house filled with so much joy and loads of character and is an adventure all on its own! You can tell that the owners are passionate about this place and that it was created with love! It's absolutely the jewel of Mount Dora and definitely a place you need to experience for yourself!

We have stayed at many vacation rentals. Liz was the best host EVER!!! She is simply amazing and cares so much that your stay is the best it can be. The house is a destination in itself. It has so many items of interest, we spent a lot of time enjoying the musical instruments, the large picture travel l books she made herself and the endless list of knock knacks were a real treat. She promotes the cottage as the "WOW" cottage but it goes way beyond that. Location to downtown Mt. Dora is perfect. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, safe. There isn't a single amenity missing and she left us such a sweet welcoming note. If you're going to Mt. Dora and size wise this house fits, it needs to be your first choice. We will be staying there from now on, which is my strongest recommendation and no, I am not related to Liz. Her house and hosting are simply top drawer. ,

This cottage certainly lived up to its name. This 1922 cottage had such eclectic style. The theme was carried out from the furniture to all the accessories. There were unique vintage musical instruments along with a piano. Unique items are everywhere for you to investigate and explore. The kitchen had all modern accessories such as a blender, mixer, food processor, toaster, and so much more. The cabinets were full of every item you may need at your stay. You just need to bring your food. The host was amazing! Very responsive, kind, and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and places to see. They helped to make the "surprise" birthday weekend for my husband a great one! The area is quiet and very close to downtown for shopping and trying new restaurants. The hosts have thought of every detail to make your stay a fascinating one. If you are considering staying at this cottage, just do it. You will be so glad you did. We will definitely be back!

There is a reason this place is called the "Wow Cottage" with the many treasures in this well-curated home. This was our first visit to Mount Dora and we loved this place--had the best experience imaginable. The house is a rare gem that is both close to downtown (within walking distance) and VERY quiet. The hosts literally thought of everything a guest might need. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Mount Dora and we'll be back for sure.

This place is an absolute delight! I can't say the number of times I actually said "Wow!" while staying at this gem. I did know there was a baby grand but was surprised by all the instruments stashed throughout the cottage. Wait till you find them. You'll be giggling, strumming, banging or plucking something before you know it. The 1922 house is an impeccably clean, eclectic mix of old fashioned elegance and modern convenience. Funky and fab collide to make this artistic cottage a head snapping delight that pulls you here and there with its museum quality furnishings and decorations. Think great-grandmas creaking front door meets a skylight in the ensuite master bath and candy apple red kitchen accessories. Your senses are delighted at every turn. There are impossibly white, soft sheets awaiting you along with thick, spa worthy towels. Lots of thoughtful toiletries. Large TVs and long, luxurious, deep cushioned couches. Let's not even get started on the mattresses. Everything you sit or lay on makes you feel like royalty. The best of everything...in a rental. Wow, who does that? Then there's the kitchen. You got it...nothing but the best. Loaded with lots of cookware you'd have at your own home. Along with a Keurig and assorted pods there are delicious snacks left with a welcoming note. Every cabinet you open has you again saying "Wow!" All the little things they thought to leave you in case you needed them. Quality things. I assume you've already read about the fresh, organic blue eggs. I mean Wow, who does that? Upon arrival I texted Liz that I felt like I was at an adult Disney running from one room to the next to see something else. Then I assured her I wasn't running in her house. She texted back that I should go ahead and run...that we should all play and laugh more. Well, shortly after I found the horse on a stick. All bets were off. The galloping had begun. We spent a lot of time on the porch. That porch swing is so soothing. The back patio is fabulous for a squirrel and bird show. But this cottage is so much more than just a place to stay. There is so much to explore and see here. Of course Mount Dora is a delight. But the cottage is truly a destination in itself. There is an air of fun at this Vrbo that we've never before had the privilege to experience. It is with gratitude that we say thank you for ALL you have done to make the Wow Cottage such a joy. Everyone - this is a MUST experience rental!

We’ve been to Mount Dora a few times. Absolutely love the area. The Wow Cottage was amazing. We’ve stayed at many VRBOs before. However none match this beautiful place. Liz was such an incredible host. Everything you needed and more to have a great time. We will be back again!

Liz and Lee don’t miss a detail, from the wonderful and comfortable antique furnishings to the perfect porch and location. The kitchen is so well done as are the bathrooms (stocked with fantastic soap and shampoo and towels galore). A 5 minute walk to anyplace in historic downtown Mt. Dora. And the hosts are extremely responsive with any need or question. LOVED it and will book with them again for sure!!!!

