A Fabulous Stay In Cavtat!
We are just back from a great, relaxing week in Cavtat. The apartment has everything you would need and lots of outdoor space. The pool area is well kept and we normally managed to get the pool to ourselves during our stay. The main bars and restaurants are about a 15/20 minute walk away and there are lots of places to eat out and explore. The hosts also left us a welcome pack which was a lovely touch!

We would highly recommend this apartment. The owners of the apartment stay in excellent communication and nothing is too much trouble for them. The location of the apartment is perfect - 15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants, 5 minute walk to the bus stop and a short bus journey to Dubrovnik. There is a walk uphill to return in the evening but we were glad of it after a day sunbathing/sightseeing and after indulging in too much wine and ice cream. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need and the air conditioner works incredibly well. You can't go wrong with this apartment (it ticked all the boxes for us) and you will love Cavtat.

A lovely apartment with stunning views
We have just returned from a great week in Cavtat. The apartment was lovely, I was surprised at how big the outdoor space was too. We enjoyed several meals on the balcony looking out on the stunning view. There was ample space for four people with all the facilities you needed. Thankyou to the owners, it was everything we had hoped for and we will certainly be returning and recommending this property to others, Jill

Satisfactory
The apartment was as described on the internet, clean and well equipped. When we arrived there was no toilet paper in the apartment and after a long journey that is probably the first requirement! Even half a roll to get guests started would be better. The beds were stripped and all bed linen, pillows and duvets were in the wardrobe upstairs. We have never had to make up our own beds before and were disappointed with this. Not really how we expect to start our holiday.

Had a fantastic time, apartment is well maintained and clean, has a bedroom upstairs with a balcony which is perfect to watch the amazing sunsets, the sun goes down straight ahead with fab unspoilt views. There is also a veranda opening from the lounge. Pool area very nice and quiet. It's a downhill, quite steep walk to town, but buses close by and we got a taxi back. Cavtat is beautiful, with lovely restaurants and a gorgeous harbour, take a boat to Dubrovnic which is amazing. Highly recommend, perfect base for a perfect time.

We had a fantastic holiday in the apartment (my wife and two children aged 11 & 14); the owners arranged a taxi transfer from the airport. It's very close to the airport (20 min drive) but there are no night flights to disturb you.
Nice pool, which we had to ourselves nearly every day. Big private terrace at ground level plus balcony off bedroom with amazing views of the bay, especially the sunsets. Nearest beach about 10 mins walk along mainly quiet country roads, 20 mins to Cavtat. Bit of a hike back up the hill in the heat! (Taxi about £5). Local supermarket about 15 min walk (you have to cross a busy road to get to it). We didn't hire a car this holiday as there's lots to do: water taxi to local islands, and to Dubrovnik (highlight of the holiday for me!), kayaking trips and good beaches. Overall a great apartment in a lovely setting!

We had a wonderful short break at this lovely apartment. It is clean comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed. There was also the added bonus of a pool which is unusual in this area and so refreshing in the hot weather. The best thing for us was sitting on the balcony with a bottle of wine, watching the amazing sunsets. We liked Cavtat, it is a pretty resort with history, beaches and good reasonably priced restaurants with views. It is easy to get to from the apartment - about a five minute drive we did not walk into town but noted that there were plenty of taxis. The owners are friendly and helpful and on-line descriptions accurate. We would not hesitate in visiting again and would highly recommend this apartment to all.

My wife,my 3 yr old daughter and i arrive at the airport to be warmly welcomed by Anton and his son, as arranged by the owners and true to thier word it only took 10 mins to arrive at the apartment. We were pleasently pleased with the condition of the Apartment, it was bright and clean and furnished well enough to make our stay very comfortable. Having a washing machine ment we were able to bring the minimum amount of of clothes [wash it in evening dry by morning].
The walk down to the beach was very nice mostly tree lined with an abundance of exotic fruits such as kiwi, orange grape, limes etc. which our daughter really enjoyed discovering. Yes the walk back mostly up hill was an effort but after a day sunbathing, eating and drinking a bit of exercise was not a problem. The pool was clean and we had it to ourselves for the whole week and eating outside on the terrace watching the sunset was majestic. And here is a tip yes the cafe's and restaurants are bountiful and relativly inexpensive, but if you are brave enough to walk up to the supermarket along a busy road the food and booze is so much cheaper. We bought two massive steaks for 45 kuna [£6.00] and a large beer for 50p and fresh bread the staff were always very helpful and didnt laugh at my poor
attempts at Croatian.{all that we missed was a barbecue} The best beach we found was the first one you come accross just past the hotel Albetross our daughter became a beach bum having to drag her off and the end of the day and it is safe for toddlers being sheltered and shallow with a nice couple of bars for a cool drink or a coffee. A 10min walk along a beautiful coast lined road brings you to the town of Cavtat which is beautiful and full of nice trinket shops, coffee shops, bars and restaurants and to the delight of our three yr old, ice cream palours.
If you dont fancy the 25min walk back to the apartment and it is not that much of a hardship then get the No 10 bus back to Obud just after the bridge and walk back down, you can see the pool takes 10mins.
A couple of nice days out are the same No 10 bus to Dubrovnic ask the bus driver the shout out old town and then walk down the old steps and hire a car and drive into Montenegro its a wonderful day out and make sure you visit St Stefan and Kotor.
We had a wonderful holiday the apartment was lovely the pool, a great way to wind down the town was beautiful and beach was a hit with our little girl.
We are happy to recommend this property to friends.

