About this condo rental
Ideally located in the heart of ValThorens, in recent years elected 5 times "Best resort in the world" and 6 times "Best resort in France". At the top of the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world (more than 600km of slopes), it is also a welcoming, semi-pedestrian resort that is as sporty as it is family-friendly and incidentally the highest in Europe. Many out-of-the-ordinary activities, entertainment, and events alternately fun or sporting are offered for all ages, whatever the season. At level 0 of the residence you can find various shops, including a supermarket with a bakery and fresh bread section, a restaurant and a few meters away selling ski passes, a ski equipment rental store. You will have at your disposal a ski and boot locker at -1. The residence L'Arcelle accessible "ski in ski out" most of the season, at the end of a pedestrian dead end just opposite the Sports Center and Aqua Spa of Val Thorens offering many activities in a covered area of more than 7500m², ( swimming pool, spa, weight room, tennis, table tennis, golf... and large children's play area with trampolines, bouncy castles, modules for children under 12, etc.) and the Caron shopping mall. Finally, a car park (P1 that you can book independently on valthoparc.com) is located in the basement of the residence, which will allow you to unload your luggage without difficulty. The apartment is warm, facing south with a comfortable veranda and an unobstructed view of the peaks, glaciers and slopes. Tiled floor, 5 single beds, shower room, separate wc, flat screen television. Between each stay, a final cleaning (not including an unusual state of disorder and/or dirtiness) is carried out by a commissioned company. The technical sheets of the products used for the apartment are available on request. Household linen (bed, bathroom and kitchen) is not provided. Please note that the apartment is Non-Smoking. If, as at the start of 2020, France were to be confined and the resort of Val Thorens closed, we undertake, as we did on this occasion, to cancel your stay included in this period and reimburse the sums which we would have been paid by the site. Note that the wooden bench bed, present in the photos, has just been damaged, it has been replaced by a black steel bench bed. Apartment was not what expected, felt run down and unclean. Plates, cups and kitchen utensils had to be washed before use, shower was only warm, floor was freezing. Admittedly we had not read the small print about supplying your own towels/bed sheets so spent the night with no bedding. Apartment was loud at night and the morning. The description needs to be more obvious. Will not be returning.

The location is perfect, the house was great for everything we needed. Very cosy and right next door to carrefour for any grocery needs. Jean Pierre was very helpful and responded instantly to any queries. We would definitely stay again!

Dommage.
Studio vétuste et très bruyant car situé au dessus de l’entrée principale de l’immeuble et surtout en face de l’ascenseur. D’autre part, impossibilité, après de multiples tentatives de joindre les propriétaires, alors que notre situation l’exigeait.

Positief: Snelle reacties terug van de contactpersoon. Vriendelijk en meedenkend. Negatief: Appartement vies, schimmel, zwaar verouderd, geen stoelen maar houten banken, matrassen en beddengoed kapot en bevuild.

Appartement fonctionnel pour séjour entre amis
Très bien pour un groupe de 5 adultes, que des lits simples, et idéalement situé. Qqs verres et bols en plus pourraient cependant être utiles.
Bon rapport qualité prix sur val Thorens.

Problemen worden opgelost!
Praktisch ingericht appartement, prima voor 4/5 personen. Het is een niet-roken appartement, helaas was er wel gerookt. De service om het probleem samen op te lossen was uitstekend! Zowel met Marion van de huishoudelijke dienst als met de eigenaar. Alle dekbedden zijn gewassen, we hebben extra gelucht. Dus weer rook-vrij voor de nieuwe huurders!
Supermarkt en bakker dicht bij, locker voor de ski’s. Prima appartement.

The owner is amazingly kind
We came at March 2020 at the week they close Val Thorens because of the Corona virus. The owner was very worried about us, and made hundreds calls to different organizes in order to give us more information and help us get out of France as soon as possible.
She even gave us the permission to stay at the apartment as long as we need to.
She was so helpful, this is my best experience I have ever had with owner.
She was very carting, we even sent her a message when we got home :).

- it gets very noisy at night due to parties in the building. Furthermore the apartment is next to the staircase where the doors squeak like crazy and you hear people come and leave, particularly high traffic at night.
- would not recommend to be more than 2 adults, it is very compact.
- It was poorly cleaned when we arrived, but Jean Pierre was quick to give us a refund when we told him. Most of the plates and service was dirty, there was trash on the floor and dusty.
- There is NO pool, hot tub or sauna as stated in the listing, however you can buy access to the sport centre across the street.
- Bring you own hairdryer

We were looking for a convenient apartment that gave easy access to the slopes and amenities and we cannot recommend this location highly enough! It’s basically ski-in-ski-out with the slope and shops accessible a floor below the apartment. It really couldn’t be easier!The apartment itself is warm and clean. It has two sets of bunk beds (one set are in a separate room) and a further single bed. We were a group of four - three adults & one child - and were very comfortable.The kitchen is adequate for preparing simple meals and there is a shop beneath the apartment block that will lend raclette/fondue equipment.We cannot wait to stay again!

We were looking for a convenient apartment that gave easy access to the slopes and amenities and we cannot recommend this location highly enough! It’s basically ski-in-ski-out with the slope and shops accessible a floor below the apartment. It really couldn’t be easier!
The apartment itself is warm and clean. It has two sets of bunk beds (one set are in a separate room) and a further single bed. We were a group of four - three adults & one child - and were very comfortable.
The kitchen is adequate for preparing simple meals and there is a shop beneath the apartment block that will lend raclette/fondue equipment.
We cannot wait to stay again!

Great holiday flat for a short stay..
Jean Pierre (the owner) rectified the fact that the previous occupants had left the flat in a dirty state very quickly. I cannot fault the customer service the owners of this property provided, they were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.
The accommodation could do with a better selection of cutlery and bowls / plates and you'll need to ensure you take your own washing up liquid / cleaning cloths and tea towels if you stay at this venue. We hired skis from the Caron Ski hire shop which is almost next door to the accommodation and received a discount! The location is excellent and the supermarket situated below the flats is very handy. All in all a great week of skiing and apres! Thanks.

Perfect location- ski in & out.
Ski hire shop, leisure centre, cafes & takeaways, shopping centre & two supermarkets on your doorstep. Quiet location (except for Sunday night). Apartment is quite small but cosy and has everything you need. Fantastic ski resort with lots of wide blue & red runs. Very little queuing even though it was mid term as there are lots of chair lifts & cable cars from centre of resort. Events every evening- rugby games in the snow, wolves, teepees & old time sleigh, Chinese lanterns. Owner is very easy to contact via email/message & always replied very promptly & was very helpful. Would definitely book again.

Great Apartment
The apartment itself is not massive, however this is reflected in the price and the price is competitive of apartments of the same size. The amount of time spent in the apartment doesn't really make this an issue, as you're either spending time on the slopes or enjoying the local cuisine and nightlife.
The apartment consist of 2 rooms. One having a bunkbed and sofa bed, with dining table and kitchen area (only microwave and 4 electric rings). And another room with 1 bunkbed, thus sleeping 5. There is then a toilet room, with a separate room for shower and basin.
The location is fantastic. Small walk and ski to the main slope/lift area. With ski back to the apartment door.
There are several restaurants, shops and ski rentals around the apartment, and the resorts swimming pool/jacuzzi is straight opposite.
The owner is very helpful and friendly on the email communication, and is quite prompt with replies.
I would definitely recommend this apartment.