We just loved the “Wow” cottage! We stayed for a long weekend and we still can’t stop talking about it. Liz has gone above and beyond to make sure nothing is overlooked to make your stay perfect. The attention to detail far surpassed any rental we have ever had. The location is perfect, a quick walk to historic downtown Mount Dora. There are so many wonderful restaurants and delightful shops. We loved just walking after dinner and seeing all the historic cottages….each one is so different. We are already talking about when we can play a return trip. This was a trip to remember…thank you Liz and Lee for the memories!

This was our 2nd year in the WOW cottage and we, again, felt right at home. The house is well appointed with modern appliances and tv's, yet it has the quaint feel of another time with everything from a baby grand piano to incredible furnishings. Liz and Lee are incredible hosts and so many things were available to us, including a gas grill, bikes, and a well stocked kitchen with coffee, snacks and kitchen supplies. We have already booked for next year! We would highly recommend this VRBO because of the hospitality and its location.

My husband and I were thrilled with this property! We planned a long weekend in Mount Dora with our Aunt and Uncle. This home was charming! The hosts went above and beyond to provide our stay with all of the extras. We plan to be back. This eclectic house was amazing and provided wonderful conversation during our stay. Definitely the cleanest Verbo experience ever. In addition, the hosts suggestions before our stay were very helpful.

A clean, quiet and well maintained house that was as interesting to explore as it was enjoyable to just sit on the porch with a cup of coffee. Location was convenient to the very nice shopping and dining areas of Mount Dora.

This place definitely WOWed us! We would surely come back. It fit our personalities perfectly. There are so many things inside that capture your attention and bring back childhood memories. Easy 10 minute walk to everything downtown and after eating so much good food a walk is needed. Super clean and all you need is personal items. Owners are very responsive as well. Thanks again!

The cottage is so unique, interesting and beyond pleasant. We felt so comfortable with our hosts welcome communication and our stay in the house. It's also a great location for walking in Mount Dora. We really hope to stay here again :-)

My family comes every year to Mt. Dora for the October Craft Fair. We decided to stay at a house instead of a B&B. We found The "WOW" cottage and it is truly an amazing home to visit. The house is beautifully decorated with unique art. The house was emaculate! The beds were so comfortable, the house had a fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need to cook or entertain. They owners left farm fresh eggs and a full stock of kitchen condiments and supplies. Plenty of towels and toiletries. We loved sitting out on the front and back porch areas. The neighborhood is lovely and it's close to downtown. I can't say enough about how great our stay was. We are going to stay here again.

We loved this property! First and foremost, the hosts, Liz and Lee, are the best. The house has everything you need and want when staying away from home. It’s so comfortable and cozy. It’s beautiful and quirky. So much to discover in every room. Oh, and it’s spotless. I encourage you to stay at the Wow Cottage when visiting Mt. Dora.

Wow is an understatement - Liz and Lee made sure our stay was a perfect anniversary success, though I bet they make every guest feel like family! Kitchen/pantry/cooking well stocked and brand new, MBr bed comfy. Linens are top line plush as are the towels. This is a must- stay if you’re looking for a beautiful & quiet home walking distance from downtown. 100% recommended!

The property is beautiful with something new to explore around each corner. The host is wonderful, she had everything you could think of and a few you could not available for use. This cottage is a “must” when staying in Mount Dora.

Love being catered to - mmmm apple flips!

This is our second stay at the “Wow” Cottage. Everything was as stocked with more than ample provisions, beautifully appointed ( with several new additions), sparkling clean, and comfortable as on our prior visit. Liz, one of the owners, had even inquired as to what she and Lee could provide that might make our stay more comfortable. I had suggested some lumbar support pillows for front porch chairs; and by golly, when we arrived, there were two new such pillows awaiting us! We LOVE the front porch and use it daily while visiting there. They had even added some white decorative lights to give it some light in the evenings! (Needless to say, even with the summer heat, we still spent a lot of time there well into the late evening many nights. ) The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to Mt. Dora, and is uniquely decorated, but most comfortable. I would add that the beds are both very comfortable as well. The kitchen has most everything one might need to fix meals there (which we did a lot of this trip). The owners provide a Keurig coffee/tea machine with a complement of Keurig teas and coffees. There are even a few very tasty snack packages that are provided, plus Lee will provide fresh, organic eggs from his farm ( and they ARE super)! All in all, I think most anyone would find this cottage to be a warm, welcoming, and most pleasant getaway location. We highly recommend it! We know we shall return!

Truly enjoyed our stay at the WOW cottage! From our first communication through our trip home, Liz and Lee were very responsive to all questions and made us feel like valued guests in their home. They thought of everything from a well equipped kitchen, welcome card, snacks, getting a grill ready for us, to the organic blue eggs...they certainly wowed us! And then there's the cottage..every time you turn around, you discover something new. The outdoor space was great! We loved sitting in the back grilling and then enjoyed wine and music on the front porch. Area was quiet. Could easily walk into town. Great location Would highly recommend this cottage!