My partner and I stayed at the apartment in early June. It rained for 3 days, but when the sun was out it was absolutely beautiful! It is a healthy 20 mins / half hour walk into Cavtat (uphill on the way back) which we found very enjoyable but would recommend being in reasonable fitness to do it. Otherwise we left a taxi number in the information file! Fantastic restaurants around a quiet little harbour. Would recommended a walk around the walls of Dubrovnik - not to be missed. The nearest supermarket is up a death defying road (no pavements). We found the shops in town to be a bit better in terms of variety etc. All in all an extremely relaxing stay, we were able to get a decent nights sleep every night and sitting on the balcony enjoying a Croatian beer, watching the sunset is lovely.

August 08
I stayed at this property in August this year. Peaceful, comfy apartment with amazing views of the sea from the balcony.Swimming pool was a nice way to cool off and was never overcrowed with no more than a couple of people using it, as well as us, during our stay. Short walk to Cavtat about 20mins, buses and taxi's are also available although I preferred to walk as its beatiful. On the way is a lovely pebbled beach with alcoves further down the road for sun bathing.
Dubrovnik is easy to get to either by boat or bus (about 30-45 mins) with beatiful views of the coastline. The old town is fantastic with marble floors and stunning buildings, plenty of places to eat with various price ranges. So much to do we're already planning our next trip. Highly recommended as the locals are friendly, great location and accomadation.

Cavtat holiday
We (2 adults and their 2 year old) had a lovely 2 weeks in Cavtat end Aug-Sept 2008. The weather was hot and sunny every day and Cavtat itself was a really nice place to visit, fairly quiet, with quite a few nice places to eat out. There's a lovely bakery in the old town open every day til late, nice ice cream places and lots of cash points!
The apartment was ok not great, mod cons do not include an electric kettle, there were no English speaking cable channels (not a necessity but advertised), and the pillows need to be replaced (the air-conditioning was good though). The downstairs outdoor balcony area was not child friendly at all because it is not enclosed and is a passageway for other people to walk past. It was also dangerous because all of the other air-conditioning systems on that side of the apartment complex leak onto the balcony making it very wet. Added to this were the scary one-eyed cats that were around we really felt this was not child friendly at all.
The airport transfers take about 5 mins and our 2 year old loved all the planes going past. The location of apartment to Cavtat was not great because it is up a big hill (the local supermarket is up an even steeper hill from the apartment). It would take us (two fit adults and a pushchair) about 15mins to walk to the stony beach (which our son enjoyed immensely) and about 20-25 mins back and to the old centre of Cavtat (and marina) it would take about 45 min to walk back. It really was quite far and after 2 weeks we got tired of it! There was a bus back up the hill from the bus station in Cavtat the number 10 going to Dubrovnik, ask for Obud and cost 6 kuna. Its about the 4th stop and you get off after the supermarket at the top of the hill on the busy flyover road you can see from the pool, get off just after that bridge and then walk back down to the apartment, it only takes a few minutes.
Visits to Dubrovnik are good, we got the boat a couple of times from the Albratros Hotel jetty. We went by bus once too but that's trickier because its not very clear where to get off in the old town in Dubrovnik and even less clear what bus stop for the trip back (a walk up the hill near the fire station). We also did a boat trip to the Eliphati islands, which was a waste of a day that cost about £20 per adult. You only spend 1.5h on Lopud's sandy beach, there’s nothing to look at on Sipan and Kolocep and then you spend a very long time on slow boat!

Peaceful stay near Cavtat
Two of us rented this property for a relaxing week end of June early July and were very happy there. We had plenty of room and found the furniture, beds and equipment ample, in excellent order and of a good quality. The air con is efficient, low noise and condusive to very comfortable, good nights sleeps.
The large ground floor terrace is a shared walkway for other guests in the block going to and from their car or the pool but the first floor balcony off the bedroom is totally private and has the most gorgeous views across Cavtat bay. The sunsets are to treasure.
The new pool is a good size for the block, very clean and we we able to enjoy it alone at some point every day.
The apartment is a 20 to 25 minute walk downhill to the main harbour and about a 10 minute walk down then up a steep hill to the nearest supermarket. There is a quicker route for the brave along a busy road with no pedestrian walkway.
Overall this apartment represents good value for a peaceful holiday off the main drag but within easy reach of all facilities and just a short hop from the airport.
